Oh Btw I got my Salmon oil and talked one of the newbies into getting some as well. I was wondering how much of it u can give during nail clippings? I think I have a plan on how to get my hands on one. I am trying to get a ride from a friend to Petco next month. I kinda tricked her but flip it. I told her I am going to surprise my man for an early Christmas present. WHat she don't know don't hurt her. Thanks for the advice! WIsh me luck

OH, Does insurance give you a break if your ferret gets sick. Where they pay a certain percentage or no?

If she is out of the cage, you can build a fort for her. It's more fun for her, if you play also or you could put some foraging treats out for her to find. Freeze dried raw works great for this.
Take some empty boxes or laundry baskets and throw some blankets over them. Open some ferret proofed drawers for her to explore. Open a couple of kitchen cabinets that are safe and ferret proofed.
Does your boyfriend live with you? Will he be okay with a new surprise ferret?

OH, Does insurance give you a break if your ferret gets sick. Where they pay a certain percentage or no? Human health insurance won't pay for vet bills. I don't know of any Pet Insurance plans. You can apply for something called Care Credit. www.carecredit.com/vetmed/

He will have to be cuz soon as I get her/him I m putting em on raw, so there is no taking em back after that sorry no refund unless you keep feeding them the Marshall crap that gonna give em all kinds of problems. He will just have to tell the landlord and I will tell him I will take the blunt, and deal with it. I will be paying for her/him not HIM! WARNING I BITE

Do you have a photo sharing site like photobucket? That's what most of us use, its simple. You Copy your photo using the Direct Link, then click on Create a Thread under Show us your Weasels. Click on the Icon that says Insert Image, a window pops up and you delete the blue http// and paste your image in. Then click on Insert image and it shows up as code. Once you finish, you hit Create Thread and your picture shows up. You can type something above and below the picture and you can add more than one picture, just keep Inserting Image. Here is a link that will help: holisticferret60.proboards.com/thread/47/post-pictures-videos?page=4&scrollTo=227019Anytime that you reply to a post or create a thread, that bumps it up to the front (page 1). When you come online, go to New Topics and you will see the latest posts and threads. If you lose your switching thread, it's probably just moved down to page 2 or 3. Just go thru each page until you find your Journal. Your pictures will also go to New Topics. No matter what Board, you post on, It shows up under New Topics. You asked about oil for nail clippings. Oil makes for loose poops, so try to limit the oil to 1/2 tsp every 3 days. If you are using it for clipping nails, then just use a little bit. Alot of ferrents simply put the oil on their belly and while they are licking it off, they clip their nails. You PM'd me about new meats. You're still on the soupie stage, but you can try adding some small slivers of a new meat into the soupie. Or Make the soupie using the new meat and keep the organs and eggshell in the soup. bitbyter, isn't that what you suggested?

I found pig liver, heart, beef tongue, beef heart at a farm near me!!! How much of the beef and pig heart do I give Sophia? I don't do well with percentages, so if I have to weigh it let me know. I am ok with ounces.

Sophia is about 11 months, so she is a grown up female. The average female will eat about 2 ounces a day. Winter is coming and they eat a little more. So, I would portion things into 3 ounce meals.
If you are following the Frankenprey menu, twice a week she will get Hearts. One meal of Heart is under the Muscle meat Meal. So for that meal about 2 ounces of Heart.
Then she will get an Organ meal that is Half Liver and Half another Organ, plus a Half meal of Hearts. So, on that meal, she will get only about 1 ounce of Heart.
You are still on the Soupie Stage, correct? If you are then you will only add about 1 ounce of heart to the soupie.
You did very well on your shopping trip. Isn't it fun to find all those great foods? (dance)

r stew cubes ok to put in it? From reading your Journal, you are still on the soupie stage, right? You could certainly try a new protein and you already have beef heart. So, the Beef stew cubes will give you an idea of whether Sophia likes beef. Measure your beef cubes and stick with 8oz to 1-2 oz of beef heart. You might want to cut the cubes smaller, to make it easier on your blender.

I cut everything up and put it in there and my ninja takes it like no ones business! I got it done in time to give her some this afternoon before she went to sleep. At first she is like"I don't want it" but within an hr she ate about an ounce, so that is a good sign! I started off spoonfeeeding her to show her this is new but it is good. We r off to a good start and maybe she will eat more tomorrow. I hope she keeps eating it cuz there is alooot of it! I am gonna rotate her meat about every 3 weeks or month so she isn't eating the same thing all the time. I have a pack of wings as well, so whenever you think she will be ready for them please let me know.
