photos.app.goo.gl/MKwnGw2u3CJ1NU4Y9Urgh what is happening! Is it time to vet? Yesterday was organ in the morning, chicken neck evening. Today was lamb heart this morning. Could it be too much fat? The lamb heart sometimes has quite dense fat on it which i feed, should i not be feeding it? Surely all this poop isnt just poppy! Franks poop is fine, but then i gave the girls the fattier bits because franks not been eating well lately & i didnt want 2 put him off.
edit - im sure that poop wasn't there when i got home from work @ 2pm. & i'm also pretty sure it wasn't there at 6pm, but it was there by 7pm, so i'm almost positive it's not just poppy.
Update - its definitely not just poppy, beenie just did this - photos.app.goo.gl/oDMU6RFQ38bm4U4m8Ignore the blood, she did this at the front of the animals freezer, we had a spillage. Ive also seen binx poop, it was quite light but considerably more of a normal colour than this. At least now im satisfied that its diet & not medical. It must be the hard fats im feeding with the heart, I'll trim it off in future. I know not to feed the dog these fatty bits but i thought that because ferts deal with fat differently theyd be do ok with it. Feeling a bit guilty now lol

ok, so my apologies i didn't update the weights last week. i took them, but i just never got around to taking the pics & posting 1. name: ellie 2. weight: 546g up from 532g last week 3. average eaten: shes had a bad few days where i seem to be struggling to get her to eat, but when i do get her eating she eats plenty 4. poops: perfect 5. Activity levels: normal for her, im having to make her get up & totter around in the evenings. When shes up shes fine, she just doesnt want to leave her bed. 6. Weekly menu: shes still on the coarser grounds atm, i'm waiting for my supplier to re-stock. photos.app.goo.gl/KaFKniCjq7gE39YW7photos.app.goo.gl/6WTnbQ6azria5oVe9*** 1. name: frank 2. weight: 860g down from 863g last week 3. average eaten: im really struggling to get him to eat atm. he knows tha the kitchen is where the food is kept & begs like a dog when were in there (it is the CUTEST thing!) & if i give him a little food in the kitchen he'll eat it. but unless i hand feed him a single piece in the room he wont touch it, he wont take from his bowl either. i'm ordering more test strips for the bg meter today, i'll test him when i get them because i'm afraid of insu. 4. poops: poops are good. 5. Activity levels: he's still very active. up untill last night he wouldn't play though. i did my best thursday night but he was having none of it. last night however - the 1st night with this rescue remedy in his water - he played quite a bit! so, we'll see how it goes. 6. Weekly menu: full frankenprey - i'll update the menu at the end. photos.app.goo.gl/y69b3euKyFtL3Dqr6photos.app.goo.gl/bydqj351xyBeN3Sa7*** 1. name: poppy 2. weight: 1.05kg up from 1.04kg last week 3. average eaten: as always, eating like the piglet she is lol 4. poops: as stated in my past few posts - her poop went really white again. it's been 2 days? & they've returned to normal. as i said before i wonder if it's because i feed that really hard fat thats attached to the lamb hearts & thats y all 3 ladies had white poops? i wont be feeding it again. 5. Activity levels: very active, and getting better at play. i don't think i mentioned it before but shes seemed like she doesn't know how to play with the girls, shed just stand and watch them wrestle & if they came near her she'd hiss & run away. she's now much more confident & has started ambushing the other girls & wrestling with them! i'm so happy for my popsy-mopsy lol 6. Weekly menu: frankenprey. photos.app.goo.gl/qbfowRiLQ9VtQUSPAphotos.app.goo.gl/4wJzbprYAGy2peih8*** name: Sasha aka beenie aka ruby. i've had the hardest time naming this girl! but i've settled on Sasha or Sashy Stashy (named after Ashy Slashy from ash vs evil dead) because she stashes EVERYTHING! she's my 1st ferret who actually stashes my stuff lol 2. weight: 645g down from 655g 3. average eaten: plenty 4. poops: back to normal 5. Activity levels: very active 6. Weekly menu: full frankenprey. photos.app.goo.gl/ARxt9FEnDMY493Af6photos.app.goo.gl/7McChe3UU3iJj5Ur5*** name: binx 2. weight: 695g no change from last week 3. average eaten: plenty. 4. poops: good 5. Activity levels: very active. 6. Weekly menu: full frankenprey. photos.app.goo.gl/wGFovUhwYvRH6x4z9it seems i forgot about binx's top down pic. i'll try 2 remeber 2 get 1 next time i see her *** ok so on the menu this week - for bone we have rabbit heads (skinned), chicken wings & duck neck. meat we have - venison, beef, pork tongue & meat heart - duck & lamb offal - i've got the mince back which is - 50% Lamb liver, 20% Ox spleen, 20% Pig testicles, 10% Ox kidney.

That looks like someone ate all fat! Sorry I wasn't on yesterday, weird hours at work. And glad to see you are getting some variety in there Using the new proteins would you write me up a menu? We'll tweak it if need be and get Heather to check it over and then get you FINALLY graduated!

I also have a question about this rescue remedy- this is franks second day on it & he seems so much better! But what concerns me is that its alcohol based, do i basically have a tipsy frank now? How long should i use it for? & with ellie being do old with insu & adrenal, is it going to cause her any problems?

No The amount in there is negligible. It pretty much evapourates as soon as it is exposed to the air. I'm glad it seems to be working for him! I would use it for a couple weeks and give it a break to see how he does. And the best part about it is it doesn't seem to have any counter indications, even with meds for adrenal/insu etc.

1. name: frank 2. weight: 870g up from 860g last week 3. average eaten: it's now been a week & 2 days since he started with the rescue remedy & he's steadily improving! up until last night i've been struggling to get him to eat bone, but this morning theres a few bone fragments on the floor where he usually eats, so not only did he eat by himself but he also ate bone! also this morning, when the girls were in the cat carrier waiting to go upstairs frank gave them a quick sniff & walked straight past them! usually he gets quite nast towards them through the bars, dooking & wagging his tail & trying to nip their noses, so thats a massive improvement!! 4. poops: poops are good. 5. Activity levels: he had a few playful nights when he first started the RM but thats stopped. he's more active now though, before he just wanted to get back into bed. 6. Weekly menu: frankenprey photos.app.goo.gl/Ho3CHkGfvFkzDrx57photos.app.goo.gl/VhZSTBbF4C6RZ6SJA*** 1. name: ellie 2. weight: 550g up from 546g last week 3. average eaten: shes had a bad few days where i seem to be struggling to get her to eat, but when i do get her eating she eats plenty 4. poops: perfect 5. Activity levels: a little higher over the last few days, last night she actually came down the stairs for a totter about! she did go to bed quickly after that though. 6. Weekly menu: coarse ground commercial raw photos.app.goo.gl/sentAc6HZnXaPyZ3Aphotos.app.goo.gl/9VhUr22h6BCxwUSx6*** 1. name: poppy 2. weight: 1.06kg up from 1.05kg last week 3. average eaten: as always, eating like the piglet she is lol 4. poops: back to normal 5. Heart is rabbit, & poultry. I can also get lamb & ox heart.
Organ is the mixed protien organ mince i get. The organs & protiens change but its always 50% liver & 50% other secreting organ, usually kidney & spleen & sometimes testical. I can also get rabbit, pork & ox kidney, same for liver

Thanks.
I forgot to get more chicken wings today so the only non frozen food i had was duck feet & rabbit mince. So thats what theyve had for supper! I know that feet are an awesome source for glucosamine, how much can i feed? I know i cant feed alot of it.
Also im stopping feeding rabbit heads! Firstly brain is so totally different to what i expected. Secondly it took me 40mins today to chop up the head to mush because i couldnt stop heaving! I especially hate it when popped eye fluid mixes with the brain! & after all that they didnt eat it! AGAIN! the trauma just isnt worth it. I know i can quarter it frozen & that'll make life infinitely less gross, but today i had to crush it to encourage eating. It also casts doubt on my ability to feed whole prey.
It also doesnt help that i fed a head to max (the dog) last night just for him to vomit up a partially digested crushed skull! He was quite poorly bless him (not because of the head)
I think i need to come to terms with my wussy side lol

We can only do what we can do If you can't feed the skull, then don't. As for the feet, as long as combined with muscle meat I'd give once a week if you like.
