The 10 ferreties have 2 small whole rabbits for dinner. So far Salt is guarding one and not letting the others near. The other one is missing head & tail and one leg has been chewed

Two whole rabbits, Wow! I can just picture Salt standing guard. I wonder who will be the first brave one to pounce. (dance)

One of the rabbits has been almost completely eaten just a lil bit of meat around the spine and legs left. The other rabbit has had its head and legs eaten they're snacking today on the rest of it. All ten ferrets are loving their rabbit. I also finally found intestines that the raw 5 boys won't eat - rabbit ones. I found them stashed in a corner of one of the litter trays next to the poop lol. At least they were tidy with the innards

Well the two rabbits are going down well with all ten ferrets. So much so, the newbies are now on a full raw diet - as of today no more kibble, not that they'd bothered with it really the last two days The rabbits should be done by tomorrow morning and then to try the Newbies with Duck carcass the carcass is a big duck and only the legs & breasts have been removed so will be nice to see how they get on with Duck I'm monitoring the ferrets weights closely the next few weeks if I get concerned I'll have kibble on hand in case but I think they will be fine. So far no one has refused any raw meats/bone/organs they've been given

Here are recent weights of the new ferrets Bandit - 1.3 to 1.18 kg not to worried about this change because his coat is lovely and his muscle tone is better than what I was when he came Willow 1.17 to 1.12kg - again not too worried he's bright active and healthy Dotty remains 0.72 kg no change - she's quite an adaptable ferret for 3 years of age and loves her raw food Salt 0.68 to 0.61 no too worried, she's the nervy type and very active in defending her turf from the raw boys but she eats well Pepper. 0.64 to 0.68 kg - putting on nicely. From being a nervous screamer the first day she met the raw boys she's settled well with them Some gains some little losses but between moving to a new house, switching to raw in a month, and meeting new ferrets and a new routine I feel they are doing well. They have better muscle tone, softer fur, cleaner teeth and have settled well into a new routine. Also they have been more active and getting out for walks so over all I'm happy with how they are going.
