Day 1 1. Ferret's name: Mimi 2. Ferret's weight: 938g 3. Ferret's Daily Medications: n/a 4. Ferret has eaten ".76" amount on average per meal. Through hand feeding soupie mix. 5. Stools: No reported stools as of yet. 6. Activity levels: 1.75 hours of free roaming the bedroom after I finished prepping their soupie meal for the week. 7. Weekly menu: Wednesday - Soupie mix 8. Stresses of the day: - Final feeding of kibble was 6am. - 10am: removed kibble from their cage. - 3pm: started introducing to her by way of dabbing on her nose as she went by. I'm confused. Some say to scruff and stuff. Now I'm reading no scruffing involved. So I did scruffing. Where they yawned, I stuck a glob of soupie in their jaw. Did it a few times to where they eventually started licking it off my fingers. - Rearranged cage by adding in a monkey hammock on the second level of the cage and switched their hammock from second level to first level. 9. Notes: Was the very first one to be finger fed. After every dabbing before she took to my finger, she would rub her face on the carpet or her multitude of blankets accessible to her in the room. Would not eat from the bowl. Only on my finger. 1. Ferret's name: Precious 2. Ferret's weight: 1003g 3. Ferret's Daily Medications: n/a 4. Ferret has eaten ".76" amount on average per meal. 5. Stools on various proteins. - no recorded stool as of yet. 6. Activity levels: 1.75 hours of free roaming in the bedroom. 7. Weekly menu: soupie mix 8. Stress Levels: See above. Same as Mimi. 9. Notes: this piggy was the one that fought the most. Eventually took to finger feeding. Second to eat from the bowl but very cautiously. 1. Ferret's name: Logan 2. Ferret's weight: 414g 3. Ferret's Daily Medications: n/a 4. Ferret has eaten ".76" amount on average per meal. 5. Stools on various proteins. No stool sample as of yet. 6. Activity levels: same as Mimi and Precious. 7. Weekly menu: Soupie mix 8. Stress Levels: same as above. 9. Notes: Fought me for any hour during multiple scruff and stuff. Eventually he was the first one to go eat off the bowl. So 2 more ounces of soupie down, mostly eaten by Logan, the 2 month old kit. Mimi still likes to be finger fed but she was not reluctant to go to the bowl. Precious on the other hand pushes my finger away but then gives in. Refilled their food bowl with 2 more ounces, but 1.5 hours combination of food/bean pit/tube play and they put themselves back in the cage. First Precious and then Mimi followed her. Logan passed out by the ladder.

So after finishing the 2 ounces (now a total of 4.3 ounces eaten between the 3 of them), I went to the kitchen to refill 2 more ounces of Soupie in their bowl. I come back to my room and older two put themselves back in the cage and went to nap after being out of their cage for 1.5 hours playing tube/ bean pit/ and more playing between the three. I put the food bowl back in the cage with extra water and then do some clean up. I hear lapping and I see Precious eating the soupie! All in all, a very easy peasy day 1. Day two I'll try to get them to eat from the bowl without finger feeding them.

With the little one I would try offering whole meats and skip the soup if possible.

With the little one I would try offering whole meats and skip the soup if possible. I'll try that. He was reluctant about the soupie but it takes him a while to get going. Still do 10% of his body weight or 20% as a starting point?

Day 1 - PM Feed Eventually when I went to bed, I placed the remaining food in their bowls. These suckers woke me up in the middle of the night trying to get more food. Poppies were loose but had some formation. Almost like a very loose soft serve. Day 2 - AM Feed 1. Ferret's name: Mimi / Precious / Logan I left in their 2 bowls about 4 ounces of soupie mix and let them free roam while I got ready for work. 2. Stools: From overnight, stools were loose like very soft soft serve ice cream while Logan, the 2 month old hob, had seeding in his poop. 3. Activity levels: .75 hours of free roaming the bedroom while I finished getting ready for work. 4. Weekly menu: Thursday AM - Soupie mix 5. Notes: 2 month old hob (Logan) was hesitant about eating it again, but after a few tries he was eating but not gorging like on Wednesday night feeding. Mimi still is being a primadonna by eating it off my finger when she was perfectly fine eating it in her bowl when she was caged up last night. Precious the fatty just let herself back in the cage when she saw me put their 2 bowls of soupie mix in. She ate and then passed out. All while I went to work. Day 2 - PM Feed
1. Ferret names: Mimi, Precious, Logan 2. Ferrets have eaten all 9 ounces portioned out for their night feeding. 5. Stools on chicken thighs, heart and liver. Still loose. Logan's is becoming less seedy, but darker than Mimi and Precious' stools. Logan's stool has more body but still soft 6. Activity levels: About a total of 3 hours outside of the cage for the day due to work. 7. Weekly menu: Soupie mix 8. Stress Levels: - Didn't get a chance to give them their last 3 ounces of soup mix until very late due to work. - Added a bear cuddle pouch to their play room. Ignored it completely. - Added a monkey hammock, completely ignored it. - Removed small bed from lower level to upper level because Logan has been biting and ripping in to it exposing stuffing. 9. Notes: No more need to coax them with eating. They go to the food bowl on their own now
Day 3 - AM Feed
1. Ferret names: Mimi, Precious, Logan 2. Ferrets have eaten about 2/3 of their portion for the morning. 5. Stools on chicken thigh, heart and liver. Same as Day 2 above. 6. Activity levels: Babies got about 1.5 hours outside of their cage for morning feeding. Came back from errands and let them out again for another hour 7. Weekly menu: Soupie mix 8. Stress Levels: - House cleaner came and vacuumed the room while they were caged up. - Changed Logan's bedding to a plastic bin lined with fleece and an old used tshirt since he was ripping the other one. - Changed corner litter into a rectangle one and lined underneath the litter box with doggy training pads and tied down with zip ties. - Removed all bedding in the cage yo get washed while they were outside of the cage free roaming the bedroom.
- Mimi found a new corner in the bedroom to pee on where normally she goes to the bathroom corner.

Day 3 - PM Feed 1. Ferret names: Mimi, Precious, Logan 2. Ferrets have eaten 6oz. Soupie Mix plus .5 oz. Small chunks each of chicken thighs, chicken liver and hearts/gizzards. 3. Stools from all three ferrets: m.facebook.com/groups/158560084258398?view=permalink&id=14800280187782584. Activity levels: Today was a total of over 4 hours free roaming the bedroom. 5. Weekly menu: Soupie mix + small bits of chicken thighs, hearts/gizzards and liver. 6. Stress Levels: - Changed the lay out of their playroom - Switched over from full soupie mix to soupie mix no water anymore but added small bits of chicken thighs, liver and hearts/gizzards 7. Notes: - Logan takes a while to wake up. He doesn't seem lethargic, but he's very "dead to the world" kind of sleeper when picked up/handled. However the moment he smells the food, he perks right back up, his gears get going and is feisty. - Just through observation, they have a little bit more meat on their bones, per se, their coats look a little fuller, but then again it is fall in Las Vegas. The weather has gotten colder in a week's time. - Their cage is right infront of a window, so now I've cracked the blinds open more than usual to let a little bit extra natural light in the room. Day 4 - AM Feed 1. Ferret names: Mimi, Precious, Logan 2. See above from left over AM Feeding. Because of such, their second bowl only contains 3 ounces of soupie+small bits of thighs, gizzards, hearts and liver. Fortified the AM Feed portion with 1/2 teaspoon bone meal. 3. Stools from all three ferrets: m.facebook.com/groups/158560084258398?view=permalink&id=14800280187782584. Activity levels: Let out for an hour before heading to work. 5. Weekly menu: Soupie mix + small bits of 3 ounces chicken thighs, 1.5 ounces hearts/gizzards and 1.5 ounces of liver + 1/2 teaspoon bone meal 6. Stress Levels: - Switched over from full soupie mix to soupie mix no water anymore but added small bits of chicken thighs, liver and hearts/gizzards - Roommates dogs are out free roaming the house so the ferrets can smell them through my bedroom door. Very interested and digging at the space between the door and floor to get out and meet them. - While the dogs are sniffing through my bedroom door floor, now Precious and Mimi are not going near the door. 7. Notes: - Found 2 small bits of chicken thighs in Mimi's food stash under my bed. Read more: holisticferret60.proboards.com/thread/23723/unofficial-transition-mimi-precious-logan#ixzz4xTU9s7Ij

Day 4 - PM Feed 1. Ferret names: Mimi, Precious, Logan 2. Finally finished all the food portioned out for their AM feeding. 9 ounces of soupie mix + 1.5 ounces small bits of liver + 1.5 ounces small bits gizzards/ hearts + 3 ounces of chicken thighs + 1/2 teaspoon bone meal. 3. Stools from all three ferrets: m.facebook.com/groups/158560084258398?view=permalink&id=1480028018778258 . Even with the addition of extra bone meal, there's no changes to the consistency of their stools. 4. Activity levels: Let out for a total of three hours. Will be out longer when I come back from work. 5. Weekly menu: Soupie mix + small bits of 3 ounces chicken thighs, 1.5 ounces hearts/gizzards and 1.5 ounces of liver + 1/2 teaspoon bone meal. Day 5 feedings will contain 3 whole eggs scrambled and mixed and split between the two feedings. 6. Stress Levels: - Added box rides to their daily play today - Let the babies on the bed for exploration of my mountain of pillows 7. Notes - With the small bits added, they're not finishing it as fast as with the 3 days of just soupie mix. - Started adding more water so the mixture is looser. - Found 2 small bits of chicken livers in Mimi's food stash under my bed. - When feeding outside of the cage, thete very shy and Mimi continually stashes the largest of the small bits. - Logan started following Mimi's lead and started stashing larger pieces in with his toy stash - When they are put back in their cage, they do not stash any of the larger pieces of meat (from what I've seen by checking their sleeping area and litter box) Read more: holisticferret60.proboards.com/thread/23723/unofficial-transition-mimi-precious-logan#ixzz4xTU9s7IjRead more: holisticferret60.proboards.com/thread/23723/unofficial-transition-mimi-precious-logan#ixzz4xXI4geIb

Day 5 - AM/PM Feed
1. Ferret names: Mimi, Precious, Logan 2. 9 ounces of soupie mix + 1.5 ounces small bits of liver + 1.5 ounces small bits gizzards/ hearts + 3 ounces of chicken thighs + 1/2 teaspoon bone meal + 3 eggs. 5. Weekly menu: Soupie mix + small bits of 3 ounces chicken thighs, 1.5 ounces hearts/gizzards and 1.5 ounces of liver + 1/2 teaspoon bone meal + 3 whole eggs scrambled and mixed and split between the two feedings. 6. Stress Levels:
- To get them interested in their new tunnels, I run my fingernail across the plastic to create a noise. It got their attention and immediately use the tunnels - Added new tunnels for their play (black flexible plastic tunnels from Home Depot) - Due to work hours, couldn't finish their morning meal portion and have to use it for their dinner well - New Game: to prevent their digging at the carpet, I distract them by placing a box over them, covering them three completely, thus distracting them from carpet digging and forcing them to play with each other / figuring out a way to get the box off by jumping up 7. Notes - Initial egg mixture they did not take to so easily like other members have posted. They were wary about it. - Started adding more water so the mixture is looser. - They were not happy with me today when i let them out late with very little food in their bowl. They started peeing/pooing from their normal spots outside of their cage
