Day 32 Feeding (3) / Day 23 Feeding 1. Ferret's name: <Mimi> [Precious] (Logan) "Wade" 3. Ferrets have eaten: AM Feeding: 1.4 ounces boneless skinless chicken thighs + 6.9 ounces chicken livers/Pork kidneys + 1.5 ounces soupie mix (25% soupie / 75% chunks - last week's soupie menu before fully switching to Frankenprey PM Feeding: Same as above 4. Stools: mixed. Some had fully formed but soft stools, others consistent with organ feeding day 5. Activity levels: 7 hours free roam time 6. Weekly Menu: AM Feeding - 13.8 ounces chicken livers / Pork Kidneys PM Feeding - 9 ounces chicken necks Note: They did not take to pork and kidneys right away, so I mixed some left over soupie to entice them to eat. They only ate half of the portioned organ meal for morning feeding. Finished the remainder of the organ meal prep during night. Doing so moved my chicken neck to the following day's meal. After the next day's morning feed, will continue on with the correct meal prep. 7. Stresses of the day: - 7 hours free roam time - Only ate organ meals for the whole day with mixed chicken thighs and soupie for a total of 19.6 ounces for the day. 8. Notes: - Surprisingly in the middle of the night they did not get hangry but in the morning when they caught wind that I was awake, they started following me to give them food. Hi @trioorti I'd say it's time to start introducing other proteins now so they don't imprint on just the chicken.

Hi @trioorti I'd say it's time to start introducing other proteins now so they don't imprint on just the chicken. Oh they've been eating beef and pork. Also they've eaten pork kidney and beef liver fine. Tomorrow is beef hearts. Squab I am introducing in today's feeding so will see how they do. I have ground bison that I need to mix with left over soupie mix to get them used to it so by next week theyll take it easily by next week. Rabbit, quail and Cornish game hens are the next proteins to be introduced after squab once they are defrosted and I get a chance to break them down and portion.

Day 34 Feeding (3) / Day 25 Feeding 1. Ferret's name: <Mimi> [Precious] (Logan) "Wade" 3. Ferrets have eaten: AM Feeding / PM Feeding: 9 ounces squab 4. Stools: fully formed and chalky. Others very loose and funky due to introduction of squab. 5. Activity levels: 6 hours free roam time 6. Weekly Menu: AM Feeding - 9 squab PM Feeding - 13.6 ounces Pork Heart Note: They were very slow to eat the squab. So I stretched out the 9 ounces portion throughout the whole day. They only threw a hangry tantrum in the middle of the night leading in to their morning feeding for the next day. The following day will continue with a full say spread of 13.6 ounces of pork hearts. 7. Stresses of the day: - 6 hours free roam time - Need to increase one of their meals with the addition of 9 ounces bone in - Played/Soaked 1 minute in warm water to get crusties off because it was their weekly bedding / cage clean up. - Tried a little bonding with the bebes by massaging. First it was a light scruffing just to get them to lay still and relax. Then I laid them in the crook between my thighs while sitting down on the ground. As they lay on my lap, I then let go of the scruff to see who stays still. Then from there, go to massaging the backs of their necks, front and back paws, and the whole underside of their body. Then when they turn over on their own accord, a do a light rub of their backs from next to tail. The only ones very responsive and seemed to enjoy it was Wade. After letting go of his scruff, he stayed still during the massage for a good 15 seconds before trying to squirm away. Did that twice and he allowed it without any biting. Second to allow me and stay still was Precious. Mimi not so much. The moment the scruff was let go, she wanted to squirm away or use me as a live stepping stool to get on the bed. Logan just thought it was play time and grabbed on to my fingers and play biting 8. Notes: - Wade is learning to let me know he's hungry by biting me.
