Labour day in Victoria is on the second Monday in march ^^ I think other states have it on the first Monday in March. I was so happy! There was no other ferrets either. We need more ferrets winning contests. ^^ I might enter him in more. I missed out on one for a Calender. Next year I'll get enter it. Winners get a photo shoot for the pet to be in a calendar for lort Smith animal hospital. Wow hurritt is so cute! Oh I may not have told you. We decided on not changing beavis' name. I did research as well and apparently it means handsome face in French."The name Beavis is a French baby name. In French the meaning of the name Beavis is: Handsome face. Also 'from Beauvais'" Wow she's so lucky to have won! I love winning. Not for the prize but for the he'll of winning out of so many other entries. Oh wow! I played sounds for my cockstiels and it starts a screaming or who can sing louder contest. I might try it with the ferrets. Reactions are fun! Wysntan sounds like such a cuddly fuzzy bum. I would have chatted all day but yeah, it seems to only happen when we're in a hurry hahaha. Sever mnemonic LOL The red roo's aren't really red, but the colour of their coats are a reddish brown. They are the largest ones. I also learnt that they have a similar stomach to a cow and sometimes eat like cows too. Cow kangaroos. We use that term roadkill here also as far as I am aware. We have so much slang, I don't even know half of them. My friend had the best grandma.she past away when we were young. I think when we were around 12 . She had a stable lot as well though no horses. Me and my friend would pretend to own horses and explore in there. I remember the star door being as tall as us. we camped out there a lot as well. It was fun. We had to be careful though because brown snakes we're common. I don't think you have tHe same species of possum as us. We have two, Brushtail Possum and the ringtail. the brushtail is usually shy but can be territorial and aggressive. They're nocternal as well so feed from dusk to dawn. brushtails are lone creatures and have company in breeding season. Ringtails stay in groups. I encountered the brushtail possum unfortunately. It was far to large to be a ringtail. I've never heard of a ringtail attack. Its always brushtails because they're aggressive. Our possums are also marsupials. Brushtail: jennifermarohasy.com/2007/05/a-brisbane-brushtail-possum/Ringtail: alex-cool.com/ring-tailed-possum-images/Oh I heard you can own sugar gliders as pets in the u.s? Its illegal here. Apparently they're the ones from new guinea but it's still illegal for us to have a native . Ooh! You're sisters pig has tusks? I've only ever imagined boars and wild pigs with tusks. They ate around 10 ounces between them yesterday. I think the boys we're quite hungry. Do they usually get bigger appetites during shedding season? I kept topping up their plates every time they finished it. If I give them too much they stash it, so I just add it when they're asleep and they eat when they get up the good thing with raw is I don't have to worry about over feeding or then getting fat since they already have fast metabolisms. (Of course apart from organ like liver.) I had to clean up after the boys today. They managed to get packing peanuts everywhere. Sigh. I leave draws open too! Well only the bottom one and ones with nothing eatable or chockable, just the spare draws that has the blankets in it. ^^ my roommate had a huge walk in wardrobe that all three love. Oh! Poor wynstan.he must have been frightened. He lucky he didn't hurt his teeth; A; I think I get paranoid with the ferret teeth, especially toys that can play tug o war or something. I tell my roommate not to play tug o war using a toy in case one of them rips a tooth out. Maybe I'm paranoid for no reason, but it would put somufb strain on their little jaws. ;A; Im also going for now. Its 8am I have washing and cleaning up to do today. Bye bye!

You have the English spelling for Labour. That looks so much more Distinguished. So, different places have different dates for the holiday. Do you also do a daylight savings time?
We decided on not changing beavis' name. I did research as well and apparently it means handsome face in French."The name Beavis is a French baby name. In French the meaning of the name Beavis is: Handsome face. Also 'from Beauvais'"
That is perfect for him. He is really handsome. I like the French spelling also.
Oh wow! I played sounds for my cockstiels and it starts a screaming or who can sing louder contest. I might try it with the ferrets. Reactions are fun!
Cockatiels are awesome. Does yours speak or make any noises? I saw one on FB the other day singing the theme to the Addams Family ( a TV series about a strange family).
The red roo's aren't really red, but the colour of their coats are a reddish brown. They are the largest ones. I also learnt that they have a similar stomach to a cow and sometimes eat like cows too. Cow kangaroos. We use that term roadkill here also as far as I am aware. We have so much slang, I don't even know half of them.
Hmmm...if they have a cow like stomach would that be like tripe? Now I have to look that one up.
Probably not. Ours are shy and so ugly they are cute. Neither of your pictures showed up. I'll google them.
Oh I heard you can own sugar gliders as pets in the u.s? Its illegal here. Apparently they're the ones from new guinea but it's still illegal for us to have a native . Ooh! You're sisters pig has tusks? I've only ever imagined boars and wild pigs with tusks.
You can own sugar gliders here. I cringe though when I hear someone has one. They really need to have enough room to glide and most people don't seem to get that.
My sister's pig Wilson has to have his tusks shaved down every so often. He really doesn't like my daughter for some reason and always charges her. Taylor is not easily frightened so he doesn't pick up on that. I wonder what it is?
They ate around 10 ounces between them yesterday. I think the boys we're quite hungry. Do they usually get bigger appetites during shedding season? I kept topping up their plates every time they finished it. If I give them too much they stash it, so I just add it when they're asleep and they eat when they get up the good thing with raw is I don't have to worry about over feeding or then getting fat since they already have fast metabolisms. (Of course apart from organ like liver.)
You're leaving your winter right? They should began to eat less. It might be due to a change in their coats or a growth spurt. Over here, ours will get their seasons reversed sometimes. That happens to Mill Ferrets. I don't know if yours would. I'll have to ask Therse about that.
I had to clean up after the boys today. They managed to get packing peanuts everywhere. Sigh. I leave draws open too! Well only the bottom one and ones with nothing eatable or chockable, just the spare draws that has the blankets in it. ^^ my roommate had a huge walk in wardrobe that all three love.
Packing peanuts are the most fun. Until we have to pick them up. I had a box come in once and Roamy got into it and had the peanuts all stuck to him from static electricity. I couldn't find my camera but it would have been such a cute picture.
After all my cleaning and closing drawers, something in our room smells funny. I think the fuzzies have stashed something to protest closed drawers. I keep looking and there are only so many places to look. It just smells like something poopy.
Oh! Poor wynstan.he must have been frightened. He lucky he didn't hurt his teeth; A; I think I get paranoid with the ferret teeth, especially toys that can play tug o war or something. I tell my roommate not to play tug o war using a toy in case one of them rips a tooth out. Maybe I'm paranoid for no reason, but it would put somufb strain on their little jaws. ;A;
My Wynstan is just the goofiest ferret ever. I love him so much. He's reminds me of a collie. He's a big goofy puppy of a ferret. He adores Mika who tolerates him but they look exactly alike only one big and one tiny. She does love to play with him. I thought they would bond like Roamy and Juliet but she didn't fall for him. I would like to get him someone special. He's the kind of boy who needs to be in love.
I can understand about playing too rough. They are such fragile little guys. Don't over worry though, remember wild ferrets can take down a bigger prey. Ours are pampered and spoiled though.
I'm off to bed to read. It's almost nine thirty at night here. Happy Sunday to you and Hugs to Haru and Yuki. :wave3:

You have the English spelling for Labour. That looks so much more Distinguished.So, different places have different dates for the holiday. Do you also do a daylight savings time?Spelling is a funny topic. We have our own english, Australian English. But its more related to British English, since we have similar spellings to British English rather than American English. Like Labour, You'd call it labor. Or Neighbour, Neighbor. Colour, Color. We do spell some things like American English as well. www.onlinegrammar.com.au/us-and-australian-spelling/We do Daylight Saving in some states. QLD, NT, WA doesn't do it, I think. So it would probably just be South Aus, Vic and NSW. We start it in October by putting our clocks forward one hour on the first Sunday at 2AM. Then on the first Sunday in April we put them back one hour at 3AM. (which is suppose to be 2AM not in DLS) Cockatiels are awesome. Does yours speak or make any noises? I saw one on FB the other day singing the theme to the Addams Family ( a TV series about a strange family).
I posted photos of them on here. holisticferret60.proboards.com/thread/18495/machans-cockatiels-lots-picsNaoki is our best singer. He chose his name also He sings really prettily. He's started singing a new tune lately.I've been teaching him some new songs slowly but he's like "pfft, I'll sing what I want" Rosie, our female, sings sometimes. She used to sing quite alot but hasn't been singing much lately. Apollo is our morning screamer. He's pretty much an alarm clock and starts up early in the morning around 6AM if the cage is left uncovered or if he hears the cockatoos flying over the house. Sometimes the singing can be quite annoying, especially when I need to study. I find myself telling them to be quite or the ferrets will get a snack. (As a joke, I wouldn't do that i love them <3) and they stay quite for a while. Rosie is the most curious among the four we have. She watches the ferrets play from her cage and she gets excited. She's kind of adorable. I wonder what she thinks of the ferrets. Hmmm...if they have a cow like stomach would that be like tripe? Now I have to look that one up.Apparently, Tripe can be produced from any animal with a stomach. So I think its possible. However, I've barely even seen tripe so it might be really rare. Its probably just easier to find Beef Tripe. "Like cows, kangaroos each have two stomach chambers: the sacciform and the tubiform. The sacklike front chamber contains an abundance of bacteria, fungi and protozoa that begin the fermentation process necessary for kangaroo digestion. Food may remain in this part of the stomach for many hours until fermentation begins. Much like a cow chewing cud, the kangaroo may spit up bits of undigested food to be chewed and then swallowed again. As food ferments, it passes into the kangaroo's second stomach chamber, where acids and enzymes finish digestion." Read more : www.ehow.com/info_8638441_digestive-system-kangaroo.html" Probably not. Ours are shy and so ugly they are cute. Neither of your pictures showed up. I'll google them.Brushtail: Ringtail: You can own sugar gliders here. I cringe though when I hear someone has one. They really need to have enough room to glide and most people don't seem to get that.
I know. I hear most of the time they're kept in tiny cages because people assume because they're small they can live in small places. Its not just that, thats an issue, but its the overall diet. There was a major uproar a while ago. I think someone posted a photo of a glider holding a chip. I also once saw a sugar glider photo eating a hot dog. Some people can be so irresponsible. Owning any pet takes responsibility. Just like our ferrets that are obligate carnivores, they should be fed what they're suppose to eat. Rather than disgusting human junk food. I guess its kind of like how some people feed fruit, veg and milk to ferrets ignorantly. Its so sad... My sister's pig Wilson has to have his tusks shaved down every so often. He really doesn't like my daughter for some reason and always charges her. Taylor is not easily frightened so he doesn't pick up on that. I wonder what it is?Tusks are part of the teeth aren't they? They must kind of grow like rats teeth. I had to get my rats teeth shaved down a few times. It kind of sounds like he's challenging her! Maybe he thinks his an alpha pig or pig of the house. You're leaving your winter right? They should began to eat less. It might be due to a change in their coats or a growth spurt. Over here, ours will get their seasons reversed sometimes. That happens to Mill Ferrets. I don't know if yours would. I'll have to ask Therse about that.
Yep! We're now in spring. It possibly might be from their change in coats. They've been shedding for about a week now. I've read that they shed in Spring and Autumn? Spring is from September to November and Autumn is from March to May. Haru & Yuki were also born in October & December. Packing peanuts are the most fun. Until we have to pick them up. I had a box come in once and Roamy got into it and had the peanuts all stuck to him from static electricity. I couldn't find my camera but it would have been such a cute picture.
I sit on the floor and scoop them back into the peanut pitt and along comes a ferret to mess everything up Aahahahahha that would have been adorable!! After all my cleaning and closing drawers, something in our room smells funny. I think the fuzzies have stashed something to protest closed drawers. I keep looking and there are only so many places to look. It just smells like something poopy.
They left a special surprise for their human!! Such thoughtful fuzzies!
Awhhh!! Ferrets in love sound adorable!! Haru and Yuki are pretty close. Yuki adores Haru, its so adorable. Haru kind of adores him, though most of the time she likes to ignore his existence ahhahaha I feel they're bonded. Maybe its because I brought them both home. ;u; I can understand about playing too rough. They are such fragile little guys. Don't over worry though, remember wild ferrets can take down a bigger prey. Ours are pampered and spoiled though.Kind of like this stoat and his large dinner? I wonder how long that would last him. So much endurance. Its strangely inspirational in a sad kind of way. I'm off to bed to read. It's almost nine thirty at night here. Happy Sunday to you and Hugs to Haru and Yuki.Oh wow! Its now 2.21pm. I have some cleaning to do and then rest for the rest of the day. Rest = Ferret time. Bye bye!! (and Beavis now~~~!) "What about me~?"

OOps...that just posted for some reason. I was going to say Daylight savings time is rather irritating. Pick a time and stick with it please. Naoki is our best singer. He chose his name also He sings really prettily. She's kind of adorable. I wonder what she thinks of the ferrets.
Naoki says that she will sing what she wants. I love it. What a little Diva. I wonder if Rosie will learn to make ferret noises? She really seems so curious about them. So, you have Cockatoos flying over your house. That must be beautiful to watch. We had green parrots in Florida. Someone let out a few, many years back and they live on an island near the beach. They are noisy little guys and eat all the red off the Bottlebrush trees. I had one in my yard and so our house was a daily stop. I miss them. The pictures of the possums are adorable. They are really cute. I had heard of ring tailed Lemurs but not ring tailed possums. You all have the cutest animals by far. Awhhh!! Ferrets in love sound adorable!! Haru and Yuki are pretty close. Yuki adores Haru, its so adorable. Haru kind of adores him, though most of the time she likes to ignore his existence ahhahaha I feel they're bonded. Maybe its because I brought them both home. ;u;
Roamy and Juliet are truly in love. It is amazing to watch. Yuki and Haru sound bonded. Maybe it's like human couples, some are more openly affectionate and appear to be madly in love. Others have a quieter love that runs deep. Speaking of which, do you have a special someone? The stoat video is awesome. What ferocious little things they are. Have you seen one of my favorite videos of a ferocious little guy? This is Ozzie the lesser weasel. I am madly in love with this little one. Awhhh!! Ferrets in love sound adorable!! Haru and Yuki are pretty close. Yuki adores Haru, its so adorable. Haru kind of adores him, though most of the time she likes to ignore his existence ahhahaha I feel they're bonded. And last but not least. Let's talk about Soy. Alot of ferret treats use Soy. N-Bones for example use Soy and while mine use to love them, I've learned that soy is not a good idea. It pops up in alot of pet foods and treats. Here is some good info on why we want to avoid soy products. holisticferret60.proboards.com/thread/6402/truth-soy-protein

Maybe it has similar temperatures to our alice springs. Wild west?! Like horses and shoot outs? I have to admit, Im only ever excited when it comes to the horse side of things. When it comes to reading novels, I prefer Victorian Era time and cannot stand wild wild west~ OOps...that just posted for some reason.I was going to say Daylight savings time is rather irritating. Pick a time and stick with it please.It really is! I've always thought of it as a complete waste of time. I've been late so many times for classes in the past 2 years thanks to Daylight savings. I also always forget to do the whole change the time thing. Even for 2 hours, it still messes up my sleeping schedule HAHAHA. Naoki says that she will sing what she wants. I love it. What a little Diva.I wonder if Rosie will learn to make ferret noises? She really seems so curious about them.Naoki is a male, but I agreel He really does seem like the diva type. He's also a little smarty butt. I've held Haru up to the cage a few times. I usually wouldn't do it since it would probably scare birds since ferrets are carnivores, but we have a pretty tall cage and its got some great locks. (Still, they are always supervised) Rosie would be standing at the edge and would poke her little beak out at haru. I think she was sniffing her Rosie has been hearing the noses that Beavis makes during play time and I'm pretty sure after a period of time she will eventually start copying them. I'll have to get videos when she starts doing that. So, you have Cockatoos flying over your house. That must be beautiful to watch.We had green parrots in Florida. Someone let out a few, many years back and they live on an island near the beach. They are noisy little guys and eat all the red off the Bottlebrush trees.I had one in my yard and so our house was a daily stop. I miss them.Cockatoos are quite rare in my parts. Well they aren't rare, but they don't seem to fly around much here since we're slightly in the country but slightly close to a city. I've seen many sulphur crested cockatoos (they're the most common type in Vic, NSW, QLD, NT) They tend to stick to the coastal parts and in the country you can see them everywhere. When I used to live in Echuca and Bendigo, I would see them in flocks of 50 to 100 birds along with Cockatiels and Galah's. Galah's are pretty cockatoos and have a pretty rosie chest. ;u; Our old neighbour had one and it was always talking. Literally talking. We also have other birds like Crimson Rosella (very pretty little bird) Theres these other types of cockatoo as well called yellow and red tail. I've seen the yellow tail in the wild. Its quite lovely. oooh Green parrots? Possibly a Parakeet breed? Those are australian. We have a rainbow lorikeet that comes to visit us at the moment and it sits on our fence. ;u; The pictures of the possums are adorable. They are really cute.I had heard of ring tailed Lemurs but not ring tailed possums.You all have the cutest animals by far.Apparently the common brushtail possum is named from trichosurus vulpecula which means "furry tailed" in greek and "little fox" in Latin. Its so adorable! Its also a folivore but occasionally carnivores. (like small mammals, rats mice etc) Lemurs are so adorable!! They're very cute, but like the ferret, shouldn't be underestimated based on being cute. They can still be quite dangerous~ Roamy and Juliet are truly in love. It is amazing to watch.Yuki and Haru sound bonded. Maybe it's like human couples, some are more openly affectionate and appear to be madly in love. Others have a quieter love that runs deep.Speaking of which, do you have a special someone?
Did you name Roamy and Juliet after romeo and juliet? ;D; I think that maybe another reason to why Haru and Yuki have bonded is because I got them both from the same breeder. So possibly the scent of the same home? I also see that all three are beginning to become quite bonded together. I'm so happy that Haru and Yuki accepted him so fast. I have three special someones asleep in their cage. hooman special someone no. The stoat video is awesome. What ferocious little things they are.Have you seen one of my favorite videos of a ferocious little guy? This is Ozzie the lesser weasel. I am madly in love with this little one.Oh I saw this !! He's so adorable!! When you get a chance would you post your menu for the week?We just had weights but I'd like to see a menu plan and please include Beavis.Oh yes, I was suppose to weigh them in as well for today. I'll do it first thing in the morning. (Its currenly 4am hhahahaha) Beavis is simply beautiful. There is a look on his face like "I want to know everything because I am very smart and curious".
I've began to notice that he is also a very cheeky boy. Both he and yuki were made for eachother Oh yeah, I also weaved some tea towels through their ramp ladders in their cage. I wanted to make some but I couldn't locate my sewing kit. ;A; I want to buy a sewing machine and start making my own hammocks and stuff. ;u; OKay I'm going to sleep now. I'll weigh them and post everything in the morning. ^^ Bye bye!

AHAHA Did you hear anything on barbies yet? Barbie time is coming up~ Christmas and Aussie day is the best time for them. (I'll let you guess what it means~) Everyone here who tries an Australian accent always says "put a shrimp on the barbie". So, I'm guessing Barbies is a BBQ. From what I've gathered off TV, Arizona is quite a hot place isn't it? Maybe it has similar temperatures to our alice springs. Wild west?! Like horses and shoot outs? I have to admit, Im only ever excited when it comes to the horse side of things. When it comes to reading novels, I prefer Victorian Era time and cannot stand wild wild west~Arizona is very very hot. Everyone always says but it's a dry heat. It's just Hot, like in the 100's (farenheit). The Apache Indians (my favorite) lived there. Paul has family there. It's desert and rather stunning in it's scenery. We don't have the big bugs there like I've read about in Alice Springs. I mentioned before that I loved that book "A town called or like (?) Alice". I'll read just about anything though. Are you into Steam Punk? Westerns were big when I was young. They were all over TV and in the Movies. I don't really enjoy reading westerns anymore though. I would like to live out west though. I like the idea of a ranch and the cowboy lifestyle. Alot of hard work though. It really is! I've always thought of it as a complete waste of time. I've been late so many times for classes in the past 2 years thanks to Daylight savings. I also always forget to do the whole change the time thing. Even for 2 hours, it still messes up my sleeping schedule HAHAHAI did shift work in the Air Force. I worked many Daylight savings time nights where time sprang back. Never once did I get to work the Spring Forward and get an extra hour off. It gets worse as you get older too. It use to mess us up for a day or two, now it's like a week before I feel normal again. Naoki is a male, but I agreel He really does seem like the diva type. He's also a little smarty butt. I've held Haru up to the cage a few times. I usually wouldn't do it since it would probably scare birds since ferrets are carnivores, but we have a pretty tall cage and its got some great locks. (Still, they are always supervised) Rosie would be standing at the edge and would poke her little beak out at haru. I think she was sniffing her Rosie has been hearing the noses that Beavis makes during play time and I'm pretty sure after a period of time she will eventually start copying them. I'll have to get videos when she starts doing that.That made me curious. Is there a term for a male who is a Diva. I couldn't find anything. A Prima Donna which is also a term used for Diva's is a leading Soprano. The male equivalent is a leading Tenor called the Primo Uomo. I hope Rosie does learn to speak Ferret. A video would be so cool and you know that everyone would have to "Like" it. Cockatoos are quite rare in my parts. Well they aren't rare, but they don't seem to fly around much here since we're slightly in the country but slightly close to a city. I've seen many sulphur crested cockatoos (they're the most common type in Vic, NSW, QLD, NT) They tend to stick to the coastal parts and in the country you can see them everywhere. Its quite lovely. oooh Green parrots? Possibly a Parakeet breed? Those are australian. We have a rainbow lorikeet that comes to visit us at the moment and it sits on our fence. ;u; They all sound so lovely. Your neighbors bird actually talked? Like in a conversational sort of way. That would be fun. I saw a parrot in Puerto Rico. He wouldn't talk to me until I spoke Spanish to him. I think you're right and the green parrots were a Parakeet breed. We just called them Parrots since we all fancied ourselves as Pirates living on the water. What about the Kookaburra? Do you see those? Did you name Roamy and Juliet after romeo and juliet? ;D;
I think that maybe another reason to why Haru and Yuki have bonded is because I got them both from the same breeder. So possibly the scent of the same home? I also see that all three are beginning to become quite bonded together. I'm so happy that Haru and Yuki accepted him so fast.
I have three special someones asleep in their cage. hooman special someone no.They came to us with that name. I chose them in part because I adore Shakespeare and I thought it was a sign. Ponce had just passed away. I opened Craigslist for the first time and there they were. I believed Ponce was sending me a sign to bring them home. I use to read Shakespeare out loud to him. I wanted to memorize passages. Then their paperwork showed the names Clarice and Hannibel, from Silence of the Lambs. I believe their owner changed their names to make them more appealing. Juliet is such a Juliet. It's a perfect name for her. Roamy didn't seem like a Romeo so I shortened it to Roamy. He is a Romeo though. He also begged for Romaine lettuce. I didn't let him have it but they must have. Yuki and Haru made me so happy accepting Beavis right away. You can bet they will all have a strong bond and you're part of their business. I know other animals bond but doesn't it seem like Ferrets have special bonds? Maybe I just think that because I only have ferrets. I've began to notice that he is also a very cheeky boy. Both he and yuki were made for eachother Oh yeah, I also weaved some tea towels through their ramp ladders in their cage. I wanted to make some but I couldn't locate my sewing kit. ;A; I want to buy a sewing machine and start making my own hammocks and stuff. ;u;
Cheeky is such a perfect word. I loved that you chose that for the photo contest theme. The ramp covers are important. Once Keller arrrived and used the cage for the first few days, I hand sewed ramp and shelf covers and now I have to undo it all. I'll be babysitting Julesalot's ferrets in two weeks and her Caillou is a chewer. I can't wait to meet them though. Good Night and Sweet Dreams. :wave3:

I was going to go to bed but I thought I would finish this and some homework This week we kind of ran low on some meats. I'll need to top up on some organs this week at shopping. I ran out of beef organs, so i may buy some of that and possibly some pork for muscle meat this week. I'm still planning on getting those Turkey Necks and Duck wings in bulk next week on Tuesday. So I may type up a new plan at the bottom of this reply. ^^ Once I get the Turkey and Duck for bone in meats, I'll wipe out chicken completely (or at least keep the gizzards only), which was my plan anyway. ^^ 1. Ferret's name: Yuki. 2. Ferret's weight: 1359g. 3. Ferret has eaten "3.5 ounces" on average per meal. 4. Stools: Brown smooth (Muscle Meats) Medium brown (Bone-In Meat) Dark Brown with a smooth consistency (Organ) Yellowish wet poops when having egg. 5. Activity levels: Moderate to High. 6. Weekly menu: Chicken gizzard/necks, Turkey mince/shanks, Beef mince/kidney/ox heart, whole mice, lamb liver/kidney/heart.(Egg)
1. Ferret's name: Haru. 2. Ferret's weight: 800g. 3. Ferret has eaten "2.5 ounces" on average per meal. 4. Stools: Same as Yuki. 5. Activity levels: Moderate. 6. Weekly menu: Same as Yuki.
1. Ferret's name: Beavis. 2. Ferret's weight: 1379g. 3. Ferret has eaten "4 ounces" on average per meal. 4. Stools: He had greenish wet poop on the first 2 days of coming home regardless of what he ate then it cleared up and he started having similar poops to Haru & Yuki. 5. Activity levels: Moderate-High. 6. Weekly menu: Same as Yuki minus Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues. Okay heres a plan I hope to start in about a fortnight.Since I'm ordering on the 15th, I don't know what date I'll get the order by. Though I suspect I may get it the next day or next few days after ordering. So I'll just plan for the following day, otherwise simply pick up from which ever day. Sat: (B+M)AM: Duck Wings.PM: Pork Slivers.Sun: (B)AM: Turkey Necks.PM: Duck Wings.Mon: (O+B) AM: Beef Liver/ Lamb Kidney.PM: Turkey Necks.Tue: (M+B)AM: Pork Slivers.PM: Turkey Necks.Wed:(M+B+Egg) AM: Lamb Heart., Egg. PM: Duck Wings.Thu: (B) AM: Turkey Necks.PM: Turkey Necks.Fri: (O+M+B)AM: Beef Liver/ Lamb Kidney / Lamb Heart.PM: Duck Wings.So thats about 6 different meat proteins. (Duck, Turkey, Beef/Ox, Lamb, Pork, Chicken.)8 bone-in meat meals. 3.5 Muscle meats meals. 1 ½ liver + ½ other organ meal. 1 ½ heart + ¼ liver + ¼ other organ meal. Does that look okay?

Your planned menu looks great and your current menu works very nicely. It will be even better once you have your order and can drop some of the chicken. I know it's your only option right now.
Everyone's weight looks very good and your Poop Patrol report is nice and healthy.
Sigh...your menu looks so good. I really should graduate you. You know how to do this now. Your menu is excellent and we know you can pass a graduation test.
I'm being selfish since I enjoy working with you so much. Unfortunately our waiting list for Mentors is long and someone else really could use a mentor. What do you think? Do you feel ready to go off on your own?
One thing about Mentors. I would always be here for you. We're bonded now. (giggle)
I've also seen the posts you've written to new ferrents. You know your stuff. Thanks for taking the time to talk with other new members. The help is appreciated.
You decide. Are you comfortable graduating or would you like a little more time? :wave3:

I know it's your only option right now.Thats fantastic! ^^ Everyone's weight looks very good and your Poop Patrol report is nice and healthy.Beavis and Yuki's weight are so close. Yuki will probably catch up as he gets older too! Sigh...your menu looks so good.I really should graduate you. You know how to do this now.Your menu is excellent and we know you can pass a graduation test.I'm happy that the menu's look good. ;u; I think learning how to properly plan them was my main concern before starting this program~ ^^ I'm being selfish since I enjoy working with you so much.Unfortunately our waiting list for Mentors is long and someone else really could use a mentor.What do you think? Do you feel ready to go off on your own?I completely understand and I feel very confident to do things by myself from now on. Like you said, there's others who need a mentor for guidance with their fuzzies. ;u; I think I was just lucky to have some easy ferrets/ I hear some can take longer to transition. One thing about Mentors. I would always be here for you. We're bonded now. (giggle)Thats exactly right! ^^ I know if I have concerns I can always come back and ask on this forum. ^^ I've also seen the posts you've written to new ferrents. You know your stuff.Thanks for taking the time to talk with other new members. The help is appreciated.(giggle) I think its a really good thing to share what I've learnt. I'm on so many ferret groups on Facebook, but I've become so... well, I guess I could say annoyed by people's ignorance, that I may just leave those groups . If I hear another 'kibble is good' I'll probably set my hair on fire (not really, that would really hurt.) I think I'll just stick with the holistic group. ;u; You decide. Are you comfortable graduating or would you like a little more time?I don't want to be greedy . I've learnt so much, and even though I know I have alot more to learn, I know I'm already set with all of my three eating a proper diet. ^^ I'm also aware of the chicken, and plan on keeping it to a minimum. I've also since starting this program, managed to make and organise a ferret journal. I'll also be able to look through this thread if I need to remember something. (especially when it comes to maths lol) I'm confident, comfortable and very happy to graduate if you think i'm ready to venture out into the land of ferrets and noms alone. Here's three happy noses for you!

Some do take quite awhile. Like I said, it's really about the ferrent. Someone like you has no problems and then we have some who take up to a year. That's usually when we decide to change Mentors and get a fresh point of view. I feel so sad but you really are ready. You know more than you realize that you know. I can see it in your posts. You don't have to leave the forum. We often see graduates move to FB but honestly, I prefer it over here. It's a kinder gentler place. I've only tried one other group. I'm very visual and I like the format that we have here. No, don't set your hair on fire. It would really hurt and might grow back funny. I don't want to be greedy . We can always pm. I keep in touch with my other Mentees. Bellam my first is now a Mentor. I'm going to take on a new Mentee with Sveta. She's a MIT and we like them to work with a full Mentor on their first switch. There is someone with two kits and that's a great first Mentee for a Mentor in Training. My other Mentee Akane may be awhile before she is ready. So, don't hesitate to ask questions. I'm going to use your test unless you want a new one. I've been testing you all along and you have already had all of the questions from our data base. I've made up new ones for you. I'll also forward your menu to Heather. Once she approves it, then I will come on and congratulate you. Then your name will be added to our list of graduates and your status changed to Raw Feeder/Whole Prey Feeder. I will also continue to check up on you, usually with a pm. You've just done so well and should be so proud of yourself and the three little ones. :wave3:

Congratulations :boing: You've graduated and you're ready to walk this path alone :wave2:. You have the foundation to help you feed your fuzzes in a more natural and healthy manner. Please remember that your learning never stops, and dietary needs change from ferret to ferret and throughout each their lives as you're finding out with your own business. I would like you to be aware that though you now have the capability and the knowledge to create your little ones diets, you are never alone and that your mentor (you need only pm) is always available to you. The list is also a very good resource and you should always be aware that it's available to answer any questions you may have either about diet or care. Good luck, in a few days Sherry will lock down this thread and place it in the archives but be aware that you can always look through it as a reference tool but you just will not be able to post to it. Your mentor will be in to congratulate you shortly :thumbsup: ciao

Seeing those 3 Happy noses makes me feel so good. They all have lovely long whiskers also.That's a good thing.Ferrets have longer whiskers than cats (rofl!) They all have such cute noses! I wasn't expecting things to be so easy when it came to prepping food, weighing meals, etc. It's probably also a good thing I switched them at their young ages. I think I also got lucky with Beavis. Its really sad beavis was originally being fed 'anything'. I'm thinking he's detoxing like Yuki was because his poop sort of looks like kibble poop at the moment. I'm happy that he eats what ever I give him though. (yay) I'm a fast learner (I wasn't stalking threads or anything) I also pick up things as I go along. The more I use the information, the better I remember it or faster i learn it~ I also noticed people leave after graduating. I prefer the forum to the fb group. It seems its less overwhelming here, so it makes it a better learning environment in a way for me personally.. I also have gotten into the habit of checking in here. I always have a tab opened for the forum, facebook, tumblr (ferret blog hahahaha) emails~^^ I've only tried one other group. I'm very visual and I like the format that we have here.No, don't set your hair on fire. It would really hurt and might grow back funny. I'm also very visual (being an artist). When I first joined the forum I thought it was going to be hard getting used to the colour/design, but now its grown on me alot. Burnt hair smells so bad too!! ;A; We can always pm. I keep in touch with my other Mentees. Bellam my first is now a Mentor.I'm going to take on a new Mentee with Sveta. She's a MIT and we like them to work with a full Mentor on their first switch. There is someone with two kits and that's a great first Mentee for a Mentor in Training.The forums quite big, but in a way its quite small, so we'd still be able to talk in threads as well~ (Plus we're friends on facebook so between the thread, fb group and that, you couldn't miss seeing Haru, Yuki and Beavis!)^^ I noticed that MIT pair with Mentors. I've wondered around some other switch threads in my spare time. I was mainly intrigued by the different approaches~ My other Mentee Akane may be awhile before she is ready. So, don't hesitate to ask questions.If I do have questions I wouldn't hesitate~ ;u; I'm going to use your test unless you want a new one. I've been testing you all along and you have already had all of the questions from our data base. I've made up new ones for you.okay! hehehe Ooopsies. I've gone through all the questions already! I'll also forward your menu to Heather. Once she approves it, then I will come on and congratulate you. Then your name will be added to our list of graduates and your status changed to Raw Feeder/Whole Prey Feeder.That sounds fantastic! I'll have to go tell the little trio the good news once it comes~ I will also continue to check up on you, usually with a pm.You've just done so well and should be so proud of yourself and the three little ones.Sure thing! ^^ I'm so happy that I did well. When I got the ferrets I was sooooo nervous. I also feel like I've accomplished my goal. Now they can be healthy and live a long happy life~
