It will definitely change it. But who knows? They might even prefer it.

I went to the grocery store just to be on the safe side. I'll make some soup up as well with the beef liver instead of wasting it. I bought a lot of boneless chicken thighs that were on sale as well. Score!

I have GREAT news!! Jayden just gobbled down some soup all by his little self (dance). I put some soup in their bowl, placed a few chunks of FDR on top and Jayden went to town. He didn't even eat the FDR, just the soup!! Johnny also had some soup from the bowl He's eating the FDR chunks, but he's also having just soup. Once my blender is dry I'll crush up some FDR to sprinkle on top. The other two are sleeping so I'll wait until they're awake. This makes me very happy

Well, Sherry. You'll never guess what just happened. Kyle actually licked raw soup from my finger without being scruffed. I shall take this opportunity to DANCE AWAY!! (dance) (dance) I had to scruff him at first, he put up a little fight, but then I let go and he licked my finger clean while sitting on my lap. I did that a few times before he had enough. Tonight's menu is some FDR soup mixed with about 1/4 raw soup Kyle will still get kibble, I haven't decided yet if I should mix some raw soup in with it again.

I'm going to go with breakthrough!! I have some more good news. Johnny and the babies actually turned their noses up to kibble this morning! I only left a little kibble last night and the bowl was completely empty when I went in today so I put more in and they just walked away! They wanted FDR soup/raw soup!
Jayden and Johnny are eating soup from a bowl on the floor, no spoon feeding from me! I can't believe it! I haven't seen Charlie do it yet, but I'm sure he is.
I think I gave too much FDR/raw soup last night. There was a lot left over and it smelled horrible, it made me gag. I made the FDR soup with warm water and then put raw soup in, so I think that made it nasty really quickly and obviously the didn't want it.

I don't know what the heck is going on...my whole world has turned upside down. Charlie just ate a chunk of meat!! There was a pretty large piece of chicken thigh that didn't get ground up in the soup. He took it out, went to take it under the couch so I moved him to his deeding den. When he came out, it was gone!!!

You've passed the point of where they are going to fight it Now is the time to start introducing new proteins as well as liver and heart and bone (dance)

They're being little brats today lol. Johnny had some soup from a spoon, Kyle had some finger licks, and the babies haven't been out much. Oh, Charlie just came out, so I'll try soup with him now. I'm going to keep finger feeding Kyle throughout the day.
They only ate about half of their soup overnight. I think it's starting to go bad now so I'm going to have to throw it out soon.
I might leave out the soup with the FDR today/tonight. Instead, I'll make the FDR up and put some tiny chicken slivers in. They might just not like soup! If they could go straight to slivers, that would be great. If that goes well, I'll throw in some cut up wing tips within the next few days.

Well...my idea worked better than I could have hoped for. I gave the boys some FDR with about 10-15 slivers...the bowl was licked clean by Johnny and Jayden. Not a piece left. Charlie, that sweet boy, he was just eating slivers coated in FDR mush that were about as large as my big toe nail. He loved them! I think I've found my way in

Wow! That's wonderful (excited) ! Alright- try them all with slivers/chunks(except Kyle of course). Do an entire meal of them, topped or tossed with the FDR and see how they accept it With Kyle just keep plugging along. Slow and steady will be best with him for now. Again, once he'll willingly lick it from your finger with no scruff ing then start spoon feeding.

Charlie seems to be the only one who actually likes slivers. The others left me a wonderful mess of slivers stuck to the floor to clean up this morning around their food bowl. Most were eaten though I think. I already gave them breakfast, and only a little bit was left with some slivers. For dinner, I'll do the sliver meal! This is great! Kyle had a bunch of finger lickings last night too. Scruffed of course, but still better than before. I still haven't figured out how to stop leaving kibble out overnight. If that's even possible yet.

It isn't possible or advisable to leave the kibble out completely just yet. Excellent progress however! Next time with Kyle try just holding him on your lap and finger feeding without the scruffing. You may have to follow his nose with your finger for a bit, but give it a shot and let me know how he does :$

This was breakfast: This was about 30min later It was turkey chunks coated in FDR dust. HUGE success by Johnny, Jayden, and mostly Charlie. I'm going to give Kyle ground kibble dust, if he likes it, I'll add some FDR dust in. If I can transition him to FDR, I'll be one happy boy.

Okay, start increasing amounts and sizes of the bits. Also time to include heart and other proteins. You can also look at adding in some well smashed up bones for them. While you can always offer Kyle the kibble/FDR dust, if he refuses just stick with what you are doing now. He IS making progress, it's just slow.
