Yes, the yolk binds to the hair and moves it out. Also feeding the whole egg is the best as it is balanced Many people say no because the egg white is dangerous but feeding the whole thing is not dangerous They are safe for ferrets (and dogs and cats). The myth originated from the fact that raw egg whites contain an enzyme, called avidin. This enzyme sequesters biotin and makes it unavailable. However, here's why you don't have to worry. 1) Raw egg whites are only 0.05% avidin. 2) Raw egg yolks contain one of the highest concentrations of biotin found in nature. There is plenty of biotin available in the egg yolk to overcompensate for the avidin in the egg white. As long as the entire egg is fed, there are no risks of biotin deficiency.

Sunday: AM: Turkey Neck Pm: Heart Hope I did that right.. he is already done with Monday so let me know if I need to change anything I could not find duck but I am going to call WhiteTail farms tomorrow morning First things first a raw fed ferret should be fed twice a day so the am meal should be a certain amount that lasts him to his next meal. So if he eats 4 oz in the am and there is only a little bit next feeding then you are feeding the perfect amount. Make sure you feed the same amount for each meal. Your menu is off... Sun AM: organ meal (½ liver, ½ other organ) Sun PM: edible bone-in meat Mon AM: edible bone-in meat (or muscle) Mon PM: edible bone-in meat Tues AM: heart Tues PM: edible bone-in meat Wed AM: muscle meat Wed PM: edible bone-in meat Thur AM: heart and organ (½ liver, ½ other organ) Thur PM: edible bone-in meat Fri AM: edible bone-in meat (or muscle) Fri PM: edible bone-in meat Sat AM: muscle meat Sat PM: edible bone-in meat Sunday AM and Thursday AM is the only time you feed liver and another organ. Tuesday AM and Thursday AM is the only time you feed heart. While heart has taurine and it's definitely water soluble and you can't over do taurine. But heart can make for soft poops so that's why I recommend staying on the menu. Liver has vitamin a in it. If you over feed it you can create a vitamin a toxicity. That's why it is important that you feed it only on Sunday am and Thursday am. Egg can be used as a snack in between your meals. So say you fed him in the morning so in the afternoon you can give him a snack. We need more bone in meals on the meals that say bone in we need bone in meals. Bone in is edible bone that's chicken wibgs, turkey wings, duck wings. Turke, duck, chicken necks. Quail, rabbit, mice, rats etc all considered bone in meals. I am glad he is doing so well!! His weight will go up. Just wait till spring comes he will totally slick out and look like a different ferret

Your ferret should regularly receive a bare minimum of 3 proteins. However, the more variety you can offer the better! Even mixing in new meats on occasion is better than never. Some meats are seasonal so we understand that you may not be able to feed everything in the menu year-round. A minimum of 3 proteins should be fed year-round (for example, pork, chicken, and beef). Most meats sold as fit for human consumption are okay to feed ferrets as long as they are NOT processed, seasoned, or injected with saline (read labels carefully). Also, some meats not “fit” for human consumption can bed fed as well, these include meats such as commercial raw made just for pets, whole prey, butcher scraps etc. Ferrets should NEVER be fed processed meats, seasoned/flavored meats, meats with additives, meats injected with saline to preserve freshness. Any human-grade meat that is non-processed, non-seasoned, and non-preserved (read labels – many meats contain saline preservative) is safe for your ferrets to eat. Additionally, many non-human grade meats are also safe (raw pet foods, commercially ground raw, whole prey, etc). Below is a list of food suggestions: chicken turkey pork beef (also veal) bison (buffalo) rabbit duck lamb goat fish (mackerel, salmon, halibut, goldfish, etc also, fish oil is very good for them) pheasant quail venison and game meats rodents (mice, rats, african soft furred rats, guinea pigs, etc) cornish game hen moose caribou kangaroo goose emu Some parts that are good to have of all of the above animals: heart (is a muscle meat but vital for the taurine) liver and other organs tongue (a muscle meat; beef tongue specifically is extremely high in taurine) brain (VERY nutritious organ meat – high in taurine and other nutrients) lung (great source of iron and Vitamin B, feed as a minimal part of “other organs” Read More) gizzards (is a muscle meat – great for cleaning teeth) chicken feet (good bone source – i.e. for a bone-in meat you could feet pork chops and chicken feet) necks (also a good bone source, may need to be smashed up) ribs (pork ribs have edible bones – usually that is right on the line of thickest bones they can eat, some ferrets can handle pork ribs other can’t eat the bones but can often still get the marrow out depending on the cut) Read more here holisticferretforum.com/natural-diet/raw-diet-the-meat-of-the-site/variety/

I will have my hubby pick me up some turkey wings and mice as well as brain today.. when you say mice do you mean like the frozen feeder mice you can buy from the pet store? Today I will give him the Turkey wing then since he needs more bone and re adjust my menu... I am so sorry I am having such a hard time with this part how much Fish is allowed per week? I happen to love fish and have that for myself. I have tilapia.. is that kind of fish ok?

So your Wednesday am should just be frog legs. Your pm meal should be a muscle meat. Thursdays am looks good but it should be 1/2 heart 1/4 liver 1/4 kidney Saturday should be a muscle meal like the beef stew meat and Saturday pm should be a bone in meal
