Roxie is eating a mixture of chicken, pork, turkey, chicken liver, chicken hearts, chicken gizzards, and pork brains!!! She's eating really good! And still eating her chunks a few at a time! She eats about 5-6 cubes a day still....and she's still full of energy!!
Ringo is still eating his wysong kibble soupies every 5hrs but I've been adding a mixture of chicken, chicken hearts, gizzards, livers, and pork brains to each and he's been eating them! I started out w/ a very tiny amount so he wouldn't notice and I've increased a little at a time! He's eating about 2-3 cubes a day mixed in w/ the kibble soup! And he hasn't had a seizure in almost 2 months!

That's really good about Roxie. Can you get some chicken wings? I think getting her on some boned meats would be good, especially since she's eating chunks. As for Ringo, that's great!!! Sounds like he's doing awesome, thanks to you

Any updates? Is it possible you can update more frequently? I think we really need to get Roxie working on chunks and bone in meats.

Sorry I've been a little slow on the updates....I've been super busy w/ getting my kids ready to start back to school and their birthdays! That's alot of shopping to do..lol. Now that their back in school I'll hopefully be able to update more often.
We're still on pork, turkey, chicken mixture w/ small chunks of chicken w/ Roxie. I was increasing the size of the chicken chunks but had to fall back because she quit eating them. She's eating chunks the size of my pinky finger at the moment. Still eating around 6-7 cubes a day! I did try giving her a chicken wing ... she checked it out but acted uninterested.
Ringo is still taking small amounts of a chicken mixture w/ his wysong! He's gained a bit of wieght over the last few months! He still hasn't had any seizures!

Hi! Thanks for updating I understand how busy life can be So for Roxie, I think it would be good to try this. Cut some long, skinny pieces of meat (whatever she likes best) and hold them a little above her head, with maybe some soup or oil on it. Hold her in place an see if she goes for it. Also, you can try scruffing her an "stuffing" the meat into her mouth and getting her to chew it. Another option is skipping a meal (morning or night) and then offering her only some long skinny slivers of meat (1 cm thick, ~1.5 inch long). See if her appetite can encourage her to eat the whole pieces

Tried to feed Roxie another chicken wing yesterday...this time I brushed a little olive oil on it but it was a NO GO! lol She licked the oil off and wouldn't touch the rest! soooo.....
Today I'm gonna try what you suggested and have her skip a meal and give her just slivers of chicken and see how she does w/ that! Will let you know how that goes!!

You can also smash the wing up really good (so the marrow is all exposed) and cut that into slivers and see if she goes for that.
What works for me is to scruff the ferret and sit them on their butt. I hold the long piece of meat over their head and let it touch their mouth so they start licking it. You can also gently push the meat into their mouth so they have to taste it.

So I made a nice chucky bowl of chicken slivers for Roxie today! She wouldn't take the slivers from the bowl so I got down in the floor holding her and started feeding her off my finger ... some pieces she'd eat, others she would hold in her mouth so I'd let her down and she'd go off into the room off the kitchen and emerge a few minutes later! I'm thinking "wow she's eating them!" So after a few I stood up and followed her quietly to the room and stand outside the doorway ... lol ... she was licking them and leaving them behind! ;D ;D ;D A sneaky one she is!!
So after I picked up all the pieces she left behing I decided to take a different approach! I stood by the kitchen counter and held her continously while I fed her slivers off my finger! Smaller pieces she'd take really good and chew up while in my hands ... bigger slivers I'd have to shove gently in her mouth ... if she held them in her mouth I'd put her down on the counter and watched as she chewed and swallowed them! All together she ate probably about 10-15 slivers! After those I let her down for awhile to rest! I'll continue that process throughout today and see how she does!

Ughhh...Roxie is being very difficult!! She seemed to enjoy the slivers at first but now she wants to fight me tooth and nail!! And when I put it in her mouth she just spits it right back out! I tried mixing the slivers w/ her soupies and she eats everything around the slivers I even cut the slivers really tiny a few times to see if that helped but she just seems reluctant to chew anything??

Hm. I would be tempted to let her skip a single meal and see if her appetite encourages her.
How long have you had Roxie? How old is she again?
