If you're planning on switching to raw, you can sign up for a mentor. They'll help you one on one with the process. You have to have ferrets to sign up, though.

Thank you for the warm welcomes everyone ! I couldn't find my camera, but do not worry ! I have my cellphone, but please remember with a cell phone, comes crappy quality, LOL Here are three pics of the new guys, if you want to know which is which, I couldn't tell you, LOL ! Just peeking out of my dresser drawer after waking up ! Sound asleep & again I came in my room & I couldn't find them anywhere last night. I looked under my dresser, under the bed, under the blankets, EVERYWHERE. I than decided to open my drawer, surely enough they climber under & up & made there way into my clothes in my dresser, they were quite cozy LOL ! I love them, it was an interested first night, that's for sure. They were stashing little bits of their food in the corner of my room & my brother was giving them little pieces. Than I'm not sure what happened, but the ferret grabbed my brothers finger & did NOT want to let go, he had to pry the ferret off. He was bleeding. But what I don't understand is, why did the ferret do this? Is it because my brothers fingers smelt like food ? Or maybe they are food aggressive ? They than wandered out of my room, courtesy of my mom opening the door & the older one tried to eat her persian kitten. He like latched himself onto her. It wasn't pretty. The cats fine, but is it because the cat is so small ? She's a really small cat, well kitten. Other than that, they are both super friendly. The previous owner had them with her cats & they got along great apparently & they have never bit anyone she said. They are new though, so I'm not holding anything against them I think they were just trying to play maybe. I hope. LOL. I love them, bottom line I just went into my room to check on them & they were sleeping in my snuggy. LOL.

Super cute pixs!
As for the biting, it could have been out of play, or an accident. For biting, you can use time outs (1-5 mins) whenever they bite. Make sure you are consistent and quick to discipline.
As for the kitten, he might have just been playing. Ferrets play rough. Again, for play that is too rough, you can use time outs.

The ferret HELD onto my brothers finger, my brother was bleeding & had to pry the ferret off, is that normally how they play ? I did read that they play like that with other ferrets, because ferret hide is tougher than animal skin. Is that true ? I noticed they can be quite rough when they get playing, I think it's cute ! LOL ! How do I give them a timeout ? Lock them back in there cage ? Thank you !

Time outs work best in an area separate from their cage. No bedding, no nothing. A cat carrier usually works well. Only use time out if they just did it, and only for short periods of time. Or else they'll forget why they're in there :-)

The ferret might not be trained to play softly. Did he do it while he want war dancing or jumping around?
