Thanks Katt! I think I'm good as far as raw soups and organs go now? What do you think? I doubt the store will take the cod liver oil back, and the thought of consuming it myself... blech! I'm sure I'll find some use for it at some point, it has a pretty long expiry date on it. Maybe I'll just hold onto it in case they ever decide to refuse organs again. They've been pretty good girls overall to switch to raw though so I suppose I really can't complain I still haven't gotten around to trying out some pinkies, they are quite $$$ and I'm currently trying to round up enough money to re-stock my freezer for them as it is (poor ferrets, I've just been feeding them whatever is left in the freezer, trying to make it last as long as possible before I have to spend some serious $ and buy more of everything). The Petsmart next to my work sells pinkies (they're by a company called Feeder Express - can't really find any info on them online though). Are any frozen mice/rats that are sold for reptiles generally high enough quality for ferret consumption? It doesnt say anything on the box about what they feed them or give them.

You are welcome! I like working with you and your girls. I think you are good! I will tell Heather to re-graduate you! I was going to earlier but I was out of town and had limited internet - trying to get the wifi password from my dad was like pulling teeth! If it is unopened they should take it back. It wouldn't hurt to try... They did very well! It helps when they are young. Older guys just get stuck in their ways... Hey no worries there! I have been there before. Yes indeed! That is what I feed my boys. They get f/t rodents from my reptile feeder supplier. Then they also get live mice from the pet store, and live/frozen mice that I have bred. If you do eventually get to live prey, I recommend breeding your own mice as it is very cost effective and you know you are getting fat healthy mice fed a high quality diet. If I start to get too many mice, I let the boys kill a bunch for me, give them a few for a meal, and then freeze some for later. Even if you just feed f/t you can CO2 the mice, but I don't like doing that, I find that the ferrets tend to be much more humane IME/IMO. Just things to consider. *shrugs* Thanks for working with me again! It was fun!
