Yes organ soup sounds like a good start. So far I am only using liver (heart isn't an organ right?) but I can get my hands on all matter of weirdness. Whatever you recommend I can probably find.
Don't worry about me so much until you get better. Know you're not feeling well. Please take care of you and Sonny.

Heart is a muscle meat. Kidneys is what i recommend if you can find that.

I can find kidney for sure. You think if Bella reacted to beef in a bad way, that beef organs should be ruled out?

You can try the beef organs but if she has another reaction then we have to come up with something else. Plan B. Did you try the cut up wings bashed up with the bones in them? Are they eating all the raw willingly? If yes you can remove kibbles and feed two meals a day. Leave some extra for snacking in between meals.

I am going to see what kind of kidneys I find over the weekend, or hopefully I will get there Friday. If I only find beef, we can try that but hopefully there will be another option. As far as having to have at least 4 proteins in the mix, does the same apply to organs? Should we vary the animal organs as well or will all chicken organs suffice?
They eat raw very willingly, as long as the bits aren't too big. I've gone to slivers now, as you recommended and they are doing well with slivers, as long as they aren't too massive.
Wings with bones, they still aren't thrilled with having to nosh on bone but I still will try again. I know we are nowhere until they are eating bone in meats.
With leaving food in the cage between for snacks, are freeze dried raw ok or do they have to be rehydrated? I know for meals it is recommended but for a nosh in between, is it ok to not moisten? It dried up so quickly and then they are left with the mush dry bits that they don't really touch.
I have Stella and Chewys Carnivore Crunch, Bravo turkey hearts and Bravo buffalo bites and purebites chicken breast cat treats.

Forgot to post. Bella's last weight was 2.4 1/2 and she is now 2.5. Clyde was 2.4 and he's back down to 2.3.
He is way more active than Bella. I think she's still a bit tired from the adrenal. Maybe her Lupron is wearing off. She's only at 6 weeks since she got the 8 week lupron depot my vet gave but maybe it's not as effective now. She is due for the deslorelin implant next Tuesday and hopefully her activity level goes back up to where it was when she first got the lupron.

weights are good. no concern.
I do not like Lupron too much. I prefer the deslorelin. the monthly Lupron works better.
add melatonin implant as well. that one is every 4 months.
or add 1 to 3 mg (3 is highest) of melatonin orally about 8 hours after sunrise. that is tough to do bc people work, etc. so you would be best off on the melatonin implant along with deslorelin.

I have Stella and Chewys Carnivore Crunch, Bravo turkey hearts and Bravo buffalo bites and purebites chicken breast cat treats. you don't HAVE to vary organs bc nearly impossible to do since so hard to find variety but it would be ideal. most just use chicken or beef kidneys, hearts and livers. I always leave a bowl of dry freeze dried (I break up stella & chewys dandy lamb and beef patties into little chunks) for in between meal snacking. my ferret free roams so I am not about to have chunks of meat everywhere. not happening. as long as they get their 2 meals a day of fresh raw meat/bones/organs it is ok to leave out some dry freeze dried for in between. I feel it is very important to get ferrets used to liking freeze dried raw products. if you need to go out of town and your ferret sitter won't feed raw, what do you do? if you have to leave at the vets overnight and your vet won't feed fresh raw meat/bones/organs, what do you do? so yeah. I always leave out freeze dried raw. and he eats it but not so much. 2 patties from stella & chewys last him about a week. but it is there in case he is hungry. leave out plenty of fresh water of course. keep working on getting them to eat bigger chunks of meat. just slowly increase size of slivers and then go back to trying the bashed up and cut up chicken wings again. some ferrets take longer than others. do not get discouraged.

Thanks. I am definitely not going to be discouraged. It's hard to do when I am doing such a positive thing for them and the progress is still forward.
I'm with you on the fact that there is no way I want raw meat chunks popping up everywhere. Or even worse, not popping up and starting to smell. So I am glad it is ok to leave FDR around in between. I notice they don't really touch it much either but, like you said, it's there if they need it.
This next batch of pork I cut up, the slivers are bigger so let's see how that goes. And I am trying bashed chicken wings again on Sunday.
I will talk to my vet about the melatonin implant. I notice that the Lupron didn't seem to last as long as we hoped so I am happy to be getting the des implant now.

And you're right, I don't recall seeing anything but chicken and beef organs/parts but maybe if I go to the butcher...I know he butchers whole rabbits and I doubt people buy all the stuff that's inside when he gets them in fresh, although I have no idea.

if there are hunters where you live, see if they can get you venison hearts, livers, kidneys. you'd have to deep freeze those for a few weeks. any wild game should be deep frozen to kill off any parasites.
when the adrenal disease is in early stages, the deslorelin implant lasts a year and sometimes more. as it progresses, alot of people find that the implant only lasts like 6-8 months (most commonly 6 months it seems). but definitely much better than lupron in my opinion.

my ferret is weird. he eats more freeze dried raw during the night. never touches it during the day.
you can also try leaving a few pieces of wysong dream treats. my ferret loves the quail. they also have chicken.
i just break up the discs and mix in with the bowl of dry freeze dried from stella & chewies.

reason i like to use the beef and lamb freeze dried stella & chewys (dry) is because those are tougher and more chewy. they actually help clean teeth and gums.

I'm going to order some of the FDR you recommend. I used to give them the Wysong as snacks so I know they like it. And I suspect Bella will eat just about anything.
I haven't been able to find kidneys yet. I'm still searching. And bought more chicken wings today so tomorrow we'll be trying more smashed wings.

I want to post here some of the raw that I'm looking to buy when I go to this cool pet store that specializes in raw food. It's a drive so I haven't been able to find time to get there but hope to soon. And I was hoping you could tell me if any of them are not so good or are very good Soon as I get my list together, would you take a look at it?
