I did put the rest of the egg into their breakfast this morning and Missy did eat some that way. I'll be on the lookout for yellow poops tonight! Lol

Yes yellow poops in the littler box. They ate about 2.5oz of breakfast and this is dinner tonight 2 ozs Of beef, gizzard, heart and liver. Sir seems to like it, he took it off the spoon with out any issues and then of course tried to grab the spoon to stash also. He also ate from the bowl. Missy seemed more interested in playing tonight. I put it in their cage to deter Sir from stashing anything and I'm sure most of it if not all wil be gone in the morning.

That looks great! Have you tried any whole gizzards? I buy shower hooks and I hook them to the side of the cage so they can chew and tug on it. Great for building jaw strength.

I haven't yet, but I'm getting there. Each batch of meals I make the pieces get larger. This seems to make Sir happy to no end while Missy drags her feet about it, but both dinner last night and breakfast this morning all went in their tummies so she is not dragging too badly. In fact when I put the bowl out tonight Missy hopped right into it. They have both eaten some now and are playing, I may add more to the bowl tonight They ate 2ozs over night and 5 today. I can't believe they like beef! I don't think they liked lamb very much. They will get chicken again the next batch I do and I'll try pork whenever I buy some lol. My hare today order should come tomorrow and I think rodent pro tomorrow or Friday. I can't wait to see what they do with the pinkies! This is usually my weekend off so I would have plenty of time to spend with them but alas I'm a silly girl and said I would work Sunday. That's ok I still have Friday and Saturday and Monday. Of course all that depends on the aide for my mother showing up too. oh I just remembered I have quail coming! This is kind of fun albeit a lot of work! Lol

Oh and sardines I bought the sardines, they count as a whole meal? I mean as a bone in meal I guess.

As long as they are not canned in some sort of oil or flavoring they should be okay. We try to stay away from fish that might have a high mercury level. Fish WILL give them stinky poops lol. I have a girl that loves a treat of raw shrimp every now and then, but boy if she has a full meal she has some stinky poops.
It's funny that yours like beef and not lamb, usually its the other way around! Lamb is milder tasting. Mine are not big fans of beef.

My hare today order came in today and that is where I got the sardines from do nothing but fish there, can't wait to figure out what I'm going to do with it all and see how they like everything. (dance) They only ate about 2.5 ozs today and 3.5 ozs last night. Which is probably why they only ate the 2.5 today. Normally they only eat 2 ozs at night. I added some frozen gizzards that I didn't chop up last night and they were gone this morning.i put out another 2.5 oz tonight and will probably add gizzards again before I go to bed.

Maybe it was the fact it was ground that they didn't like. I can try lamb again after they are doing well with bones I have a few extremely small lamb chops in the freezer. Either tomorrow or Saturday I will come up with a full menu for the week now that my order has come in. I don't know who put it away for me but my freezer is a mess now and I can't find anything! Lol

They ate 3.5 ozs last night and I gave them 5 oz so just chopped up chicken thigh this morning. They both started eating right away. Since I plan on starting a regular meal rotatation I did not add the heart or liver to it. Today or tomorrow I will do up portions of everything and then post what I plan on feeding them for the week. I had to take the crinkle tube out of their cage because Missy was stashing meat in it and I found her chewing through the lining. I think it was because it smelled like food to her as she doesn't do that with anything else. The marshells tube I have for them though will not last long, they both dig and get their teeth in it to drag it around. There are lots of holes in it already but I do not think they are actually ingesting any of it just playing really rough. We are going to the mall tonight, a trip I promised my daughter who is a bit jealous of the money I spent on the ferrets recently. (She needs bras and had no trouble letting me know she felt a bit neglected! Lol) of course I will stop in the pet store there though and see what they have. Hehe

That is one of the downsides to raw feeding, the stashing lol. I find dried up shriveled food in corners of my house, on top of their hanging cubes, in litter boxes, inside cubes.. I'm always searching and sniffing it out lol.
A good way to help curb that is a feeding den. I use small rubber maid tubs and cut a hole for them to get into. You can also do bathtub feedings for mice and such so they don't stash those.
I'm glad you got your shipment in, ready to see what sort of menu your thinking of!

Well I have spent the afternoon chopping lung, quail and neck. They finished their chicken breakfast before I was done so I gave them the portion of quail I was saving for dinner. They are happily chomping bones and trying to stash and fighting over pieces too. Missy likes to stash in the littler box I noticed now that the crinkle thing is gone. I will definitely check out things tonight while we are out to see what is either premade or that I can convert for a feeding den. I managed to get together the heart meal and the organ meal and the heart and organ meal for the week but I haven't actually packaged anything else up yet.

Spent most of the day chopping and packaging the rest of the hare today organs and sardines and quail. When I left for my mothers they were happily fighting over a chunk of duck neck. That is a huge relief considering the above menu is heavy on it! The rodent pro order should actually come in by next weekend. Then I will have to figure out a menu with whole prey and the frankenprey together. I'll have to find the lovely chart that was made up. I definitely have plenty of organs to last a bit lol I still have 2lbs of lung I have not chopped up and packaged (I ran out of time tonight!) so even if they take to whole prey quickly I will most likely do a mix for a bit until I get rid of my current stock.

They only ate about 2 oz of breakfast today (the boneless Quail) but I think they just had a not so hungry day today as they are playing hard and fast tonight. I was going to try to get some body pics but I can't seem to get them to stay put for a sec! I will try again later.
