They're on mince at the moment ... I think last night was a mix of heart, duck and rabbit. They're start on mice and chicks in the next week, but do have pork, beef, lamb, chicken, sprats, turkey and pigeon alongside organ mix, liver chunks and spleen chunks.

They do honk like crazy ... they are just realising I mean food ... and it's a heck of a job keeping them all in as they rush the door! Thank goodness Summer has finally decided I am allowed to handle them though!
The food colouring works well but it fades in only 24 hours so I have to touch up their ears every day to make sure I know who is who. I wouldn't want to use anything longer lasting though for fear of it being toxic.
My kits are getting through 2.5kg of meat daily at least ... but I do have a few more than you! I always give them plenty though, I'd rather throw a bit away before the next feed than have them hungry and waiting for their tea with grumbly bellies!
I bet your kits are really big! Mine look big but someone came by to visit their kit on the weekend with 2 8 week old hob kits and they were absolutely HUGE! Their heads were twice the size of my biggest 9 week old, and body length was just a tad longer than one of my full grown hobs!
Looking forward to photos of your new additions, I bet they are adorable, wish someone would surprise me with a few little monsters but the OH isn't overly enthusiastic about the ferrets!

When I look at those pics I can see why the pet stores get them so young. They are irresistible Then they grow up into the stinky pooping thieves they're named for!

They are adorable but it's a shame pet stores and ferret mills don't think about the fact that they need Mum for at least another 4-5 weeks. These babies honk the place down when Mum comes back after only ten minutes out for a run round and play, they would be devastated if Mum didn't come back. Incredibly cute, but they eat like horses and poo like elephants!
