Please confirm that you are 18 years of age or older:
Double that !!
1. Where did you first learn about natural diets for ferrets?
Here of course!
2. Please describe the type of diet you would like assistance in switching your ferret(s) to. Be sure to include if you are interested in feeding whole prey (live or frozen-thawed) and if you are wanting to FULLY switch to a natural diet or PARTIALLY. If you are unsure what kind of diet you want to put your ferrets on, please express that and we can help you find the best type of natural diet for your ferret.
Whole prey is my end game. (Frozen/thawed)
3. Why are you interested in switching your ferrets to a natural diet?
To have happy, healthy darlings!
4. Do you understand that switching your ferret to a natural diet can be a lengthy, arduous process? Its not an overnight switch. It can be a commitment of several weeks or even months. Your HF Mentor will be more then happy to assist you in switching your ferret(s) to a natural diet, but you need to be equally as committed. If you aren't willing to tough out a potentially lengthy switching process, or if you have major life changes approaching (baby on the way, moving, starting school, getting married/divorced, etc) then it might be a better idea to wait on switching your ferret's diet until you have more time. Are you willing to make the commitment?
Yes!
5. How many ferrets do you currently have?
2
What are their names?
Sir and Missy
Ages? They are both 4 months
Genders? Male and female
Do they have any health problems? Nope!
Are they overweight? Underweight? I believe they are neither.
How long have you had each ferret for? 3 weeks
6. What diet do you currently feed your ferrets? (Please include all treats, supplements, etc) Do they already eat some form of soup?
Missy is eating soup at the moment and Sir is soup and pieces of chicken thigh and for treats right now is only Browns natural chicken strips. I had been giving Sir a small piece of freeze dried liver every other day before the soup switch but he has not gotten it since and Missy never would touch it.
7. Have you ever tried to switch your ferrets to a natural diet in the past? If yes, what happened?
When I had ferrets in the past I was a bad ferrent and did not educate myself very well so never tried to switch them. Many years have gone by and I hope to not fail these guys!
8. What additional information about yourself or your ferrets would you like to share?
I'm a nurse a mom of two (18 and 14) a wife and a daughter. My mom had a stroke in July and I go there first thing every morning to get her out of bed then I go to work and then back to her house to get her back into bed. She does have an aid that comes from 10-8 daily while I work and I typically only work 4 days a week. But on those days I am gone from 8am to 10pm. Don't worry though, the little ones are not lost without me! My husband and kids let them out and play with them during the day and then when I get home at 10ish they come out for playtime with me for another hour.
9. How often during the week do you have access to a computer?
Daily
10. Please post a picture of each of your ferrets (if possible).
I will add pictures as soon as it lets me!
11. Have you met the requirements for this program? Are you at least 18 years of age? Do you have your scale, a place to access meats, hearts, livers, etc?
Yes
