I will definitely move to some bone meats...I didn't think he'd take to them so quick! I'll have to run out and get some (:
I think I'm going to place an order at Hare Today...any suggestions? I'm definitely going to get some mice! I was thinking more raw than whole prey, but I will definitely look into the quail!

I think most on line places have variety packs. Those are a really good idea, because they'll give you an idea of what fuzz will accept without spending a ton of cash, and having meat they won't touch in the freezer.

I tried some ground lamb, he sniffed around but no bite! I dabbed a bit on his nose but he simply ignored ot! So i mixed it with his soupie, and he did eat some, but i can tell he tried to eat around the lamb.
I cleaned that out and put just soupie in, a bit thicker than before. He loves to eat it off my fingers, when he gets a chunk he gets this confused look on his face and carries it off a ways before eating. So this far hes done well! ;D
I think he just doesnt have a taste for lamb yet!

Try mixing the lamb with a meat he's familiar with already. You can also add some oil/tone to make it more appealing.

Just give him some real meat (and bones!) with the soupies poured over it. Forget kibble. Kits will eat just about anything you put in their dish. Congrats by the way he is adorable! I was looking at a little one that looked almost exactly like him just last night. There was also a gorgeous silver panda! I had to draaag my self away!

Haha awww They're so hard to resist....I was looking around for the last few weeks and he and I just clicked I did actually mix the lamb with his soupie, which was chicken meat! Maybe I should try mixing chunks of chicken with the lamb??? I gave him some chunks of chicken meat, the first piece was a bit big and he really had to work at it (he hacked a bit at one point and nearly gave me a heart attack, I thought he was choking) But that was also the piece that I dropped and as I went to pick it up, he smacked my hand with his paw as if to say "NO, mom, that's MINE!" hahaha ;D He ate about half of what I put in the bowl, then decided it was time to play! ;D

He's still doing really good.. ate more of the chicken chunks I'm going to run to the store tomorrow to get him some more bone-in meats!! He's completely won over my mom ;D She was a little leery of him, afraid he would bite too hard. But he curled up in her sweatshirt and snuggled with her for a bit, and she fell for him just as much as I did

Also try to get some new protein sources, so he gets familiar with a wide variety meats.
