Perfect!! I throw bone-in stuff with grinds all the time just to kind of up their bone in-take and make sure they get to chomp on something. I'm a fan of mixing stuff together. I'd say add only an additional half meal of both organ and heart if you WANT to at first. See how he reacts to it, especially since the organs give them the fun doodoos. A little extra heart doesn't help, but too much isn't exactly beneficial either. So I'd say start with half and we'll see where to go from there I think I may have said this before, so forgive me if I am repeating myself, but sometimes I throw some bone-in in with the organ grinds to help with those spectacular poos. I've noticed it does make a LITTLE bit of a difference - not QUITE as runny. If you ever want to try it.

That's what I do right now, he gets a bone-in piece (usually a wing or neck) with his organ soup, it's still yucky, but not as bad as when I don't add it. His poop still smells horrendous though lol I hope it'll eventually die down to a mild nasty smell rather than a hurl-worthy stench haha

OH believe me it will calm down. How many weeks has he been on raw now? Did you get him from a store where they were feeding him kibble? My boyfriend almost put ours outside when we first switched them because it took over our house. I was on here in a panic asking what was going on because I wasn't about to let him get rid of them LOL! It never gets to a "pleasant" place but it does get better I promise

He's been on raw for almost a month, and yes he was fed Marshall kibble at the store. He's been on raw since the day I brought him home (April 8), and we quit kibble cold turkey that day. Ended up returning the kibble after a week lol

Yeah that's about right, then. Give it some time! I know it seemed like it took ours forever. And Theodore is so freaking HUGE it was HORRIBLE. It's like Jurassic Park trying to clean up his messes

I'm using wood stove pellets. I tried Swheat scoop and yesterday's news and absolutely hated both of them. Swheat scoop just made the smell a hundred times worse. I really like my pellets now, I like that they break down into dust when wet because then I can just cover the poop in dust and scoop it out cleaner without completely ruining my scoop. Plus I prefer the fresh smell a lot more.

Feline Pine pellets were recommended to me today. They treat the pine so it isn't harmful. I'm gonna give that a try as well as a wheat scoop. I'm currently using recycled newspaper stuff and hate it. I think I'm actually allergic to the dust.

Feline pine and wood stove pellets are literally the same thing with different packaging from what I understand. Both are treated with extreme heat to cure the wood dust and gets rid of all the oils and other things that are known to irritate animals. It's funny to watch the pellets expand and turn into dust when peed on too lol

Okay, I just placed my order. This is the official order now: 1 bag of duck feet 5 lb ground beef/organ/bone/tripe 5 lb duck meat/organ/bone 5 lb turkey meat/bone/organ 5 lb pork meat/bone/organ 5 lb mutton meat/bone/organ 2 lb rabbit organs
So the total amount of protein before the rabbit organ is 30 lbs, so 10% would be 3 lbs of organs, but I decided to just get 2 because I still have A LOT of the organ soup I had just made left. I also didn't get much additional bones because I decided to stick with store bought chicken wings or necks along with the duck feet. Heart I will buy at the store as well when I run out of what I currently have.
My total came to 142.67, and the total amount of food I bought should cover about 3.2-3.5 months, making my monthly cost about $44, but this is not including the additional food I will have to buy, which will both increase cost, but also increase how many months I will be able to feed him...and I know that was a lot of boring numbers stuff lol

LOL no you're fine!! I completely respect that you are number-oriented...simply because I am not and I can't stand numbers so it always amazes me when people can do that kind of thing. Sounds like you have a good plan! Keep in mind also that as his body catches up on all the nutrients from the raw switch, he will start eating a bit less, so that may prolong your supply!! Plus it's spring. After an order or two you will know exactly how much of what to order, as you will figure out what he likes and doesn't like and what not. I always feel like I'm spending a ton of money when I order, but after I realize how long it lasts, I don't mind it so much

Yeah I'm hoping it will last me through summer and hopefully when I make my next order it will be October so I can choose the longer shipping time and save a couple bucks lol I'll hopefully have my extra freezer by this weekend. My order won't ship until Monday so I'll have time to pick the freezer up.

Yeah they generally don't ship until the following Monday for some reason. Maybe just to make sure they give you something fresh and they have to prepare it - I don't want to think about that...
Shipping costs aren't much different in the later months :/ That's why I just order as much as I possibly can at once.

Well in October they let you choose 4 or 5 day shipping because it's cooler outside which can save 10-20 bucks depending on the order size... it's not a lot when looking at the big picture but I could add an additional item for what I'd save lol summer you can only do 3 day, which was 57 bucks for me on my order...could have been 42 for 4 or 5 day shipping
