I assume he is on kibble? That poop doesn't look to scary to me. Slightly seedy yes, but he is a baby.

I saw that on the ferret poop chart it meant he had parasites.

How long have you had him and what kind of kibble is he eating?

Haha, nevermind, I saw that you just got him. Well their digestive system is pretty short which means what they eat usually comes out 3 to 4 hours later. Stress, like getting a new home or a change in routine, can cause wonky poos too. Could be he just needs some time to settle in.

How long have you had him and what kind of kibble is he eating? I'm not sure, I just got him today and he was on zupreem. I'm hoping to change my two boys to raw in the upcoming month. The person I got him from told me he hadn't been fed in 2 days or so and he chomped down on my boys Marshall kibble!

It looks seedy to me. When I first got Shelby her poop looked just like this. It's not concerning to me.

I saw the chart and I flipped out! Plus I was scared that whatever he had, he'd give to my healthy big boy. I rather worry than have him actually have a problem, you know?

Whoa! I'm glad you got him, then poor guy not getting any food. If he's switched suddenly from one kibble to the next, that can also cause mild upsets. He has to get used to a new food. I would let him settle in and keep him on whatever food your business is on. While he's settling in will be a good time to read through this forum, sign up for a mentor and get a better idea of where to start.

Usually it's a good idea to quarantine a new ferret for a couple weeks to allow the vet to check him over and to see if anything unexpected surfaces. It helps prevent the passage of something infectious, like earmites or ECE to your healthy fuzz.

Thank you. You think they shouldn't have any contact? I brought his cage into my room to separate them during the night.

I think it might be too late now. If they've already played together, if he had anything, you other is already exposed. Keeping them separate for bed is a good idea until you know they get along. Keep a close eye on both of them the next couple weeks, if they don't have a change in poo, attitude, appetite or energy, you're probably fine.
Did you get any paperwork from the previous owner? Shot records or birth certificate? I'm not exactly sure when they need follow-up shots from the boosters they get from a pet store.

She is going to drop off all paper work tomorrow. No shots yet, she got the fuzzy at a pet store and only had him for about a week. Couldn't care for him so I offered! I'm going to take both boys for a check-up in a week. I'm a little scared:/ my big boys poop is always a bit seedy but I feel like it's the marshalls kibble. I had his poop checked and it came out fine.
