Let me know how it goes. Once they will eat those 3 proteins without questions...just digging into them, then it will be time to move on and change something in their orderly world. Poor Sari...change is not her friend ciao

Fed chicken today... NO FUSSING That also goes for rabbit day and venison day! ;D I'll feed just chicken again by itself tonight, but tomorrow, should I start adding chunks? When I start adding chunks, should I still switch between proteins daily?

Congratulations....that is so fantastic Do they have a favourite? I would use that and add a couple of tiny slivers of meats. Just finger nail tip sized...just so hey actually notice a change in texture. If they don't blink at it then add more. ciao

Then it doesn't really matter. That's even better. Just remember to keep the pieces really small and few to start with. At the beginning they will probably stash or run off and chew the pieces. Do you have a feeding den? That might prevent them from stashing. It doesn't always work, my guys prefer their own stashes...but sometimes it works. It makes them feel comfortable enough to continue eating near the bowl instead of wanting to run off and hide and eat their meal (that's just the nature of the beasty ) ciao

They seem to be eating around all of the little chicken pieces I've been putting in Should I put in a little less of the ground so they will be a little more hungry by the time the chicken pieces are left over? Is there anything else I could try along side that?

Have you tried popping some in their mouths...rather like the scruff and stuff? Sometimes, a bit of hand feeding gets them into the idea that the other stuff is good too ciao

Okay. I'll try that... hope they don't hate me for it though I did wake up to an empty bowl today. Bantha was the last one I caught eating, so I think he was the one who ate the small chicken pieces Not sure if any of the other ate any though... most likely not

Maybe, you should just leave it....if they're eating it then maybe they just need time to get accustomed to eating lumpier soupy I have no absolute answer to this one. If you want to wait a couple of days and see who is eating what or if they're eating the slivers then do so ciao

So far, the pieces are left in the morning meals, but eaten over night. Should I keep it where it is a little longer or try increasing the amount of the pieces?

How thick is your soupy? Maybe, you should try thickening it ever so slightly if you haven't already. Otherwise, try adding a few more pieces, they're eating it but are all of them eating it? Do you know? ciao

It's still so hard to tell, but I'm pretty sure Bantha and Sari are eating the little pieces. The soupie is pretty thick, too. I just hope I can get them out of this stage soon ;D

Try adding some varied sized pieces and see if your two wee piggies will eat those or not. Don't do a whole lot of pieces, just one or two and see if they're ready to eat bigger pieces ciao

I think we're making progress I figured out this morning where everyone is on eating small chunks. Bantha is a vacuum ... no surprise there ;D He's eating chunks like a champ. I caught Reks eating one small chunk this morning, but that was it Sari unfortunately isn't eating the chunks quite yet like I thought, but she does pick them up in her mouth, places them outside of the bowl, then licks them clean ;D She did manage to eat a few small shreds while trying to eat the remainder of the venison mush. Pan I'm not worried about. I didn't catch her eating this morning, but the other night, she did eat some plain small chunks of chicken with pumpkin smothered on it (they finished their food in one sitting that morning, so I put that in for in between feedings). She's my least picky ferret, followed closely by Bantha (who used to not be that way despite his size ;D), so she eats just about anything you put in front of her ;D I'll keep it where it's at right now for a little longer until Reks and Sari are more on board with it, then I'll start putting in more... does that sound good?
