re ellie. i'll find out when she had that implant then & see if u think she needs a new one. her lady parts arent swollen & her fur is as nice as its gonna get on pred. i think it's been 8 months at most, but i'll contact the vet & get the date she had it done.
i'll see how this quail goes down & then with the next 1 i'll chop it up smaller if needs be & marinate it too.

ok so menu time - mon am bone pm meat tues am bone pm bone wed am organ pm bone thurs am heart pm bone fri am meat pm bone sat am heart & organ 50/50 pm bone sun am meat pm bone
bone is duck carcass, chicken neck & chicken wing. meat is chicken, pork, pork tongue, beef chunks, venison organ this time unfortnatly isn't the mince they're used to - it was out of stock. so i'm going to blend liver & kidney together for them. i'm not a happy camper :/
the girls ate ALL of their quail over night. frank didn't touch his. next time i order food (2 weeks) i'll order a load more. i only ordered one this time because i'm poor & i didn't know if i could stomach gutting it.

Okay, excellent for the girls! With Frank, you may just have to slip some of Ellie's grind to get him a different bone in, so he isn't getting quite so much chicken. Otherwise they are all doing well. TBH the ONLY reason we haven't graduated you is the amount of chicken. That really needs to be reduced to about 4-5 meals a week, otherwise they can develop protein sensitivities over time.

o ok. hopefully i can rectify the ammount of chicken meals by adding more whole prey as i move completly to whole. i'm limited on the bones i can get especially as poppy is being VERY rude by having an intolerance to turkey how about rabbit heads?

i'll also remove the chicken meat from their diet. they have enought other meat for variety. so yesterday morning was chicken necks & evening was venison meat. over night everyones (except ellies) poop is loose. i noticed franks first & thought stress poop, or not enough bone. but when i cleaned the girls out i saw that they're poops are bad too. most notibly the white poop again! so i don't know who's i is but given poppys history it's most likley her. white poop - photos.app.goo.gl/jfshBNpmBG4HEw3cAphotos.app.goo.gl/uS7gfZVXMpmFJYgi6Thats some one elses poop on top. They do all poo in the same spot all night & day. It makes things like this difficult. Other poop - photos.app.goo.gl/tU1uQjUqV1MxYtBo8

Is venison a new protein? That could be it. Or could Poppy or some one else have stashed some turkey? My Boris had a REALLY bad reaction to chicken. Removed it from his diet entirely. Couldn't figure out for the life of me why every week he had the absolutely funkiest stool since the only chicken the others got was when he was stuffed to the gills by his favourite fdr. Until I saw him with a piece someone had managed to get OUTSIDE the cage somehow and stashed. Which he found and of course, devoured every week

Lol, they can be sneaky little monsters! But i dont think so. Its been quite a while since i last fed it & it would have started to smell by now, & the hubby has a super sensitive nose. But ill have a look tonight.

They are sneaky! Also, once it gets to the point of being "ferret jerky" it no longer smells

Yes frank does like his jerky!
Frank did brilliantly with his chicken neck yesterday! Id cross hatched it a bit to help encourage him & it seemed 2 work a treat!
Organ didnt go down well last night. Ive had to make my own blend this week because the web was out of stock of the mince i usually get. So i just blended liver & kidney together. Hardly any had been touched overnight, so i added a few drops of salmon oil & gave them 1 last meal of organ before leaving them with bone this morning.

Urgh! It was heart last night & frank hardly touched it! He used to love his heart meals, hed stashed most of it but very little eaten. Idk whats going on with him. Maybe hes not happy about the girls being here? He hasnt eaten right since then. Activity levels & poop are all good.

One never knows why. Out of curiosity, what is his weight and fur as compared to a couple months ago? Main reason is could he have his seasons reversed?

his tail is better than what it was a few months ago - hes had rat tail. it's grown back well except for the tip. i haven't noticed him get fluffier or less fluffy though. in april he was 940g today he weighed 863g.
he did really well with his chicken wing last night, the piece i fed him by hand he crunched it up & ate it all. he didn't eat at all throughout the night though. i wonder if hes depressed? he's always trying to climb the cage to get to the girls, when he gets face to face he dooks & not in a nice way, tenses up & tries to bite them through the bars of the cage. i don't think he likes sharing his space with them, even is they are caged.

He could be depressed. Have you tried rescue remedy with him?

www.bachflower.com/rescue-remedy-information/ It works well. I use the drops from the tincture. Try about 10 drops in the water daily, and/or a drop rubbed into the paw pad, ear flap, or dabbed on the nose end to lick it(gets absorbed fast by mucous membranes). It helps take the "edge" off. And when used directly on them calms them fairly quickly.
