RMB- Raw Meaty Bones As for how much, when they are first switched their appetites go through the roof. Same for going into winter appetites. But when you have both happening together??? ;D Feed them as much as they will eat They will ultimately settle back to about 2-4 oz a meal each.

Okay. The raw meaty bones will be good for their teeth, so I will definitely think about it. I figured we'll cross that bridge once we get to it. I have a feeling it's something I will want to do to make sure they have good teeth.

Just an update: Snickerdoodle, Fungo & Miki are slowly working their way to not having to be coerced into tasting the raw. All the others are doing a fantastic job. I did score a free pack of freeze dried chicken liver treats from BARF. They are an amazing company! I also scored free shipping for a year. Granted I have to get two packs or more, but it's at my own frequency. Thankfully we have a deep freezer that I can put them in since I have NO clue how much I'm gonna need. Each bag is 6 lbs. I do have chicken hearts that I can grind up & add to it to give them more taurine. I figure mix it all in together & they'll never know the difference.

Update: Stig ate from the spoon quite well. Still working on him taking it from the bowl. Fungo & Miki took from the spoon as well, not a lot, but enough to still get that taste to become familiar. Doodle also took from the spoon but then later regurgitated it like the drama queen she is. Everyone else took straight from the bowl without an issue.

It sounds like you are making progress! So how many proteins are they getting again now?

It depends on which patty I give them. The selection I have right now is lamb, beef, chicken or combination which has lamb, beef, chicken, & pork. I just received my most recent order from BARF & it's strictly the combination so that way they get four different proteins.

Perfect, thanks Okay, for Fungo and Miki, maybe try thinning it a wee bit for them and see how they do? I can't give just the plain commercial raw without a bit of water mixed in or they won't touch it.

Okay, I will try that to see if they like it better that way.

Snickerdoodle wanted nothing to do with the raw tonight. I got her to take a bit, but no where near what she had done before. However, Miki & Fungo took to the watered down mixture better. I gave Snickerdoodle the watered down too so maybe she doesn't like it watered down now? She's a goofball. Everyone else did fine & took from the bowl without any issue.

At this piont, it's going to be hit and miss as to who will take what. Try her with the regular and see if she prefers that!

Will do. Snickerdoodle has her good days, then she has her bad days. Such a little diva!

Yippee!!! Not only will I graduate with my bachelors in the Spring but hopefully before then I can graduate with my Raw degree!!
Miki & Fungo like it watered down. They even took it from the bowl!!! WHOO!!! Snickerdoodle once again wanted nothing to do with it. I think I'll give her the first bite tonight that way there will still be ferretone on it & that might entice her to eat it more.
In regards to having food available for Stewie, our insulinoma fert, I will look into getting freeze dried food for him & also our 8 year old, Bubbles. Bubbles has already taken to some freeze dried (that girl will eat ANYTHING it seems) it's just a matter of making sure Stewie takes to it.

For that, start by mixing a wee but into their kibble. An that's great you've found a way to get two more eating in their own!!! One more to go!

I was looking at Casey's Hidden Pantry & I noticed that the freeze dried foods don't have as much protein as say the Wysong Epigen. Do you know why that is? Which one do you prefer when it comes to freeze dried food?
