How are they doing with this menu? Poops any better without the CGH? Shelbys poops are much better. She is in love with frog legs. She sniffed them for two seconds grabbed one and munched a whole leg haha. Nala is not impressed with frog legs she wont even touch them! I thought it was going to be the other way around.

Haha... They are funny about their likes and dislikes. Fortunately all of mine LOVE frog. It's the one thing they consistently fight over. Others who have tried them said their kids hate them. You just never know!

Do they always eat different foods or is it just the frog legs?

Just the frog legs. Also I was told shelby is supposed to change colors as she gets older but I gave her a bath today because she had poop on her feet and now her under coat is orange color. Is that normal? She still has her black coat on the top and her feet are still white and the places that are super white are white. But her under coat when dry is a very very washed out light brownish orange and when its wet its like neon orange.

The orange color is from the oils in her skin. Bathing strips the oil and can make the oil glands go into overdrive to replace them. That is why bathing is not recommended unless absolutely necessary. Seasonal changes can also cause excessive oil production. If frog legs is the only difference, just feed that meal separately. Go ahead and post a final menu here and I'll work on getting your 'exam' ready.

I'd prefer to see not so many froggie meals, if that's possible. Frog legs are very lean and they need a lot of fatty meats. Have you tried them with turkey wings or rabbit?

I didnt get any rabbit but my husband got paid today so I will get some on sunday. I cant find turkey wings. I can try like a king supers or a city market or something to find some.

I have a hard time finding turkey wings. One store carries them occasionally so when I find them, I buy a bunch. I think if you can rotate one of the frog meals for something else, your menu will be good. What about just changing a frog meal to another meal of duck? That would work also.

How many frog meals do I need to change? Also I will need to buy another duck because the bone in meat isnt as much as the muscle on the duck. So rabbit will be a good bone in meal. Chicken doesnt seem to bother nala with is good I guess. I have some wing tips she can eat while shleby eats a frog meal.

If you can do 2 frog meal and 2 duck meals, you should be good. When you cut up your duck, add some of the muscle meat to other bone heavy portions, like the wings and ribs and backs and the neck. When you're feeding bone, you don't want JUST bone. You want primarily meat with some edible bone.

Okay I can do that. I also want to have a rabbit meal in there as well. So I can alternate too.

So this is a weird question. Anyways my organ meals and heart meals are all in the morning. I give about 3.5 ounces to about 4 ounces for each of those meals on the designated days. Anyways I noticed that during the day they dont eat as much. They finish the organs of course but afternoonish like around 5 I give them their bone in food and well they eat way more than that together they eat a whole quail or what ever is on the menu that night around 5 ounces or so. My question is does that imbalance their diet because they eat more at night then during the day? I feel like the heat contributes to the lack of eating the organs as well as its not their favorite. Like I said they finish the 3.5 to 4 ounces so does it matter if the bone in meals out weigh the organ meal or the muscle meat meal by a couple ounces?
