Hello again! This week we've done the same schedule with feedings, breakfast and dinner. The bone in's only got touched for some chewing but not actually eaten. It seems she likes the loose meat from the turkey necks and definitely likes protein chunks when that's the meal but for the bone, she's being picky as well. Seems like Appa is teaching her all his picky habits :/ I got the darwins frozen raw cat patties and not one of the ferrets liked it. Jambi did for a day but wouldn't go near it after so we went back to her frankenprey menu (even though it was mainly getting hidden in her play pens) After the 3rd morning, I broke down and gave her soup, worried that she wasn't eating enough. The poops were smaller and her energy seemed down. But now the soup is all she wants again. I noticed the raw patties from the darwinspet.com website has small bone fragments and someone left a weird poop. We stopped those raw patties two days ago, though. Do you think it could effect the poop still if it's a blockage? I feel like bone would break down eventually and should have by now but here's a picture of it. Please let me know your suggestion on this! I've never seen anything like it! imgur.com/a/C2Z8z5m

Hi just an update, both ferrets have pooped big normal poops! I'm not sure what caused the weird pencil thin poop but they both got egg yolk and pumpkin and they're back to normal yay

Sorry, missed your post from the 20th! What I'd like you to do with her is to teach her she has no option but to eat what is in front of her. Start by giving her JUST the middle section of a chicken wing(cut between the bones) for a meal. Next meal time remove what she hasn't eaten and replace it with a new middle wing section. Do that for about 3 days in a row, every meal time. The idea is to get and keep her a bit hungry so that she starts to actually consume the bones. She's young and healthy so this shouldn't be an issue. In the interim do NOT let her have any access to Appa's grinds.

No worries! Time completely slipped away from me so let me apologize for the extremely late reply! Jambi is doing great with her bones! For a while there, all she wanted was Appas meals so I am so pleased to see her ask for seconds of wing or mushy liver. I tried giving Appa the darwins meal again but he wouldn't eat it. I tried mixing it with the soup and he ate it with hesitation. Then I tried weaning him off the soup but he then stopped eating. :/ And that boy can really go on strike when his soupie is on the line. So i ended up giving the rest to some local ferrents. I'll offer him wings a few times a week and he'll nimble on them so I'm going to keep trying while also brushing his teeth so his pearly whites are shiny. I'm also looking into trying a different grind. I'll update ya when I find a good one. He also started getting his mct's again. They never fully left and stayed very small but I feel his strike made his tummy act up and stressed him out some, causing the bump on his lower side to get itchy and he also has one above his whiskers. That one must've gotten scratched because it's a pretty big scab. I tried a warmed soaked napkin but he won't sit still long enough for me to get it off. It seems his hair is stuck in it I will update you on that visit also! <3

I can't recall, is he being treated for adrenal? That can trigger mct's. Also, please post a menu for Jambi.
