Does anyone have a good video of their hob in rut, doing his sexy ferret thang? you know, dragging around the other ferret, whatever it is they do. Not the actual mating itself per say, I don't care about that.
I think Murder is honestly having hormonal surges like he was in rut with how he has been acting.

I think Mikey does...I seem to recall him posting some stuff about Finn when he was in rutt, singing his hob song and whatnot. I'm not sure if he got any of Finn dragging Fiona around.

Is it possible for Murder to be displaying adrenal aggression?

Thinking about it more, would a ferret with a hormonal surge/adrenal aggression act aggressive towards specific ferrets, or everyone? It honestly seems like he just doesn't like the newbies for whatever reason

They seem to prefer specific ferrets when being sexually aggressive. I know that Captain Jack preferred Napoleon. Fun-Go seems to prefer Natasha. Azrael appears to prefer Atreyu but then Minion will beat on him so I don't know if it's preference or just self preservation ciao

My adrenal ferrets also preferred specific ferrets. And yes- it's Mikeybox who has those videos. However, we do have some videos of adrenal mounting behaviour in the adrenal sub board in health and medical.

I'll check the adrenal ones too later. It would be odd for a ferret barely over a year old to have adrenal symptoms, but certainly not impossible in the mill ferrets. I'm almost tempted to get an x ray or ultrasound or whatever is needed to get a look at his glands to see if there are any tumors growing or what have you.

I'm not sure, but Katts Koda was like 1.5 years old when he was diagnosed.

Unfortunately, the youngest I've heard of was only 7 months old Yurei- if the adrenal tumors are still small, they won't show in an ultrasound or an xray yet. But it would be a good base line.

Would you suggest a lupron trial for at least 3 months for the h*** of it to see if his attitude changes any? I believe it won't hurt him if I'm wrong? Our vet is not the cheapest but I don' *think* the shots would be too expensive.

If he's showing adrenal related aggression, talk to the vet about a trial. Most aren't averse to it, and no it won't hurt him if he's not.
