The protein amount is different because the freeze dried IS raw. Kibble is even drier than freeze dried, thus the percentages are different. As for what kind- whatever they'll eat basically. Many use the canine and feline S & C with no problems.

Okay. Good to know. :-) I do like the patties since I can cut them up & put them in their food bowls. The ZiwiPeak seems to do well with them too. Maybe I'll do a mixture.

Yep. Slow & steady for her. She's my diva so I halfway expected her to be the one to give me trouble...

So sorry that I haven't posted recently. Had a test, a paper, & then the massage board audited my CEUs so it's been a very stressful & busy week.
All are doing pretty well. I will be ordering some FD food come the 15th to work on getting them completely off the kibble (since for my older ferts will need access to food). Stig is completely on raw. No kibble or anything. He's doing pretty well with it. I do need to grind up some heart to make sure he's getting enough taurine though (I have some in my freezer).
Still working on Doodle too. I'm being patient, she's being stubborn. :-P

Not a problem about the posting ;D How comfortable do you feel with their diet and transitioning any others?

Everyone seems to be doing very well with the BARF. I'm just concerned with how much I'm going to need to leave in the cage because Bubbles, Shiro & Mimiteh go crazy for it so I want to make sure everyone gets food. I think that is why I'm going to get some FD to keep in the cage so that I know they are all getting something in their tum tums.

TBH, I feed commercial raw in the morning, and if they eat it up- they have to wait until evening to get their actual meat ;D But then- I'm a mean mamma! But leaving FD in for them is a good idea if they aren't getting RMB's

So, could you write a menu out for me on the different proteins they are getting now? And could you make it a Monday-Sunday format?

Honestly, they are getting all the same proteins every day since they have the combo patties from BARF. :-P I like to keep things simple while I'm busy with school stuff. Once I'm out of school I'll be able to play around with their diet a little bit more (& not to mention more time to focus on it too).

I've got some FD on order & should be here on Saturday. I got an email from CHP & apparently they are going to have a black Friday sale so I'll probably pick up some more then. I've been mixing what I have FD wise with what kibble I give them & they are eating it. I'll start to slowly lessen the amount of kibble with the FD. Stig is still doing very well with the BARF mixture & that's all he gets (he's easier since he's in a cage by himself). It looks like we're getting another girl though (a friend said that she has a friend that they got the ferret for their kid & the kid doesn't take care of it; they wanted to make sure she went to a good home). I would rather take in the fert & not see it in our overflowing shelters or god forbid be put up on Craigslist. DARN YOU FERRET MATH! LOL!

Congratulations!!! I still need the different proteins you are feeding, even if they are all fed daily
