Hey guys. My 4 ferrets still aren't quite as energetic as they used to be. I notice they lost interest in all the toys we have. But if they hear a new noise, they get excited.
So I want to find some new and good ferret toys. Some that make noise or move and some that squeak, etc.
What are some of your ferret(s) favorite toys?

Me. They also enjoy squeaky stuffed animals such as the stuffingless skineeze toys. I mix things up by taking them for a walk occasionally or letting them play in a tub of water with some toys bobbing. Crinkling brown packing paper (or news paper) is a big hit here as are tissue boxes and oatmeal cardboard canister tubes. Jingling balls, cat wand/teasers are good too. The key I think is to rotate their toys occasionally.

I'm not sure what it's called, but is like a ball that rolls around with a fluffy tail on the end. It takes battery's and just rounds around on it's own.
Try googling Wacky Crazy Weasel Weazel Ball Pet Cat Dog Toy and see what I'm talking about

I use to use squeaky toys for my hearing babies cause they always came to see what was going on when I squeaked them, but I don't use them anymore. I have learned that it isn't the toy they are interested in, it's the squeak, and they DON"T LIKE IT. I've found that whenever I squeak a squeaky toy they run to it, cover it, and protect it. I'm thinking that maybe it kinda sounds like a baby ferret crying/squeaking, and it stresses them out. So yeah, no more squeaky toys in this house.

Thanks for the ideas.
Yurei - those are pretty much what we have and it's just not doing it lately. Even when I try play with them, they play for a couple seconds, then flat ferret.
Jackie - that looks pretty cool!
ferreholic - I always wondered about that, but my guys tend to jump to bite it, pull it dad, then they rub their back legs against it like they are attacking it. So I don't know. We have plenty of squeak toys as it is, that they have lost interest in.
Just wasn't sure if there were other more interactive toys than normal stuffed squeakies.
One that they are semi-interested in is some of those jingle ball toys, except I got these at the dollar store and they are large, like a softball then they have one of the small jingle toys inside with the jingle bell inside that. Despite us having tons of the small ones, Lincoln and Bonkers love the large ones lol

I have these little hamster toys that have wheels underneath. You roll them backwards and it winds up, let go and they go shooting across the floor. One of them even changes direction half way through. I think they're called Zhu Zhu pets? Mine also really like the vibrating toys, I have one that looks like a big mouse and if you pull the tail and set it on the floor it buzzes itself across the room. Dig boxes are always fun. Mine also like crinkle tunnels.

I was able to find one time a cat wand toy where the mouse would squeak at the slightest touch. Wish I could find another because that one drove them nuts ;D

houseofallergies - Thanks We plan on getting some sort of flexible/sturdy tunnel once we move. We have a cat condo we can wrap it around, as well as an entry bench which is home to the ferrets now ;D

We've rapped it completely around one of our rocking chairs, around/over the kitchen table, in /out of the playpen........ The options are limitless. Only bad thing is once expanded it doesn't go back.
I got the idea from the tunnel towers but realized how quickly they would be bored with one of those.

Interesting you say this because I have a squeaky hippo and whenever I would squeak it Bear would go crazy! However one time I was squeaking it he lunged at it and then took two steps back and pooped! I think I made him mad He had NEVER pooped on my rug before, so needless to say I don't play with him with that particular toy anymore.

Sushi likes it when I throw her into a thick plastic shopping bag and throw in a few toys and bags in there or stuffed animals with her, close the top off tightly with my hand and shake, rattle, bounce her off of pillows, and lightly drag across the floor and shake some more. She jumps out of the bag weasel war dancing and dooking up a storm, then goes running around in a circle and climbs straight back inside the bag again for me to do it to her again. ;D If you have more than one weasel, throw two or three into the bag at a time and shake, rattle, and drag the bag and I bet you they will come out weasel war dancing and pouncing and wrestling each other. Bags of fun!

For simple toys- towel drags always gets ours worked up. They seem to approach it as though it were a mobile wrestling mat ;D

Sherry whatever happened to that toy you borrowed from a client? It was like a ball that made sound when you touched it? ;D

Oh yes, cardboard box mazes/towers are excellent as well and cheap to make.
