Breaking my blender was a complete accident. It was quite unfortunate, but these things can happen. I'll be getting a new one soon anyway yay! My Haru drags things too. Yuki managed to make a mess one time and gave us a scare because we thought he was bleeding. That's unfortunate that breakfast didn't go very well. Sometimes it can happen. I'm happy that dinner went well! Way to go Leela! She loves her hearts doesn't she. It is amazing! Both girls did even better tonight despite not doing well for breakfast. Did Flexie have the same sized chunks as Leela? They both deserve a good cuddle for a reward. Flexie is funny. She resists but she really wanted that chicken soupie gravy for her chicken hearts. She must be a tsundere."Noo I hate this kind of meat *secretly loves that kind of meat*" Then I gave her the fatty end first. She started eating from my finger, with just water. I knew she could do it!!! She has eaten about 0.2 oz so far, so I'll try again later and give her another 0.2 or more. Very good. You're being very persistent and patient with both girls. Leela has done exceptionally well today. Flexie on the other hand is still moving at a slow and steady pace, but is definitely making a lot of progress considering she's a stubborn girl. Continue to challenge her to eat alittle more each time. ^^ This is Flexie saying "well, Leela is eating it. I wonder if it's good."Yes Flexie! It's incredibly tasty, try some~ I'm very impressed with them today as well! You're doing a marvellous job with Leela and Flexie. They both look incredibly healthy in their photos. Their fur looks so soft and smooth. Even though they're still working on transitioning, you can already visually see that incredible progress. You're doing great Akane!

That would be scary! Especially yuki being white.... I can picture this crime scene in my head! It's a little too early for Halloween, don't you think? ;-)
Flexie didn't want anymore hearts last night, so 0.2 oz. was all she ate.
I made her chunks smaller. Once she kicks it, she seems to accept it. But she didn't even want to lick them.
And I just realized what you meant by tsundere.... LOL I had heard of this word on TV, but im not very up to date on Japanese slangs!! I have been living here in the US since 2002. Although I do go back and visit every year, my pop culture reference is so out of style. I'm urashima tarou. Hahaha

I just noticed that the 0.2 once of hearts that I put out for the girls last night is gone! Of course, I don't know which one ate it, and honestly I think it was Leela. She really likes it... I'm giving them chicken wings for breakfast. We'll see how it goes. :-)

Good Morning to you (dance)
When do you leave for Japan? Are you getting excited?
The girls are doing really well. They're eating and it sounds like they are eating enough. Do me one small favor and count the pieces that you put out. Write it down and slip it into a drawer. Then when you get home or after a few hours, count the pieces again and tell us how many they have eaten. They seem to like to eat a piece here or there and then come back. I don't think you need to sit with them the entire meal. Just get them started and let them eat when they need to.
If you prepare 14 meals in those little containers that are disposable, your petsitter can simply put them out and let the girls eat when they need to. We know they are eating. She doesn't have to hand feed them or sit with them.
You'll be preparing Mitch and Mango's meals anyway. This way we continue with the girls progress and they don't revert back to kibble. We may not get them on bone but two weeks of remaining in one place will be better than taking steps backwards.
Then when you get back, we can begin moving forward again. Maybe they will be ready for beginning bone. One thing that I learned with children and ferrets. They always behave exactly the opposite of what you tell their sitter they will do. If you have a picky eater, they eat great at a sitters or their grandmothers...harrrumph!
If they misbehave with you, they are perfect angels when you are gone. I think it's to keep us from getting happily confident that we are doing everything just right. We might be but they don't want us to know that. (giggle)
I'll be around most of the day. I now have the 7 ferrets and two/3 (Keller) play groups. It's very entertaining.

Good Morning to me Evening or Night Akkane! How was your day? It's really warm for me today. I agree with Poncesmom! Leela and Flexie are eating very well and the Idea to count the pieces before and after would be great! Both Flexie and Leela could easily eat at different times and no doubt they will both have some meat each while you're not there. I can't believe that time has gone by so fast and you'll be leaving soon for Japan. I think its now safe to say that Flexie and Leela will easily now eat raw while they stay with the pet sitter. You've done such a great job working with both girls to get to this point so it would be a great Idea to pack the meals in advance for the sitter~ You should also request the sitter write up some little notes on their eating and like Poncesmom said, they may behave like little angels and eat very well for the sitter. ;u; We can work on bone in meats when you return. I'm sure they will do fantastic~ :boing:

Hi ladies! I'm kind of jealous of @machan... The though of winter coming is scary! It is now spring for you, right? Christmas in the summer is kind of a strange idea for me as it probably is to many of us, but I'll take that on any given day than snow!
I think it's a good idea, @poncesmom. I will put them in disposable bags like the boys' meals. I think I will also buy plastic plates. That way she doesn't have to do the dishes for every meal. I will make a care/instruction sheet and prep meals on Sunday.
I am very excited about the trip. My mom has ordered the birthday cake, made a reservation at a restaurant, and the traditional 60th birthday is borrowed from grandma. Grandpa wore the same outfit when he turned 60. It's so awesome the tradition lives on through two generations!
I probably won't be posting tomorrow, since I will be in Grand Rapids, Michigan for a ferret show. I will post pictures on FB!

Dinner went very well for everyone. Leela ate 1.0 oz. of organ meal. Flexie 0.8 oz. They both love turkey liver and pork kidney, and I'm very grateful. Although Mango has gotten better, it takes him a few tries before he finishes the whole organ meal. The girls are doing better at this than him!! Go girls!!! I have a full day of fun tomorrow, so I'm going to bed... Good night! Hope you have a nice weekend. ;-)

I love winter! I was born in winter~ Nice and rainy, freezing cold. Just my type of season. I wish it snowed for our winter. I would love to see snow. You're all lucky!! Lets trade seasons this year! I think it's a good idea, poncesmom. I will put them in disposable bags like the boys' meals. I think I will also buy plastic plates. That way she doesn't have to do the dishes for every meal. I will make a care/instruction sheet and prep meals on Sunday.Thats a good plan ! The ferret sitter is going to love it~ I want to sit some ferrets. I'm jealous of @poncesmom now. I am very excited about the trip. My mom has ordered the birthday cake, made a reservation at a restaurant, and the traditional 60th birthday is borrowed from grandma. Grandpa wore the same outfit when he turned 60. It's so awesome the tradition lives on through two generations! You're going to have a blast! I love that idea of wearing the same outfit for a 60th birthday tradition. It sounds so unique! I wish my family did something like that. I hope you and your family have a great time. I probably won't be posting tomorrow, since I will be in Grand Rapids, Michigan for a ferret show. I will post pictures on FB!
That's quite alright. Take me with you. I've never seen a ferret show before. (hehe) Dinner went very well for everyone. Go girls!!!Both girls ate very well once again! They're going to become pros soon. Some ferrets take their time with their meals. I noticed my girl also takes her sweet time eating her organs. (hehe) Flexie and Leela are catching up to the boys. Look out boys! I have a full day of fun tomorrow, so I'm going to bed... Good night! Hope you have a nice weekend. ;-)Good night. Have a great day tomorrow! ^^

Good morning! Another ferret show has come and gone... One more to go this year. I always have so much fun with other ferrents and their lovely babies. I wish it was a ferret show everyday! They ate soup yesterday for convince. Together they ate about 5oz of soupie all day. The boys ate chicken wings in the playpen, but I don't think the girls ate any of that. This morning, the girls ate 0.8 oz. CGH together. Leela came and helped herself. I had to shove little pieces into Flexie's mouth, but she ate once she licked and realized it tasted good. I think they both feel comfortable with chicken. Flexie trying to run away while her sister is eating. Pam told me how nice you (Stephanie) and your husband are. She is so honored that you drive all the way down from Tennessee to drop off your babies at her house.

Welcome back Akane~ The ferret show sounded amazing. Did you enter or win anything at the show?
Both girls have done extraordinarily well. We now know that they do eat alittle when you're not around, so clearly they are eating on their own. Leela is such a good girl for eating as soon as you bring the food out. Flexie probably eats at a different time to Leela. Alot of ferrets are like that. My boy yuki never eats when I bring the food out, but an hour later he'll be chomping down on it. (hahahaha) So how many proteins have the girls tried so far? It sounds like you've done more than a few already.
I'm off to feed my hungry three some breakfast. Good night to you~ ^^

Good Morning :wave3:
I saw tons of pictures from the show. You all look like you had such a nice time. Everyone did well and the ferrets looked beautiful. So did you in your picture with Mitch.
That was nice of Pam to say. She's a lovely lady and I really respect and admire her.
It sounds like everyone is eating so well. Hooray for that. Now you can enjoy your trip and not worry about them eating.
When you get a chance, I know it's Monday and a work week, please post weights and their menu for us. Hugs to your four and tell them they are doing very well. (dance)

I'm sorry I haven't been very active on here the last couple days. I've been extremely busy taking care of things before our trip. I will try to weigh them tomorrow before we leave. I agree, it's important that I know how much they weigh now. So that I know how they did while they are at the sitter's house. Dinner went very well. I mixed chicken hearts and turkey organs together for the girls. Leela ate 1.4 oz. and Flexie ate 1.8 oz. They eat a lot on their organ meal day. I wonder if they like the soupie texture more. They don't eat more than 0.5-0.8 oz. of their chunk meals. Flexie eating dinner. Somebody photo bombed!

I'm sorry I haven't been very active on here the last couple days. I've been extremely busy taking care of things before our trip. It's not a problem and its totally understandable. ^^
I will try to weigh them tomorrow before we leave. I agree, it's important that I know how much they weigh now. So that I know how they did while they are at the sitter's house. Oh wow! You leave tomorrow? (probably not my time though hahaha!) I'm sure they'll all do so well with the sitter. Leela and especially Flexie, you two behave and eat your healthy raw meats~ hehe. Kind of sounds like humans and broccoli.
Wow Way to go girls! 1.4 and 1.8, that sounds like a high score. Yes it does seem ferrets eat more when it comes to things that are pureed or made into soupie form. I heard someone talk about it either on here or the facebook group and how ferrets do it because its easier, or basically lazy route hehehe. All of mine always finish their organs pretty quickly since I too make it into a puree form.
Flexie eating dinner. Somebody photo bombed! They're both looking as pretty as ever! A ferret photo bomb is the best kind of photo bomb.
I'm going to have a nice ferret nap of my own now. I feel alittle un well, but I'm not sick. Its the gloomy weather right now hahahahaha. See you later~

Oh no! Gloomy weather sometimes does that to me too. I feel like I just wake up or I feel tired all day. I hope you are not coming down with something... Take that nap! ;-)
That's a very good idea and a nice thought. I will give her the forum information. I'm not sure if she has an account here, but that is a great idea. Thanks for offering to help while I'm away. <3
I packed their food last night, and I'll update on that later. It'll be a busy day trying to get the last minute stuff done!!
