We have mixed news today. Herman passed. His adrenal tumor was large and the treatment wasn't enough. I carried him in a pouch with me throughout the day and tried to ease his passage.
We have a new single, young and gorgeous. His name is Boomer. Blackjack and Littles have returned. Blackjack is adrenal, but a big cuddler. Littles is a sweet, active girl who loves to climb and explore.

Adoption today. Willow, our 6 1/2 yr old that traveled eight hours to reach us after her mom assumed rat tail was adrenal, didn't want to pay to have her seen by a vet, and was planning to put her down, has found a forever home. She is a very sweet girl, but has been passed up due to her age. I'm thrilled she has found her home.

Wow, I can't believe it has been so long since an update. We have about 23 ferrets in the rescue right now. Things are very busy, but going well. I'm happy to announce that we are on the ferret giving tree this year. . Please pass the word out.

Good news this weekend. Butters found his forever home. He will get to be the center of attention and get cuddled all the time. We are very happy for him.

Thursday we had two new arrivals from the county shelter. Their coats are horrible and they were lethargic and not eating much. Mon. Doc said their lungs and heart sound fine. Tonight Tucker had a bad seizure. I managed to pull him out of it, but I'm 99% sure he has insolinoma. He was alert and eating when I put him down. Sleeping with his buddy right now. We will do what we can for him at the rescue, but I'm sad to say he is a permanent resident.

Tucker and Simba went back to the vet and both have been diagnosed with insolinoma. They are already responding to the pred and better foods. We now have six at the rescue with it. The up side is they will be cared for to the end.
