Hello my dear so for your menu when you feed the turkey wings on specified days can you feed half and half beef/turkey wings. If you could specify it on the menu and I will resubmit the menu for your graduation.
1. What are some good emergency taurine sources if you run out of heart? Ferrets need 500mg of taurine of which 250mg is served in the morning and 250mg is served at night and is only used in emergency settings. SO THIS QUESTION ISN'T ASKING FOR THE AMOUNT THEY ARE ASKING FOR THE SOURCES IE. TONGUE AND OR A POWDERED TAURINE SUPPLEMENT. 2. Your ferret's stools are loose/soft. What is this a sign of and how can you adjust to fix it? well the poop would be harder to pick up/scoop and or runny.. as to fixing it im not to sure... maybe increase his bone? YES, INCREASING BONE WILL HELP WITH SOFTER STOOLS. 3. Your ferret is constipated and his stools are very hard and dry. What is this a sign of and how can you adjust to fix it? struggling to poop and or not having any bowel movements. as for fixing it if it has to do with to much bone.. im not to sure on how to fix it. IF IT HAS TO DO WITH TOO MUCH BONE ADJUST THE BONE CONTENT OF THAT WEEK REPLACE A BONE IN MEAL WITH A MUSCLE MEAL TILL STOOLS GO BACK TO NORMAL.
4.How many meals a week should be organ, and of those meals how much needs to be liver? 3 meals 2 of which has to be liver ORGANS ARE 1.5 MEALS LIVER IS 5% PERCENT OF THE DIET. 5. How many different proteins does a ferret need in a week at a Minimum? 4 CLOSE! 3 IS THE MINIMUM BUT THE MORE THE BETTER SO THEY DON'T GET DEPENDENT ON ONE PROTEIN. 6. Is it best to feed the egg whites, egg yolk, or the entire egg? Entire Egg 7. How much and how often can egg be fed? once a week IF YOUR BABY IS SHEDDING YOU CAN UP IT TO TWO A WEEK 8.What is a healthy diet item that can be used for hairballs, and his often should you give it?
egg and i believe I have heard salmon.. but maybe I am mixing that up YES! OILS CAN BE USED AS LAXATIVES AS WELL. SALMON OIL WOULD BE HEALTHIER THAN OTHER OILS FOR HAIR BALLS. 9.Are leaner meats better for your ferret or fattier meats? Fattier as they need the higher fartty meats for energy
Congratulations :goodjob: You've graduated and you're ready to walk this path alone. You have the foundation to help you feed your fuzzes in a more natural and healthy manner. Please remember that your learning never stops, and dietary needs change from ferret to ferret and throughout each their lives. I would like you to be aware that though you now have the capability and the knowledge to create your little ones diets you are never alone and that your mentor (you need only pm) is always available to you. The list is also a very good resource and you should always be aware that it's available to answer any questions you may have either about diet or care. I would like to also take this time to offer a bit of a warning in that your menu is bone heavy. Watch your guys stools for a lot of bone residue or dryness. As previously mentioned each ferret is different in their requirements. To feed a meal this bone heavy would cause trouble for a couple of my guys but my younger ferrets would take to this without much issue. Keep an eye on them and know you're in a position to add a boneless meal in your menu Good luck, in a few days Sherry will lock down this thread and place it in the archives but be aware that you can always look through it as a reference tool but you just will not be able to post to it. Your mentor will be in to congratulate you shortly :wave3: ciao
Congrats love! You did amazing. Yes, please keep an eye on his stools over all. Just remember if his poops get too hard that replacing a bone in meal with a muscle meal is completely okay also remember to message me if you ever have any questions if you ever need help adjusting your menu always let me know
