Okay, thanks You might have to smash the bone up a bit more for George as his ulcer may make it difficult for him to eat larger bones right now. Let me know how he does with it mixed in. And yes, I think you can start pushing Es now. She's become much more accepting. It could be because she sees Martin and Cassie eating My wee girl had a bad experience with bone and refused it? She is now eating chunks of bone in after seeing a new one doing so. Monkey see/monkey do can really make a difference.

Ok will do, thanks Sherry. George has been to the vets and he's fine. Vet thinks it's a reaction to the stress, but his mouth is fine now. Waiting for the blood results for his insulinoma so will see how that goes. Apparently the vet said feeding ferrets is not optimum for their health and we should be supplementing!
Oh and day 1 of the new menu, it seems that none of the fuzzies like venison. They're having another serving for tea but the breakfast stuff looks like it's hardly been touched!
Last weeks menu. I gave all ferrets the same unless otherwise stated, except Es who is having 30 mins of biscuits every day along with the raw:
Monday: AM- Ground chicken w/bone and heart PM- Beef chunks
Tuesday: George- AM Pork PM Gizzard Marvin- AM Pork PM Liver Cassie- AM Pork PM Kidney Es- Soup
Wednesday: AM- Chicken Wing Tips PM- Pork Spine & wing tips
Thursday: George- Chicken chunks & Bonemeal Marvin & Cassie- Heart
Friday: George- AM Chicken chunks & Bonemeal PM Gizzards Cassie & Marvin- AM Beef chunks PM Chicken Wing Tips Es- AM Gizzards PM Soup
Saturday: AM Chicken Wings PM 1 pinkie & 1 fuzzy mouse each & Chicken wings
Sunday: AM Duck Neck PM Heart
Weight: Cassie- 0.9kg Marvin- 1.1kg George and Es are asleep so will have to get their weights later on.
Poos are all change all the time at the moment. I think because they are all still fighting with each other and a bit stressed it's effecting their poos. George has done some normal looking poops for the first time in ages which is really good.
The new ones are standard young ferrets energy wise. Sleep hard- play hard. George and Es seem to be trying to sleep until the new ferrets go away and there's quite a bit of rough fighting still. Hoping they get it over with soon! They are still sleeping seperately at the moment as I don;t trust them together.

George really is being a brat about his organs, isn't he? Try taking his favourite meat and soaking it in liver blood so he has to start tasting it.

He is, he's eaten some heart yesterday. I'm a bit worried about his weight as he seems really bony. I bought some goose fat and all of them seem to like it apart from george! So I bought some small mice and he seems to like those so will tahaw some out and see if he'll eat em.

Yeah I guess so. Maybe I'm just overly sensitive to any changes at the moment. He ate all the heads off the mice last night haha

Bit worried about George as he's now 0.8kg. He is eating but I just don't think he's eating enough. He'll eat gizzards and mice heads but that's pretty much it now he's leaving everything else. Should I just start giving him that daily to get the weight back on and then try him with the other stuff again? He's so bony.

Looks like we need to take a few steps back with him what was the last thing he ate willingly, other than gizzards and mice heads?

Actually- can you get a butcher to make up a pet mince for you? Meat, bonemeal, heart, liver and kidney. It would help him with transitioning if so.

He won't eat minced stuff at all, not the soups or actual mince or the nature's Reserve stuff we got for him. I got some more large mice today.
Erm the last thing he ate willingly was probably beef with bone meal.

This weeks menu...
I gave all ferrets the same this week. Es is still on 30 mins of biscuits twice a day, bu otherwise the same.
Monday: AM- Venison PM- Venison None of the ferrets liked this very much. Cassie and Marvin ate a small amount but George and Es didn't touch it.
Tuesday: AM- Liver PM- Chicken Wings George and Es still aren't fond of liver, but they ate a small amount. Cassie and Marvin ate most of theirs.
Wednesday: AM- Venison PM- Venison None of them ate it this time, so I supplemented with some gizzards with bone meal sprinkled on and they ate most of that.
Thursday: AM- Hearts PM- Duck Neck & Mice They all ate this, even Esmerelda(She didn't eat the mice)
Friday: AM- Gizzards with bone meal PM- Chicken with bone meal Everyone ate most of it except George, he had a few bites and that's it really.
Saturday: AM- Beef PM- 1/2 heart 1/2 liver & mice George didn't want anything apart from the mice (He ate the heads). Everyone else ate theirs.
Sunday: AM- Chicken Wings PM- Chicken Wings Only Cassie ate these. Not sure why no one else wanted them today. George had some mice and he ate them.
Their poos are all over the place at the moment, but I'm still putting that down to settling in and stress.
The new 2 are very energetic and playful. George and Es are sleeping loads.
Weights: George- 0.8Kg (Worried about his weight) Es-0.8kg Cassie- 1.3kg Marvin- 1.6kg

Okay. Since Es is doing better reduce her kibble to once a day and see how she does. With any of the mince they won't eat try making it a bit soupier and start them off by hand until they accept it. George. What a brat! You are going to have to hand feed him some mince once a day for now until he starts accepting a greater variety. He was going great guns before
