Sari was happy to be getting her NV venison tonight ;D That plus the RR seemed to help whatever is going on with her. She ate a TON in one sitting. I still added NV rabbit to it... she didn't seem to mind at all. I know she's been eating the chicken/rabbit mix because I've seen her on several occasions when in the cage, but she definitely doesn't eat it as enthusiastically as the venison, and definitely doesn't indulge ;D

You may have found her achilles tendon when it comes to food....venison ;D She also may be starting to come around, which is a really good thing Keep it up, I think with all the things going on in her life she may be just a bit stressed and reacting to it ciao

Is it weird that she likes the taste of the RR? I got the dropper out ready to rub some on her nose and ears, and she put her paws on my leg to sniff it, so I squeezed a drop on her nose. She licked it off, then proceeded to keep licking the end of the dropper They are all doing good on the venison/rabbit. What's the next step? Should I start switching proteins daily now or should I add some chunks in?

My guys like RR....I think because all my oils come in the same type of dropper. Does it have a bit of alcohol in it? That too might make a difference , if not it doesn't taste like anything.....maybe she knows it helps I would be tempted to try switching their proteins back and forth daily until they will accept it without question, then we will start putting little slivers of food in it. That would be my plan ciao

Okay. I think I will up the rabbit mixed with venison, just to make sure they will eat the rabbit if I were to give it on it's own. Sari is definitely back to being herself today Still no kisses, but I'm just happy she's back to her goofy, cute self

I'm so glad that Sari is starting to settle in and be herself. Let me know how the more "purer" version of your protein mix is received ciao

Success! They ate a 50/50 mix of venison and rabbit both last night and this morning without problems! I still need to go pick up some NV chicken, but we keep getting up too late

They are up to 75/25 rabbit/venison If they will eat all rabbit tonight, then I'll start switching between the three proteins daily and see how that goes.

That sounds great. Do you have access to other proteins in your commercial grinds or are you planning to supplement with whole meats from your grocery? ciao

There are other proteins, but I just used commercial as a start. I eventually want to cut out commercial raw all together, and feed only whole raw stuff from the grocery store and some whole prey.

That's great...just wondered what your ultimate goals were. What prey do you plan to feed? ciao

There's a reptile store nearby that sells live and frozen mice and rats (they breed them themselves) and frozen rabbit. I want to be able to incorporate at least one, but it would be even better if I could get them to eat all of these as an addition to grocery store meats.

That's the same mix of prey that I feed for the most part. Sounds good. ciao

They did great with just rabbit today It seems to be a favorite now, even with Sari ;D Tomorrow, I'll give them venison, then the next day chicken... hopefully they won't fuss about the chicken
