New favorite toy... toothbrushes! I found out AFTER I used mine. Dearest daughter says, "Oh, by the way, I picked your toothbrush up and put it on the sink. Slinkee was playing with it behind the toilet."

Now I know I'm supposed to have more bone-in meals in there, but looking back over last week's food/poop chart, the times that he had 2 bone meals in a row (and actually ate them), he had really hard dry poops, or the 'sunflower seedy' poop. I've put them every other meal, but that only gives him 7 instead of 9, so I don't know how to adjust it. I thought maybe a liver/bone meal, but he won't eat the bone if he has liver 'candy'. take a pic of the really hard dry poops that you are talking about. they should have solid (but kind of soft) poops with bone in meats. with bone in them of course. you can also just give the muscle meat with the eggshell calcium for the extra 2 meals of bone that you need. but not good to use eggshell calcium as sole source of calcium EVERY DAY bc they need all the good stuff that is in the real bone (marrow)

It is ok to give 2 bone in meals in a row. lots of people do it. yes the poops are a bit more formed, look more solid, have bone in them but that is normal when they eat the bone-in meats.

Well, I posted a reply about the bone-in meals and the poops, but I don't know where it went. Here's the short version of what I typed last night: His poops have stabilized and he's doing fine now with 2 bone meals in a row. I did meal prep last night, so here's the new menu. Wed am: turkey neck Wed pm: chicken wing Thurs am: chicken liver, turkey heart Thurs pm: chicken wing Fri am: pork, turkey tail Fri pm: chicken neck Sat am: beef tongue, chicken egg Sat pm: pork riblet Sun am: turkey wing Sun pm: chicken neck Mon am: turkey liver Mon pm: turkey neck Tues am: beef stew meat Tues pm: chicken wing The butcher is supposed to deliver my cow & pig organs later this week... we'll see. If he does, I'll revise the menu and re-post.

Sorry to be so long getting to this... 3 consecutive 12-hour yard sale days have worn me out.
No Pet G.O. yet, I did finally get in touch with customer service and they're checking into it for me, supposed to notify me by phone when it ships. And I can't find quail eggs, but he gets chicken or duck egg yolk once a week. Should he have it more often than that? I was planning to increase the egg when he started shedding a lot, but so far that hasn't happened.

Just checking in because I haven't been here in a few days. It's been hectic at my house, but Slinkee is my bright spot at the end of the day. He's eating, sleeping, pooping, and playing just fine, and keeping me sane in the process. I've had several LATE nights/early mornings in a row, working on the computer that is literally right beside his cage, and he smooshes himself up against the side where I'm working so he can reach out and touch me every once in a while Even though his door is open & he can roam the house, he's been staying beside me, dozing or rolling around begging for scritches.

No, I can't ever reach him at the shop and he won't call me back. He buys bull calves from my uncle's dairy farm and he came down the mountain yesterday to pick up a calf, but he forgot to bring my innards. So I was going to go by and pick them up since he supposedly has them ready, but he doesn't want me to do that. IDK why... crazy man.

sorry I did not post yesterday. I wanted to throw my cell phone into the canal.
well, you can continue using just the liver only until you can find the other organ. don't worry. lots of people have this issue. including myself. I can find beef kidneys but RARELY.

I ALMOST brought home a baby girl yesterday... still not sure that I'm not going back to get her. I really REALLY want another boy, but she is sooooo cute. And Slinkee likes her, not get-all-excited-likes-her, but really-wants-to-be-close-to-her-likes-her. So I don't know...
