Would the stress or possible infection poo include lethargy? Archer had some poo that was not solid & he is not his normal self (we ARE his third home this month alone; just got him last Tuesday, ADV test results negative & was fine up until today). We have a vet appointment on Wedesday (that's the earliest I could go) for something else, but it looks like it might be just him getting checked out.

Anything can trigger lethargy in a ferret. If he is stressed, he's sleeping so he doesn't have to deal with things. Some rescue remedy certainly wouldn't hurt in helping this little guy cope. And as he is in a raw switch, if he eats kibble/raw too close together that can do it too.

I really haven't stressed raw with him yet because I didn't want to stress him out. This is the second time I've heard of the rescue remedy today (I've never heard of it prior to today) so I might have to look into it. I've never had a ferret get stressed out like this before, but then again, I've never had a fert bounce between homes so quickly.

Blood in stool is black unless it is from the outer parts(anus) Cannot tell is there a bit of mucous/jelly like substance there? Watch further poops, mine have them like this when they switch meats to one they aren't used to.

If the antibiotics haven't helped her prolapse(and if it's wet and looks sore that's what it likely is), she may need a different type. In the interim, you can try putting on some white sugar and holding her for about 10 minutes so she can't lick it.

Hunter had a very undigested poop today, and a bit of a cough. His cough was for a short period of time after I woke him up, seemed like hair or something was bothering him. I gave him a bit of oil and it subsided, hubby is at the store now getting pumpkin because of course I ran out when I need it Hope it is temporary

Bright red is unusual. Heavy blood meal would be reddish black

My Guy Frank has always had seedy loose stools, I don't think he is sick I have been feeding mostly raw for about a month or so, but I got him at an older approx 4.5 year old and he had been fed and taken care of awfully his whole life, from all I have read I think he just may not absorb his nutrients properly but am unsure if I can do anything better or different for him? He is my little rescue and my first ever ferret and I love him so, any suggestions?? Thank you

we're getting weird poops here these last 2 days, they look much like a chocolate milkshake- colour and consistency (sorry for the foody description ) And I saw a spot of blood (or what I thought was blood) in Sonya's urine? They both seem totally fine... Should I be worried?

If you found blood in your little ones urine it is something to be worried about. She could have an infection. The weird colours? Have you changed anything in their diet? ciao

They got into some whiskas food when we were visiting my moms so Im assuming that is what changed the poop colour and consistency... They seem to be having semi normal poops again thanks to some trusty pumpkin. As for the mysterious pee, there was a drop of diluted red fluid in her little pee puddle on the lino once out of the 10 or so times peeing there. Is this something I should rush to the vet for or just keep an eye on her?
