Also, can you recommend me a jerky or dry treat he can chew on that's nutritious?

Okay, so chicken, quail, and what else? Do you want him eating full frankenprey? If so, start by just thinning the soup every second day and adding enough actual meat to make up for it. How large are the pieces he's eating now? Would you please post a Monday-Sun style menu so we can tweak it if needed

So far he's been on a consistent meal of raw soup (either chicken/turkey thigh mixed with ground beef or ground lamb, or quail body) And I feed him that twice a day with quail or chicken wings. He usually eats the whole quail wing and can get maybe half of the chicken wing chewed up. I tried adding pieces of meat to the soup gradually and he always licks around it. He'll eat some chunks if it's really watery. I know he must be sick of eating the same thing everyday. Is there a solid treat I can add in? He doesn't seem to care for yolk anymore. I've also left out pinkies and mice for a couple of days at a time and will dab his nose with the blood to try to get him familiar but he just seemed mad or nervous and runs away. After the first week I felt like I was wasting lives. As far as the meal chart per day, his meal is pretty consistent in the soup ingredients. But every other soup batch I switch between red meats and mix that in with the chicken or turkey thigh. He usually doesn't like the soup if there isn't dominantly poultry but it's been a while since I've tried all red meats so I'll give it a go again! As far as heart, that's always chicken and for organ, mostly veal brain and chicken liver, alternated between batches. With his meals, he gets chicken and quail wings. Depending on how much he eats the wings and his poops, I tweak the bone meal.
How do you feel about adding in stella and chewys to the routine? I understand it can get pretty expensive so I would keep it to 2 fdr per week.

If he is eating actual bone in and chunks, why are you still giving soup daily then?

He won’t eat the meat or organ by itself, even with yolk on it. He’s been fighting me on the soup lately too. After momo died, it’s kind of been a challenge to feed him. He won’t approach the bowl on his own and when I help try to get him started, he eats about an ounce then won’t eat again until about 12 hours later (if I let him) to which he’ll scarf down an entire bowl and maybe some chunks. Most of the time the slivers/ chinks get licked around. I’ve tried everything that FireAngel suggested and nothing has worked. thats why I was asking about the freeze dried raw.

I see. How thin can you make the soup before he stops eating period? And the method you mentioned about only eating a small amount and then a full dish is fine. And yes you can do fdr, but it is THE most expensive way to raw feed

Is there a brand you can suggest? I heard stella and chewys is okay but the ingredients read some veggies. He actually likes it thinner but I'll make it a thin cake batter consistency and add in different sized slivers.

I use stella and cheweys' fdr. The feline is easier as the bits are smaller. But I also use the canine variety(just stick to the 95%). Avoid the 90% that one is too high in non digestibles. Mine ADORE it, as do my cats

Hey, if you are happy with him eating either commercial raw or fdr that's fine. However if you would prefer to have him full on frankenprey we'll keep at it

Oh that is wonderful Now is the time to start thinning the soup until it is just water Every 2nd or 3rd meal, add a bit more water to the soup until it looks like meat coloured water(think thin blood). At the same time I want you reducing the amount of the soup every second meal until it is just topping the meat sort of like gravy on fries. Let me know how he does.

Hey there! He's doing really well with turkey but he'll toss the chicken, which is the batch hes currently eating. His poops are getting watery also but still have form and a healthy color to them which I'm assuming is from his dumping the chicken and only eating the watered down soup. If I add bone meal will that cure that? I'll put in turkey next meal but for the future if I'm out of the meat he likes.. Also, He woke me up in the middle of the night by trying to throw up. It sounded like he was full of water and kept pawing at his mouth. That went on for almost a minute and he stopped and crawled back into bed after giving me kisses. It really worried me but he's acting fine now. Is that a symptom of too much poultry or a blockage? And should he be vetted or have you experienced that with your fuzzys?

Coughing/trying to throw up sounds like he had a hair caught in his throat. I'd not worry. Out of curiosity, exactly how much "soup" are you putting on the meat? It should only be enough to coat it, not like meat bits in soup. Think gravy on fries.
