1. Where did you first learn about natural diets for ferrets?
From YouTube mostly and some research online.
2. Please describe the type of diet you would like assistance in switching your ferret(s) to. Be sure to include if you are interested in feeding whole prey (live or frozen-thawed) and if you are wanting to FULLY switch to a natural diet or PARTIALLY. If you are unsure what kind of diet you want to put your ferrets on, please express that and we can help you find the best type of natural diet for your ferret.
FranknPrey preferably, I had my young ferret Carrie on a kibble diet. She was eating Marshall's Ferret food for a while then we switched to several brands of cat food including wet.
3. Why are you interested in switching your ferrets to a natural diet?
I only want the very best for my baby girl especially after losing her brother to JL. Carrie is my number one priority!
4. Do you understand that switching your ferret to a natural diet can be a lengthy, arduous process? Its not an overnight switch. It can be a commitment of several weeks or even months. Your HF Mentor will be more then happy to assist you in switchng your ferret(s) to a natural diet, but you need to be equally as commited. If you aren't willing to tough out a potentially lengthy switching process, or if you have major life changes approaching (baby on the way, moving, starting school, getting married/divorced, etc) then it might be a better idea to wait on switching your ferret's diet until you have more time. Are you willing to make the commitment?
Yes I am willing to do whatever it takes. I have no life changing events coming up so I will be fully committed to do whatever it takes to make my baby happy
5. How many ferrets do you currently have? What are their names? Ages? Genders? Do they have any health problems? Are they overweight? Underweight? How long have you had each ferret for?
Right now only one, my Carrie but may be getting another male. Carrie is happy, healthy and about to be a year old. I have had her since the beginning of this year January 30 to be exact.
6. What diet do you currently feed your ferrets? (Please include all treats, supplements, etc) Well she is currently receiving chicken wings and other muscle meats and organ meats. They are mainly chicken but she really loves the edible bones.
7. Have you ever tried to switch your ferrets to a natural diet in the past? If yes, what happened?
I gave them some mince meat in the past and some raw red meat. They didn't seem to care for it much at first but then grew to love it.
8. What additional information about yourself or your ferrets would you like to share?
Carrie is more inclined to try new things now than she was when she was younger so I am hoping this will turn out like I hope.
9. How often during the week do you have access to a computer?
All through the week.
10. Please post a picture of each of your ferrets (if possible).
Attached at the bottom is a pic of both of my babies.
11. Have you met the requirements for this program? Do you have your scale, a place to access meats, hearts, livers, etc?
Yes to all to the best of my ability I currently have a scale in my bathroom and I get my meats from the local grocery store if I can't find what I need there, I travel a few extra miles to my secondary store. Living in a small town, not a whole lot of stores are available but I can usually get what I need.

1. Ferret's name: Carrie
2. Ferret's weight: 3 pounds (1360.777 grams)
3. Ferret has eaten "X" amount on average per meal. One whole chicken wing
4. Stools on various proteins. Seems to be loose but good in color. A lil smelly also but it could be her body getting use to the raw diet.
5. Activity levels: Playful and dooking all around as normal. She gets at least 3-4 hours worth of play time.
My two fur babies Bandit is the sable n Carrie is the Albino. Sadly Bandit is no longer with us. DIP baby boy
