Quick question about supplements. He will now willingly take ALL of them in his meals. Probiotics, pancreatic enzymes, reishi mushroom, and I add some powder form of slippery elm bark, since he won't take it as a syrup. I know I need to add the pancreatic enzymes and probiotics for every meal, but how often should I be giving the reishi and SEB?

slippery elm bark - give this only... 1. if it' making a considerable difference 2. when things get bad anything that coats the stomach, it blocks nutrients. IBD ferrets block nutrients. reishi... experiment here.... you may want to try a tiny pinch daily. You may find every other day works just as well. You may find that it does not help much at all. For Boris, I recommend pulse therapy. 2-3 weeks with reishi, one2-3 weeks without it. He seems to be allergy prone. Also. I will be finishing up my investigation very soon and posting stuff- this weekend. I owe some other info to other people as well. -jennifer

OK, I finally ave time and my brain cell (yes, there's only one ) is focused enough and not too tired to think. What I'm going to do several posts on things I learned in the meds section and/or the natural care section for the different things I'll discuss. (possible stickies/) I'll then come back to this thread and summarize tome specifc things to try for Boris. That way info will be more dispersed rather than hiding in a thread. AND, if I lose a post, EVERYTHING will not be gone as had happened in the pat -jennifer
