Now, see, two more I know I cannot do right now. If it were just the two left, though, I don't think I could take him and leave one all alone. Aren't I just ridiculous? And Paulie just did one of his "Upside down curl ups" on my hand when I went to snuggle him. I love Paulie so much, life without him would be dull. The important thing is he makes me happy, and I take care of him, and at least I've given him a loving lovely home (and a drawer, and an FN, and my Browns snuggie and pink robe, and .... this could go on and on).

BUT the other one wouldn't be alone for very long, they will get more in. Plus someone would probably come along and buy the last one pretty quickly. Ferrets seem to sell pretty quickly. You better go over there today and make sure someone hasnt' bought YOUR baby.

Hey just remember ,although ferret math can be very hard on a person, you could use that money you were gonna buy that kit with for little paulie. You could spoil Paulie even more with that money. I know that I may sound like a party pooper but you just think about it. Yes ,if you are wondering this is the same logic my hubby tries to force upon me also. It has worked so far. When the time is right for Paulie a new friend then have at it. I was actually gigglin at a lady a little while back as she was playing with a kit in petco. She kinda looked at me funny. In my mind I was saying to myself, " Ahhh, ferret math has claimed a new victim". Keep strong.

:)Lol. Hey now. I just know what it feels like to want a ferret soooo bad that you cant hardly stand it, and then an emergency come up or what ever and money being tight. Ive been sucked into ferret math also before. I had a new baby ferret one week and then within 8 days I had a baby and a 1 1/2 year old. I totally understand.

She could use that $ to spoil Paulie. But I mean, he is already about as spoiled as it gets. The only way left to spoil him is to buy him a new friend! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Hahahahahahaha That said, emergencies do happen so one must be prepared, and everyone has different limits. It does no good getting a new animal if you cannot care for them! *shakes head sadly*Blah blah blah. I know that she will make the right choice for both herself and Paulie whether it is to bring the kit home, or to let him stay and find a home with someone else. Sooo.....where are our kit pictures?!?! ;D

Well, Paulie and I did not make an outing. I had a massive headache until work and I have class in an hour now. During my headache, rational brain brought out the big guns--my budget for April, May, and June. As much as the "Sully/Solly" kit cries to my heart, unless my work hours change more in the next week I fear I must wish him a home that knows what a joy they've just found. I just got offered 3 more hours a week (in May it could be 5 more), but that's really not enough (in the event of a ferret emergency) when I'm on fixed budget +10 hours/week work until summer camp starts in mid June. What I can do, is spend a little money now and start setting aside for a kit/shelter baby, get a second set of bowls, hammies, etc started. Then I can be ready when the next soul ferret says "Pick me this time." I was sidelined by this guy and unprepared to be sucked in (isn't that always the way). For all I know, Sully is someone else's soul ferret, maybe someone who is missing the patter or furry feet or someone who will soon have ferrets the rest of their life. Maybe I was meant to be there to get the one woman who'd lost her elder a while back to pick two. She was in love with "Black Nose" but wanted a cuddly boy. I was there to observe how they played together and commented on what great friends they seemed. She was asking me all the right questions about my own ferret too (how big is his cage, how often is he out, where do you vet). She almost took home two ferrets (but also tried to get me to take him home to make her choice easier). All bets are off if I win the lottery or he's still there in two weeks or so. The older they get the harder the sell, and he is too cool to get sent back to Marshall's. He even looks so healthy and well formed for an MF ferret.

I know that what you are doing is what is best. You know what you are able to handle and that is the important thing. That, and of course the MOST important thing is the little fuzz on your lap who loves you with all of his might already. I know you will find another heart ferret when the time is right.

I know it is so hard, but if this is what you think is best, it probably is. I know when I want another fuzz, I'll use ANY excuse in the world to rationalize it. Now, I have no way to justify it because with the military going on for Hubby, these four will be enough for a long while

You have to do what's best for you and Paulie, and it sounds like now isn't the best time to add to your business. I know you'll find your heart ferret when the time is right
