I'm wondering if some of those vets on the chat simply don't want to be bothered with all the paperwork Here's hoping the lupron kicks in quickly for him, giving both he and Kenai(as well as YOU) a rest! I swear, ferrets are getting this disease younger and younger

I don't know what it is. Either we weren't recognizing it or they are indeed getting it younger. At which time we need to look carefully at diet, lighting, genetics and altering. I know that when I first got into ferrets we weren't seeing it at this early an age. There are many that believe that the farm ferrets are now genetically predisposed to adrenal. You are also seeing ferrets who are spending odd hours out and about under artificial lighting so that they can be with their people. This whole early spay/alter isn't helping the little ones either. ciao

I know the lighting isn't helping mine. I live in a small two bedroom townhouse. The cages are in the living room. 3 out of 9 now have adrenal, and I"m thinking Boris may just be the fourth
