I'd keep one meal of leg, one wing, one neck, and one gizzard(simply because most ferrets love them ). Replace accordingly. Straight muscle with other muscle like pork, beef, etc. Bone in meals(other neck meals) replace with bone in from rabbit, duck necks, quail, mice(if you want to do whole prey) etc. As for soup, if they will eat the chunks of heart, liver, and kidney well(make sure all are eating them) then chunk is fine. I had one who would hover up everyone's portion of liver and leave the heart and kidney given a choice. So it will come down to knowing what each will eat well. If they don't, then go for soup for now.

Yes, ma'am! I already ordered rabbit and duck on hare-today. I can replace those chicken meals by pork and veal, but I am thinking that turkey/rabbit/duck/mice are better proteins for ferrets since this is what they eat in a wild. Please correct me if I was wrong.

OK, I will go deer hunting:)))
meanwhile I offered them some pork this morning. The boys used to eat it before, but today all of them refused it! I silvered it and added some chicken liver juice. Choco licked some of it, but Ruby and Milky did not. I gave up and fed them chicken necks - I did not have time this morning to blend pork soup. Will make such a soup tonight.

You can also at this point just cut the slivers of the new protein and mix a few into a regular meat. They will eventually eat the new one as well.

Tried that..only Choco is eating pork, the others pick only chicken. Should I keep trying? This morning I made pork/liver soup. Ruby had just 6 tsp for breakfast (I had to scruff&stuff her) At night she ate 1 oz from a bawl, but I had to spoon feed her to start. The boys are eating soup without any problem.

I am thinking that probably pork is not a good protein for them? They hate it, but eat turkey without any problem (had turkey leg for breakfast and dinner today)

It can take a while for them to get used to stronger proteins. However you can try them with different ones and leave pork until later Try beef, or lamb, etc.

Everything is OK. They play a lot, shed a lot. Lost some weight, especially Milky. He is skinniest one. Ruby lost about 30 grams. She used to be 710-720 g, now she is about 680.

Forgot to ask about eggs! Is it a good idea?

Eggs? Eggs are an excellent idea year round. I give one a week normally, and two during shed.

I gave them eggs this morning. Choco and Milky had 3 between them, and I had to spoon feed Ruby (she had about 1 egg with half tsp of fish oil. But this evening she is sleepy. She refused to go for evening walk. I took her out of the cage, and she went to take a nap under a couch. Do I have to worry about her? Someone vomited at upper shelf in the cage. It might be Ruby.
