You could always take Paulie in and see if he gets along with baby. If he doesn't- problem solved. If he does- you are in exactly the same place you are right now

I did think of that Sherry. If my brain is still on it tomorrow that is what I will do. This summer, if my job was solid and I knew my funding for next year, I had planned to do the "shelter visit" to see how interested Paulie was in socialization anyway (that always puts you at risk of bringing home the bonded pair, right?). However, ferret math brain named the booger already. Ferret math brain says his name is Sully (short for Solomon or Sullivan, it can't choose--which is good). This is of course, an awesome ferret name for any fuzz, I've now decided. Sully the snorkeler, harhar. I'm such a sucker. Chances are good Paulie was following me around because it was laundry day. He gets very fascinated when I go through all the trouble of moving clothes around and then don't even bother to sleep in them.

Or he read your mind, knew the ferret math brain was going into high gear, and was telling you he agrees

I think "Sully" is also telling me, "Don't let that weird guy who asked his wife to let him buy a ferret after the bills were paid come back and name me some weird Russian name." Okay, my financing card for the computer just came in. If the stars align this week things will be interesting.

No, LOL. Then I had an awful day at work today. Paulie and I may have an outing tomorrow. In the very least, then I can see how he reacts to other ferrets after all this time. We'll go get a toy at least (I always feel better when I get Paulie something, haha) My enabling friend here in East Lansing is not helping either! Hehe.

I love baby furs. I really have no willpower either. Once, when I did drag myself away, I cried. There was a little kissy dew at the store and she kissed me. I wanted her so much, but there was no way I could have had her. I hope she went to someone wonderful!

Ha! Don't be so sure of yourself. I've walked away before, in fact I had walked away when I first saw Raphael. I was ADAMANT that we were NOT getting any more weasles because we are getting a skunk this summer. Well a few days later my husband, kids and I were playing a game at the table and my daughter brought the ferrets up. An hour later he was in our house. LOL!

I feel like I missed a bunch of these posts before I posted this. Maybe I only saw page one... Anyway, as I see from these posts you have one foot out the door and one on a banana peel heading right for that baby. Make sure you send pics as soon as you get home with him tomorrow.

Heather, that "chanting" cracks me up.
Sherry, she was encouraging me tonight (has class tomorrow, haha). She says he would make me and Paulie happy (which is true).
I am the world's worst decision maker is part of it, mostly because I can think of every consequence in the book. But, as Heather said back at the beginning, I'll do whatever's right for Paulie and I--its an important balance. Or the little fella' already has a home even now (and if he does, may it be a wonderful forever one). I have a soft spot for those chunky boys, so when I bring home that playmate it will like be one, hehe. You know this is one of the few times I hate being a grad student? Gainfully employed and there would have been no thoughts about bringing him home yesterday-he'd be here.
