For Ruby, 1 tsp is 5ml. So if her average for a day is one ounce that means for one meal she needs to eat one TABLESPOON. If she eats more in a day of regular meats, then the amount of liver/kidney puree has to be increased accordingly. Sherry, are you saying that I should feed Ruby gizzards and liver to make up for that amount of kidneys she refused to eat?

An organ meal is made of 50% liver, and 50% other organ. So puree together HALF liver and HALF kidney. Gizzard is not an organ. It is a muscle meat.

And as I said- start cutting the cream back now. It is meant as a VERY short term lure since they are lactose intolerant.

OK, next time will mix kidneys with liver only. Today my ferrets ate chicken necks. One of them I sliced, the other I did not. They finished two of them. Tonight they had chicken legs (cornish hen). They are still working on them:) Poop is very dark, almost black and well formed.

Last night my fuzz butts ate all chicken legs, but left the bones. They ate up all the cartridge from both sides and chewed up some bones exposing marrow at the ends.

This morning they got cornish hen breast (with that soft front bone that is almost like a cartridge) Finished up everything: meat, skin, and bone. Choco's poop is yellow and not well formed (I have seen him doing it). May be someone else (besides Choco) is pooping out yellow liquid stuff - I just saw lots of it in litter tray. Cannot tell for sure to whom this poop belongs to. It is not a complete liquid - it is like a sour cream consistency.

That sounds like an egg poop almost. But given it is CGH breast they ate I am not too surprised Stool change depending on the protein as well as age of the protein.

Huray- Ruby is eating kidney/liver soup! She had 2 tsp for dinner and 7 tsp for breakfast. I mixed 2 oz of kidneys and 3 oz of liver to make it more acceptable for my special girl. And I added 1 tsp of fish oil. The boys had about 2 oz each, for each meal. Today they poop out black liquid.

Ooops... I found some kind of white & yellow stuff in my underware drawer where Choco was sleeping after his morning walk. Probably my poor boy was vomiting? It looks like yogurt and smells like human food, not vomit - something like milk and cookies. It is not a lot, approx 1-2 tsp.
All my ferrets seem to be OK. They eat well, play a lot.

Hard to say what it is. Likely someone had a bit of fur stuck in the throat or some such and it triggered vomiting. Odds are it's a one off. And good for Ruby! Let's work on her having it half and half next time to see how she does. Now, can you give me a sample Monday to Sunday menu of what they are presently eating?

Not to bad! Bone is good, and most of the heart, liver/organ you need Just really need to get more variety in there as there is way too much chicken. By the end we will only have a max of 4 chicken meals for the week(not including heart/organs). A couple of suggestions. Do one meal of half heart, 1/4 liver, 1/4 other organ in place of the chicken breast on Wednesday.

Thank you, Sherry! Will do half heart, 1/4 liver, 1/4 other organ next Wed. Does it have to be in a form of soup (assuming they eat all ingredients themselves)
