Day 6 - AM/PM Feed 1. Ferret names: Mimi, Precious, Logan 2. 9 ounces of soupie mix + 1.5 ounces small bits of liver + 1.5 ounces small bits gizzards/ hearts + 3 ounces of chicken thighs + 1/2 teaspoon bone meal 3. Stools from all three ferrets: m.facebook.com/groups/158560084258398?view=permalink&id=1480028018778258 . Even with the addition of extra bone meal, there's no changes to the consistency of their stools. For meal 7, I will increase bone meal again by another 1/2 teaspoon to see if their stools become more formed. 4. Activity levels: Another 4+ hours total outside of their cage. 5. Weekly menu: Soupie mix + small bits of 3 ounces chicken thighs, 1.5 ounces hearts/gizzards and 1.5 ounces of liver + 1/2 teaspoon bone meal 6. Stress Levels: - Introduced a new fleece blanket to their play area. Played with them by covering all three at once with the blanket. - Don't fully understand what Precious was doing. She got all excited on top of the blanket and started baring her fangs at no one in particular. Then she'd dive on the towel, sometimes roll over on her back, fangs bared. Mimi was in the bathroom exploring and Logan was under towels in a different location from Precious. - Due to work hours, couldn't finish their morning meal portion and have to use it for their dinner well. Twice in a row it has happened. 7. Notes - The two look plumper since I first met them. Don't know if it's their winter weight but Precious especially looks very fat. - Precious has taken the larger pieces of meat and will eat it in front of me and not run in to her stash when being fed outside of her cage. - Logan's dark stripe coloration on his back looks darker and has become a thicker line than when I first got him. - Precious likes to camp in front of the food bowl and eat. - Next feeding I will move their bowl from the 2nd level of the cage to lower level because they seem to ignore that food bowl. Day 7 - AM Feed 1. For meal 7 AM, I forgot to increase bone meal. Will do it for their evening meal. 4. Activity levels: Over 3 hours outside of their cage today as I was prepping their meals for next week. 5. Weekly menu: Soupie mix + small bits of 3 ounces chicken thighs, 1.5 ounces hearts/gizzards and 1.5 ounces of liver + 1/2 teaspoon bone meal. Only 2 more days left and then since they are eating the small chunks fine in the cage, going to lessen the amount of ground meats and start increasing smaller chunks ration. 6. Stress Levels: - Introduced a new play toy: plastic bag. Logan ignored it. The two girls got their aggressive play and started baring their fangs towards the plastic, clawing at it while it was falling down on them. Both girls arched their backs and started jumping around the floor. This attracted Logan's attention and started play biting with the girls. - Since I was meal prepping, I really wasn't in the room with them to supervise. But 3 hours in and Precious let herself back in the cage after playing to take her nal. - Didn't get a chance to start their morning feed until 11am. Normally it's when I wake up around 7am or 8am. - Removed their cage litter box and the bathroom corner litter box to get washed. - Replaced their cage litter box with a back up litter box which I keep in hand for rotation. - I was not in the room to play with them in the morning. 7. Notes - Normally it's Mimi that puts herself back in the cage after play to take a nap, but this time it was Precious and Logan. How much are they actually consuming per meal on average now? How are they accepting chunks? What is the ratio of chunk to puree? What size are the pieces?

How much are they actually consuming per meal on average now? How are they accepting chunks? What is the ratio of chunk to puree? What size are the pieces? Per meal since I have it portioned out already is listed in each feeding meal per feeding. Due to work and how many times I can come back and check in on them. Days where I can check in multiple times, I break up their alotted feeding portions. Small chunks they are accepting fine. Since my knife has been getting dull I noticed that the liver was not sliced all the way through so they leave those 1/2" slices alone. What my food processor doesn't break down into a fine puree in the gizzards department, they leave alone those sinews. Tomorrow is their last day of 25% small chunks, 75% soupie. They got switched to small chunks mixed in after 3rd day of straight 100% soupie mix. Starting for their day 10 feedings, their ratio will be 50% soupie, 50% small chunks. Small chunks are 1/4"×1/4" pieces. They stash the chunks when fed outside of their cage. Inside they eat and i haven't found anything stashed in their bedding or litter box.

Okay, so what you listed is actually what they are consuming then. Good Honestly if they are accepting what you are giving and eating it, I'd push them to take more and more small bits every 2nd or 3rd day at the most. You don't want them to start imprinting on one texture, and a week and a half can do that. As long as they don't suddenly balk and stop eating keep increasing the amount until accepting half and half small bits and soup, then start increasing the size of the pieces a little bit. However with the size increase think 'meat spaghetti" sort of. Make the pieces about the same size around, but longer instead. So if they take say 1/4" by 1/2', make the next ones 1/4" by 3/4".

Just because i saw him and Precious trying to be sly after the video to steal that from him haha
