They seemed pretty peeved last night that there was no kibble but the soup was all gone by morning, about 2 oz worth between the two of them.I assume moving forward this means kibble is out and soup is in.

If there was nothing left, give more. You might find they fill up since they are now on meat only. Mine ate about three to four ounces each feeding (2 a day) in the beginning. Then it leveled off to about 2 ounces each feeding per ferret. Wonderful success!!

Excellent. I would back down many to five ounces. I have found mine eat more in the evening and overnight than during the day so keep that in mind. Yours might be similar.

I agree mine seem to like to eat over night and then around 3-5pm before they go down for a major nap.

Looks like trying 4 ounces might do the trick.
I freeze my meat in one ounce chunks. Then I pull out four to defrost for each meal. While I put two in each bowl I realize they don't see that this is meant for one each but at least they both can choose to eat alone if they wanted. With the heat in my area lately mine have been eating less than the four ounces and there are times when I have left three ounces and they have been fine. My two are boys, by the way, and they tend to eat more than girls.
