I gave them 5oz again last night just to be sure and they ate 3.4oz so about the same as last time. Seems like 4oz their number for the moment.
I also freeze the soup in about 1oz chunks in an ice cube tray. Then I baggy them all up and take out a few for the day, As of late i've been doing 4oz during the day and then 5oz at night which will now go down to 4oz. Sometimes I try to give them more than 4 oz during the day but they don't often eat it. I've been feeding with one bowl during they day because it's rare they are interested in food at the same times, and then at night I feed them from two bowls so they can have their own. Sometimes it works out that way but other times as Akira seems to get this idea that Usagi has something better in her bowl lol and slides her way over to eat there instead which is kinda hard to share from so then Usagi uses the fact that she's bigger to just block all the food in which Akira gives up and just waits till usagi is done eating and then helps herself lol. I feed them in a small area because they seem to eat better that way but i'm thinking about moving it somewhere a little more comfortable for the both of them. I'm right above you in GA so it's also pretty hot here these days.

Food fights are a GREAT sign that they like their food! Haha It’s hard to tug-of-war over soupies so bowl fights are fair game. hahaha

I guess they like where moved their food or something. I left them their 4oz for the night, I ended up staying up a bit later that I meant to so I checked on them before bed again and I noticed they at it all already. So I just put in 1.5oz assuming they wouldn't eat it but it turns out they ate that too. So a total of 5.5oz last night.

Hungry girls! And growing! both gained weight. Nice work, momma!
So now that they are eating soup for every meal, let's up the game. Try adding in slivers of meat. Keep them long and thin, like spaghetti. Some people top the slivers with soup. Some mix them into the soup. Give it a go!

What meat should I use, chicken thigh?

Chicken thigh or leg is fine. Whatever you have been using in the soup would be fine.

So i'm not sure if I did the "spaghetti" right, I envisioned it going a lot better than when I actually started. How does this look? I placed my index finger by some of the slivers for scale. I also wasn't sure how much to give them? I did 2oz of slivers and 2oz of soup. 4oz of food total. 1. Ferret's name: Akira 2. Ferret's weight: 3. Ferret's Daily Medications: None 4. Your slivers are perfect! The amount you did is fine. We will experiment until they are eating them. Fingers crossed they love them!

They didn't really go for it. I left them 4oz and they ate 1.6oz seemingly just the soupy parts. Before I went back to the soupier soup they would eat slivers during the day but I would have to coach them into it and they wouldn't eat much of it, and they have never seem to have interest in eating slivers at night so far.

Ok. We can back off a step and just add one or two slivers hidden in the soup. Doesn't need to be much. Just a few in each bowl. If they are all covered they might just mistake them for soup.
Not really a bit deal -- they are doing great eating soup!! The hot weather we have been having I am sure they are appreciating the extra water it gives them. Mine really stopped drinking much water when they switched to full raw. Have you noticed a difference?

I tried them again during the day to see if they would munch on the meat but they mostly just ate around it Akira might have had a bite of the slivers too but i'm not sure. i'll let you know how the cut back goes.
Actually I have noticed that I was starting to worry.

I gave them 5oz (with slivers) of food last night since they didn't eat at much during the day and I plopped in maybe 8 slivers (4 per bowl) All the soup was gone and there was about 3-4 slivers left in one of the bowls. If I had to guess I bet Akira ate the slivers that were eaten but i'm not positive. I'll probably do 4oz this after noon with about 8 slivers again.

Excellent! Keep exposing them to the slivers. Usually one will learn quicker than another. It’s ok. You are doing great!
