I was finally able to get a better picture of his teeth... It really is quite bad. The other side is worse but he won't sit still anymore for another picture.

Just like with the beef, mix a little into each meal for a while until he learns to like the taste. He IS still eating the beef, isn't he? Those teeth don't look very good. The bone should help clean them, but if they are hurting, he won't want to eat the bone. You need to brush them. You can use a little oil and powdered eggshell to clean them a few times a week, or buy a pet-safe toothpaste. I think OxyGel is one that some ferrents use. How do Layla's teeth look?

Yes, he still eats beef. I do have toothpaste. Layla's are very white. She's also always lived with people who have fed her good food and chew treats (which she doesn't get anymore, they were pre-raw diet), whereas Marty was quite neglected. I'll brush his teeth tonight, I was just worried about how often its ok to brush his teeth, I just did a week and a half or so ago, but now that I know I'll be sure to keep up with it.

It can be done as often as you want. How do Marty's gums look?

They're pink, a couple shades lighter than Layla's, and they look smooth and unaggravated. Should I get a picture of Layla's gums/teeth?

No, that's OK. I was just concerned that his gums might be inflamed.

Alright. I can't find the toothpaste on the shelf 'cause its too dark, so I'm going to find it in the morning. For their dinner my mom gave me a tiny food processor that my mom says she used to grind my baby food up in, so I put an ounce of ground up salmon in an ounce and a half of chicken with bone, and made sure all of the chicken is coated in the fish, Marty has eaten a bit of chicken so I know he's eating the salmon.

That sounds good. Hopefully, after several meals of tasting the salmon with his other meats, he'll be willing to eat it on its own. Have you tried the bait fish? Does he like those?

I haven't gone to the store since I got the salmon, so nope. This morning at 6 in the morning, there was about half an ounce of food left. Marty was banging around and when I offered him one of the pieces of food, he stashed it. So I went back to bed, and he started banging around again! It ended up not being eaten until breakfast when I offered it to Layla one last time before tossing it. I don't have the foggiest idea of why he was acting like that.

Lol, he wanted attention.

Probably. Its rare for him to copy Layla's way of getting attention though, he usually just stands up against the door and sniffs, then he gets pulled out if I'm around/awake for a few hours.

I need to find another solution to get him to eat the fish. He's still flat out not eating it unless its blended with the food, not just blended and mushed into the food. What I have prepared for tomorrow's mix is really soupy, so maybe that'll help, but I doubt it when he can just go for the pork chunks. He's still eating enough, but if he's hungry and he and Layla have already eaten all of the other meat that's mixed in with the fish, he decides to just not eat. He's about as bad as I was with peas as a kid, and I still won't eat them.

If he is that set against the salmon, just feed the rest of it to Layla and let him eat what he likes. You can try the bait fish, but chances are that he won't like that either. Stubborn fuzzie! How did the tooth brushing go? About the banging in the middle of the night.. ferrets are very much like toddlers. They quickly learn what they have to do to get what they want. If he is banging and you give him attention, you are reinforcing that behavior. He'll learn "oh all I have to do to get attention is bang these dishes together." If you can ignore him, he'll soon learn that banging doesn't get him anything and he should stop. He needs to learn some manners. You NEED your sleep and don't need him waking you up at all hours of the night. If he wakes you up, check to make sure that he's not hurt then go back to bed. DON'T talk to him, DON'T pet him! Just make sure he's OK. If the food dish is empty, make sure to give them more the next night so he has no excuse to wake you up.

I'll try the bait fish since they're cheap and small. Plus, I think Layla would enjoy sinking her teeth into something that hasn't already been dismantled. What about needing a third bone-in meat? Will Marty be ok with what he's been willing to eat? The tooth brushing went fine, it'll take a few more times to have any real effect on his teeth, but he didn't fuss too much. He hasn't banged around since the second time, but I've noticed he's really itchy today. Mostly his ears and surgery sites (the last of the scabs look like they're about to fall off).

He still needs something else. Do you have any hunter friends that could get you some rabbits? What about quail or turkey? I can't remember what you said about those.
His surgery sites will be itchy because of the scabs. Are his ears dirty?
