1. I've heard of people giving ferrets whole baby chicks a long time ago, but it's really starting to resonate with me after being a part of Ferret Owners & Ferret Love groups on Facebook
2. I don't think I would be comfortable feeding whole prey. I have BARF patties (sample pack) & a CHP sample pack on its way.
3. I'm mad at insulinoma & want to kick its butt. Plus, being in a holistic field (massage therapist) I understand the benefits of being on a more natural diet.
4. I have the patience of a saint. I'm a Midwestern girl living on the East Coast. Believe me, I have the patience. I just hope that other people have the patience to deal with me.
5. Stewie 6 (had him all his life-Petco) M -> .02 cc of pred for low BG; melatonin for fur loss; adrenals removed.
Bubbles 8 (had her for 7 of those years) F-> enlarged spleen, but vet has not expressed any concern; adrenals removed.
Rascal 4-5 (had him for 1.5 years) M -> just got a superlorin (sp) implant in March, does have some fur loss right now so on melatonin
Fungo Squiggley 3 (had him all his life-Petco) M
Shiro 2 (over a year) M
Miki 2 (over a year) F
Snickerdoodle 2 (had her all her life-local pet store) F
Mimiteh not even 1 (just adopted her in Feb) F
6. Ferretone mixed with light olive oil, Evo ferret, Wysong Epigen 90, Totally Ferret Turkey Venison Lamb & sometimes Sheppard & Green. Treats include, bandits, beef jerky, N Bones, Zupreem dental sticks & **sigh** foamy fries.
7. Miki had with her first mom & she did not eat. It is hard to communicate with her since she is on ship duty with the US Navy in the Sea of Japan, so I don't know what she tried.
8. I definitely understand that this could be a long process, but I don't have much of a life since I'm in school & working. However, that doesn't mean I don't have time for my ferrets. I MAKE time for my ferrets. There are times that money can become tight, but I always know how to tighten my belt so I can make it work. I don't have the things you have listed (scale, etc), but I do get paid this coming week so I should be able to get most of the food supplies. I understand that this will put my application at the bottom of the list, but I still wanted to get it in to you.
9. I have my own laptop & am constantly on the interwebz.
10. I don't have any good photos of my ferrets right now, but will take pictures tomorrow & can send them.
