But I'm not jumping up and down for glee just yet. The second time I posted an ad on Craigslist I received two replies, here's my ad if you want to see it - (haha, high-protein, grain-free - RAW): portland.craigslist.org/clk/pet/2229554927.htmlThe first reply was this: I have a approx 12 month old ferret that I am unfortunately needing to part with. I rescued him this spring, and now am unable to keep him. I am between jobs, and staying with friends. He is a good pet, loves kids. I simply want him to go to a good home. Cage, and all that I have is free to a good home. If you are interested, let me know. I am currently in Battle Ground. Kind Regards, - - - Second came with a video! Hi, I saw your ad on CL re Ferrets. Please view this youtube link if you can? I need a home for my two boys. Video explains. Sooner the better. I have two cages and can give you the smaller one(first shown in video...blue and white) with them/ for free if you are willing to pick them up? I do not have a working car. I live 10 minutes east of 205 (off Division St)in Portland. Evan(best to call - not near a pc most of day) Hope to hear from you, (phone number) Going to present all this to DH, but again, not jumping up and down as I've had these fall through too many times and let myself get devastated - think good thoughts/prayers towards us though!

Thank you, guys. I am kind of excited just trying to tone myself down because of the spin cycle I've been in over this... Just waiting to hear back from the first person now and if we're to call the second it'll have to be tomorrow because it's way too late.

I have e-mailed the guy and heard back once, he told me the sad story about how he found the ferret almost starved to death. I wrote him back today about setting up a time to meet, he is also still supposed to send me pictures, and I haven't heard back from him just yet.

Keep looking- she/he will need a buddy It's a he. This fert has been a single fuzz all his life, so he may not accept other ferrets and if so that's okay with me. I'd rather start out with a single anyway, though if it had ended up being three I wouldn't have minded. To me three is the perfect ferret number if a body is going to have more than one (I still haven't decided how many we'll have, I want to keep ends open to help any in need I come across), I'm going to work very hard at keeping ferret math from taking hold. Starting with two as I did at once was overwhelming so one would be a good re-introduction. It was truly funny watching them both bolt across the room on opposite sides when opening the cage door - like little furry cannonballs. It was as if they were saying, "Put me in a new room, will you?"
