I got ridiculously excited for a minute bc I thought you said Post Falls ID. I was like you are RIGHT next to me. There's a decent Asian market in Spokane. Not as good as the selection in AK but pretty good. That's like an 8 hour drive for you though, not the 30min drive it would be from POST Falls. I'll see if I can find anything, but it sounds like the place you called may be your best shot. Is Midget Market a Hispanic market? It came up as an Asian market. 340 G St, Idaho Falls, ID 83402 The board exam was awful as expected. It's a 9 hour exam so you walk out feeling utterly exhausted and you just have no clue how you did. The Q's are HARD and such a vast expanse of info is covered that it's just impossible to ever feel adequately prepared. Takes 2-3 weeks to get results so we'll see what happens. This exam doesn't affect our ability to get into residency to Nearly the same extent that the board exam we took last year does, so I just need to pass... *crosses fingers* lol

:heehee: Yeah, naw, Idaho Falls. Much smaller than Post Falls. A traffic jam here is like ten cars. We are kinda behind culture wise. I actually used to road trip up to the Post Falls/Coeur D'alene area a lot. Too bad I didn't have ferrets then! I would have stopped by and said hello! Yeah, Midget Market is Hispanic. When you google Asian Market all three Hispanic markets pop up.... and they aren't very helpful. What part of the Medical field are you going into? My best friend is trying to become a surgeon. So much studying and all that lack of sleep. I don't know how she did it and came out alive. I bet you did amazing though! My bestie always stressed hardcore about it and ended up coming out in the top scores!

Tracking the before/after weights like that will definitely help you pin down how much to feed. Any news from the butcher? I think Klarissa might be having trouble posting still. I've been running around "at the mercy of the mothers" lol We're finishing our final last minute scramble for the wedding this Fri. So what's your goal next protein to add and when can you get it? I'm going into family Med. I want to focus primarily on women and children though and I plan to do an OB Fellowship after residency. It's

It's I haven't heard anything yet, so I'm going to call those three places back tomorrow (Albertson's, Great Western, and Thieman's meats) Wait wait, are you getting married? Turkey necks! Albertson's can for sure get them for me and already ordered me a box, I'm just waiting for them to get it in. That's super neat! You for sure have got this! Do you think it would be easier to message her?

I'm here! I'm here! Sorry Yay turkey necks! (You know you feed raw when you cheer for odd animal anatomy ). Don't be surprised if you have to beat the crap out of the necks the first few times. Ferrets can be finicky when eating requires more effort on their part It's ridiculous how expensive petstore mice are 😣 PetSmart was 6 hoppers for $15... my reptile guy I got 24 large adult mice for $45 after tax - much better. You're lucky you will be able to breed them! I'm looking at your variety - for muscle meat you have pork & beef, and for bone in you have CGH (turkey necks & mice on the way). Variety is important for 2 reasons: 1) Different proteins have different nutritional profiles. Each protein will add nutrients, but it may also lack in others. 2) To prevent food allergies. Food allergies are a pain in the butt, and the most common is chicken (though beef is not uncommon). Its easier & cheaper to provide variety, then trying to accommodate allergies. And with Croc & Gator so young, shove whatever new proteins you can into them! Now they are open minded, and willing to try new things. But between 6 months & a year, they may become harder to introduce to new proteins. Muscle meats are the easiest way to add variety, since there are no restrictions like bones (namely size & hardness). Lamb & fish are great ones - both are available at most grocery stores. If a wide variety of bone in is difficult to get, then it's really important to make sure the muscle varies. I will post more this afternoon. I haven't had my coffee - what's my name? What year is it?! 😂

What year is it?! 😂 Bahahahaha! Good thing I have one of those meat mallet deals to beat it up with! And I totally know what you mean about getting excited about the extra pieces! I honestly think it's silly that mice are so expensive when I could go fish them out of my dad's field (I haven't because I'm not sure what's on them, but it was a thought (I also halfway wanted to teach them to hunt mice and realized ferret hunting is illegal here. D: way to take away my fun!)) When they get food allergies, what are the signs? I assume they will be lethargic, but is there anything else so I can watch for it? Another thing, they almost hate egg, is there a reason behind that? I know some people give them egg, I had to mix it in with their liver meal or CGH juice to get them to eat some, what is the purpose of egg? Another thing, I've been saving all of our eggshells, can I use those? Fish is something I haven't tried because it was like everywhere I looked said 'don't do it!' Why is that? I second this green statement. These past two weeks have been a world of fun and have had me staying up until midnight almost every night. It's nothing bad, just makes for an exhausted Kelsey. Honestly I didn't post much yesterday because I had been up till 2am the night before trying to force my phone to install Pokémon Go.... needless to say it didn't happen, and my amazing husband left his phone with me yesterday so I could play. So I when I wasn't loving the cute poopers I was out walking around trying to catch Pokémon. katt they are fantastic! They have been epic dooking for a couple of days! (I live for dooks!) Yesterday they were speed bumping pretty good, but I wonder if it was because we had major thunder/rain storms all day when we've had a lot of sunshine and hot. They played like they normally do, just went to bed sooner and speed bumped pretty hard before.

The oopla about fish is if you overfeed it, you can end up with some super stinky ferrets. One fish meal a week though is perfect!
Eggs contain protein, OMEGA-s, vitamin D, vitamin B12, biotin... lots of good stuff. They also help break up "hair balls" (ferrets don't get hair balls, they get bezoars. Ferrets can't cough up hair & can result in blockages). During shedding season they can get 2 a week (I've read some places even three - but keep an eye on poops). One egg per week during non-shedding season. It's important they get the whole egg.
Was it the whole egg (yolk + whites)? It could be the texture/consistency - try whipping it up lots. It could also be the temp - mine don't like cold egg. I warm a bowl or plate in the oven, then mix egg with warm water in the bowl. Adding it to their food, or left over bloody juices is okay too!
Those are very cute little poopers! They can't hunt mice, but they can catch Pokemon! (I'm addicted to Pokemon Go. I've been trying to take pics of my pets with the Pokémon 😂)
But on a more serious note, wild mice are a no-no. Rodents run too high a risk of having eaten poison that could transfer to the ferret. I considered it since my parents have a farm. I could catch hundreds a week... but mice can travel a surprisingly long distance. I just can't guarantee in that radius isn't poison :/

I feel you ladies, I'm running around with the mothers (who are an indomitable force) NON STOP and I am exhausted. Kelsey yep, getting married. About time too. The wedding is Friday and it's a mad scramble. I have been completely at the mercy of the mothers. I can't get enough coffee... Just to add RE Wild mice - wild rodents, wild carnivores, and wild pork/boar can all carry trichinella, which can be resistant to freezing. So I would not recommend feeding any of those. Otherwise wild game meat is a great source of variety and organs. Those videos are Sooooo cute!! I miss having kits, though Kenai still thinks he's a kit. Hehe

The fish thing makes sense. The egg was the yolk and crushed shell in with other meals. :heehee: I sure do enjoy them! (BAHAHAHAHA! I actually thought about doing that the other night with pokemon go, I don't think my boys would stay long enough for the picture, which is why I take videos! Speaking of pokemon go, there are pikachus around my apartment and I can't find them!) That's part of what I thought when I actually sat down and considered it. I know my dad puts decon out for them.

Hehe This is why I had a super small wedding at my family's friend's restaurant. I wouldn't change it for the world! We got homemade beignets instead of wedding cake! I'm so excited for you! I will keep all of those animals in mind to stay away from! :heehee: they are the bounciest children ever I like to grab them and love them while they run by! I giggled a bit because I remembered that Koda from brother bear is the baby bear and the more energetic and Kenai was the older more serious one. That is just so cute!

Well Koda used to be a wild raging spitfire. He was trial by fire - to put it lightly. But he's old and has heart disease so he spends most of his time sleeping these days. As for the wedding oh trust me I TRIED to have a small wedding. I wanted small, non-traditional, casual, and SIMPLE. It has turned into none of those.
