Also, I read on their FAQ that they plus ship Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and need a day for processing. Since I placed my order late today and they had already had their Tuesday orders picked up they had to push my processing to tomorrow and since tomorrow is the last shipping day, they ended up pushing my shipment to Monday, which is fine with me, I have plenty of heart and organs so I'll just run to the store today and pick up the wings I was planning on getting anyway.

Mine love the wings from the store! Like the ordered ones too but they love em from the store for some reason.
That's good info to know about their processing and stuff. I never looked in to why they so that lol!!

Oh and for some reason even with the 4-5 day shipping mine is still $50+. I paid near $100 in shipping one time. Probably because I'm in Texas. Maybe they have to add extra ice or something since its always so dang HOT AND HUMID here!!

Lol I spent half an hour sectioning 16 wings I brought edible sections and absolutely smashing the bone to smitherines while still surrounded in the meat for him. He was so excited when I gave him his dinner tonight/last night he hasn't had wings in a while, just random bones like hips and ribs.

I need to smash up some chicken parts myself. Need to set a reminder on my phone to take the necks and parts out tonight! NOM they love those!! Would you mind coming up with maybe one or two more different menus for me? Just going to make sure of a few things You're numbers-oriented though so you're doing fine. Menu doesn't have to be what you've fed or anything, it can just be based off of the order you made. Just need to see that you "get" the guidelines and all! I really love Javick's coloring. There were 2 similar ones in the store this past weekend but their black spots weren't as bold and thick. Still so cute!! Can't bring any more home right now though Maybe next year!

Sorry! I've been meaning to post additional menus but haven't had the chance to get on a computer for long enough, I'll give a couple now though. Also, I bought a full freezer off Craigslist today!! It's HUGE, a lot bigger than I was expecting. It's the same size as my fridge/freezer in my kitchen, but it's a full freezer I told my family that they can use a shelf or two if it's not completely full of ferret food, and when I eventually move I will probably sell it to my parents since they love buying food in bulk lol. I haven't plugged the freezer in yet, so I'm not 100% sure it works, but the guy that sold it to me sounded pretty trustworthy. I'm not going to be too upset about it though, it was only 100 and I'm sure I could find some use for it or sell it for scraps if it doesn't actually work lol Anyway, here's my menu examples: Monday: Turkey CG Mutton CG Tueday: Rabbit organs mixed with beef CG (to help him adjust to the flavor since I know he's used to beef) - 1/2 organ meal Chicken wing Wednesday: Duck CG Pork CG Thursday: Chicken heart Duck feet Friday: Beef CG Chicken wing (to up the beef bone %) Saturday: Beef heart with turkey CG (1/2 heart meal) Frozen hopper mice Sunday: Rabbit organ mix Turkey CG My plan for the freezer is to have the top shelf all CG, second shelf organs and hearts, and third bone-in pieces. So once I'm comfortable with menus I can just grab CG monday, wednesday, and friday, and once Javik is used to the Rabbit organs I can give him a full meal tuesday with a bone-in meal at night, then heart meal thursday with bone-in, and then Saturday would be a mix of organ and heart (1/2 meal each), with a bone-in meal at night, and Sunday would be live or frozen prey with CG. I don't know if that counts as a menu or not...I can think up some more if you want. The one I gave first has 7 full CG meals total, 1 1/2 organ meals, 1 1/2 heart meals, 3 bone-in, and one whole prey, making 14 meals (I had to double check lol).

I just realized I havent really posted a picture from above of Javik so I just got one. It's of him sleeping though so it's not perfect, but it'll do until I can get one of him standing. Also, here's my freezer!

He's looking great!! And so is your freezer!!! I'm jealous haha! I understand limited computer time, so no worries. Wasn't trying to hound you - I know we all have lives I will have to get back to you in a bit on the menu. I"m swamped at work but didn't want you to think i forgot about ya! Also, what kind of harness did you buy for him? I was looking at the regular little Marshall's ones, but they didn't look small enough to fit Sydney, who has stayed around Javik's size. I can't seem to find any at a cheaper price than $8 a pop, either :/

I believe it is a Marshall harness, I'm not entirely sure though, it came with a lot of ferret supplies that I bought off Craigslist in preparation for getting him. When I first got it it was almost perfect for Javik at the smallest size, now it's loosened just a tad and fits him very well. I had to buy a bell though so I could hear where he is. There's also those colorful super pet harnesses, I used to have one for my old ferrets and they fit pretty well (both were slim females), I had gotten one with the rest of my supplies but the strap was kind of warn down, I'm guessing the woman had bought the Green harness as a replacement. I never had that kind of wear when my girls used it though, I'm pretty sure her ferret was very large and tried to scratch at it a lot.

OK you're going to need to make 14 more menus!! JK! Here's the only adjustment that I see needs to be made: It's perfectly fine to feed the duck feet, but it's best to feed them WITH another meat, otherwise it's a lot of bone. Was recently informed that too much bone DOES cause constipation so I mildly steered you wrong with all the talk about "you can't have too much bone!" You'll know if you're feeding too much, though. I think you have a great variation, just be sure to add some meat with the feet. Maybe some pork trim or something? So just make one mo'e for me prease, ma'am

Would it be a better idea to just mix all organs with the higher bone content CGs? (duck and turkey) the only reason I have bone in on the menu is because I need them to solidify the nasty organ poo. If that would work then I will make a quick menu to work around that, adding more gizzards and boneless chunks I also had a quick question about eggs... I keep seeing people feeding "whole eggs", when they do that do they just crack the she'll in half and let their ferrets eat the shell (do ferrets even eat shells on their own? Lol) or do they blend the whole egg together?

Okay, I just got home from work. Here's a new menu working with the aforementioned plan. I have 3 lbs of organs total (2 lbs rabbit organ mix, 1 lb liver and small intestine soup) that I will divide between 10 lbs of duck and turkey, or 160 ounces of poultry, 48 ounces of organs. So each poultry CG mix will get 24 ounces of organs, making them 104 total ounces each. I've decided to portion my bags into their max allowance, so each bag will have 4 oz (I'll take out 2 bags a day just in case), so each poultry mix will make 26 bags. Each bag will have just under an ounce of organ, and since each organ meal for him is around 2-3 ounces, he will need 2-3 poultry meals a week. If you don't mind, would you please run this past the other mentors and make sure I got my math right? I think I will rotate, one week has 2 poultry meals, the other has 3 if this method is approved by them.
According to that, here is my menu-
Monday: Beef CG Mutton CG
Tuesday: Turkey CG (1/2 organ meal) Pork CG
Wednesday: Chicken chunks Cow heart & Pork chunks (1/2 heart)
Thursday: Pork CG Duck CG (1/2 organ meal)
Friday: Beef CG Mutton CG
Saturday: Cow heart Chicken gizzards
Sunday: Pork chunks Live or frozen mouse

Hi, quick question- do your commercial grinds contain organs? If so, with the number you are feeding stick to a single meal of 1/2 normal amount for organs.
