MoJo! I saw this little guy and was a goner. Maybe this sounds corny, but there was just something in his eyes! I brought him home around 8pm tonight, and we've been getting to know one another ;D He is about 9 weeks old (was born on Nov 28th!) and a Marshalls'. He's a sweetheart, who has a penchant for power towell rolls His nails need a trim, badly!! I will do that tomorrow once he's settled in more! I did prepare him soupies (what a production that was!! ;D ;D) which he LOVED!! That was a plus! I am going to hop on over and sign up for the mentoring program tonight at some point! But my one quick question now is, since he likes the soupie so much, should I still leave some kibble in overnight, or leave some soupie in instead??

Aww grats! What a cutie.
If he's eating soupies on his own, there's no reason to keep giving him kibble. I'd just leave the soup in the cage.

OH GOD BABY FERT FACE He's adorable, and I agree - I'd just put the soup in and nix the kibble, personally.

O.o cute fuzzy baby fuzzz!!!! OMG!! what cute little squishyness!!!! I want one!!! but then again DH still hasn't noticed #10 so I'm not going to push my luck!!
No! No kibble for him (as said like the soup nazi from Seinfeld) hey if he eats the soups feed him soups! Babies are tummies with mouths as Heather has said before...I'd be tempted to try some ground or small chunks/minced meat....

Yeah I didn't use soup for my first two. They were 8 and 12 weeks old when I got them and I just gave them chunks when I got them home and switched them to whole prey a couple days after that. Babies have sharp teeth and are more than capable of handling themselves when it comes to eating =P

I was a bit worried about giving him anything too chunky!! I gave him some more soup that was thicker, he seemed a little less enthusiastic, but he also might have been getting a bit full!! I will definitely try some ground meat tomorrow, I bought some yesterday!
He really won't have a problem with bone at this age? He's just a tiny little thing! The picture doesn't do him justice, he's adorable! Im in love with the little guy already(:

Worst you can do is offer bone. Better to start introducing him to all the new foods you can while he's still young. They can easily handle small animal bones like mice and rats and even larger bones like chicken wing. This is mango at 8 weeks working on a chuck of chicken containing bone her second day with me:

What an adorable little boy. I so want to snuggle baby ferts. Give him whatever he will eat. Yes, let him have boned meats, the sooner the better. They will eat just about anything. As mentioned by Rose...furry tummies with teeth and of course the famous one that Napoleon was for Sherrylynne, you have to love the video...what a food battle. Now that little silver isn't deaf now is he/she....I would almost bet that the little one is. What a little mouthpiece Of course you can't tell without testing but colour plus the high pitched screams rather than the low level snarking that the hearing fuzzes make when fighting about food. ciao

What an adorable little baby!!!! Soo cute!! So glad he took to soup so quickly. If you're feeding soup, make sure to feed often (3x times a day) and feed as much as he will eat.
